    Looking at refinancing your loan?

    No

    Advertisements not allowed.

Alos, this deal has been available with all brokers for a while now.

    • Who is Alos ?

    • I've complained about this before, brokers are allowed to spam deals that they add no value to in order to drum up business, can't see why the actual issuing bank wouldn't be allowed to by that logic. But they do have to put their ACL/AFSL, and this guy didn't (it's especially bad since he's a rep so if ASIC saw this they'd have a fit since it's definitively an ad).

How often can I flip cashback remortgage offers before it stops working, asking for a friend :)

    • -1

As often as you want… I’ve done 3 this year for the same loan for $12k in cashback

      • Are you usually dealing with exit fees or do you have to wait for a certain period before you can refinance again? And obviously the cashback outweighs and potential fees?

Have been looking at doing this for a while but my lack of knowledge + a bit of laziness is not so permitting

Refinancing fees are on average around $800, so provided the cashback is above that then the rest is money in the bank.

You don’t really need to wait a certain period. Some lenders require 3 months of mortgage statements but you can usually provide that over multiple financial institutions if you want to refinance in less than 3 months. So far it’s been fine for me.

          • @El-Rhi: Awesome, thanks. Ever have much trouble chasing the cashback money or they're normally pretty good?

@JobbaWobba: It’s pretty quick, normally within 30 days

  • There are better deals than this around at the moment.

  • These 'deals' are becoming borderline just plain leads acquisition marketing ploys.
