  • Just received mine in Perth.

    • when did you order yours?

      • 10th of Sep.

  • +1

I've given up on this thing now. Still haven't had an update since Sep 17. I'm just going to buy a Pixel 5 or Galaxy S20 FE and sell this when it turns up.

    • I will buy it :)

  • So did i ordered within 2 minutes of launch no updates since 25.09 just ordered oneplus 7t pro today will sell this one when turns up

    • I will buy it :)

      • If u r in vic it is yours oneplus 7t pro arrived on 3rd day of order happy with 90hz on Qhd screen

        • I am in NSW unfortunately :(

    • I'm estimating arrival for most of us between 22-26 Oct based on delays at facilities that do sorting of international parcels.

      • There are tons of people in this thread that already received it weeks ago with free shipping. There are people in this thread that received it 10 days after purchasing it. There was a guy that bought it on the 11th Sep and received it on the 21st Sep.

I purchased mine on the 8th when there was about 3 votes on this post. I haven't had another update since the 17th, when it left China/Hong Kong/Singapore or wherever it's coming from, and it's still not in Australia yet.

I don't know how you can estimate anything at this point. I'd just like to know where it is at the moment.

        • i'm on the same boat

          • @nosrad: Mine arrived today, Carnegie Melbourne. Unexpected t-shirt included!

            • @Lukian: Mine still doesn't have any updates since 17 Sep saying Dispatched to Overseas Postal Admin

  • Can any one recommend a charger for this phone? I find the cheap plastic adapter with the xiaomi charger way too wobbly and unstable.

    • +1

Powerbrick and however you want to charge the brick.
(note: 27W instead of 33W so it'll charge slightly slower).

There probably aren't any decent 11W x 3A chargers on the market yet?
Quick amazon search for 33w finds this which has straight prongs - pair with xiaomi board

If charging speed isn't important - this doubles as a travel adapter, when we're allowed to again.

    Received mine in Qld.✌

That's one big ass charger. Add on the adaptor….only place it goes is the drawer

what a great deal, I'd buy 2 now if it was on

  • Phone doesn't come with earphone?? That's a first.

Not sure if just the bugs or what, quite a few little hiccups on using it for the last 2 days
But overall is okay coming from s9+

  • Has everyone got there phone delivered from Australia Post? Was at home and tracking said attempted delivery but no card in letterbox.

Unsure who actually "attempted delivery". Was free shipping.

    • It's auspost as the reciprocal carrier.

    • Yeah Aus post just squeezed mine into the letterbox.

  • Don't know why, I don't like this phone after using it for a week.

Tiny bugs here and there. Reception wasn't the best with BOOST sim.

Loading SMS is super laggy (might be becoz I got thousands of MSG's in there which I need to keep forcreference/)

Probably will sell it and move my move to a iPhone for a try

    • It's all rom related issues tbh once it's ironed out they should be resolved. It's not full optimised so there will be releases where they'll fix bugs.
Use Textra as default SMS. You can get adfree version if you search google.
Once a stable custom rom is released i'll be switching but for now i'm sticking with xiaomi.eu rom. No issues are related to hardware on mine.

  • Finally got an update today after not receiving anything since the 17th Sep.

Oct 20, 2020 13:00 Drifted past the Mariana Trench

    • Drifted past the Mariana Trench

The Mariana Trench is some where in the Western Pacific Ocean ?

      Must be coming by Sea.

      I guess it's a joke?
But hey, I am on the same boat. No update since 17 Sep.

      • It's getting pretty ridiculous now……no update for 5 weeks. It's fair to say my first ever order with Aliexpress hasn't been awesome - "Estimated delivery: Sep 28 - Oct 19". It's not even in the country yet if you follow their tracking, so best case scenario looks to be sometime in November. :-/

        • It's not unusual for AliExpress deliveries to take a while. As I have said before, my average delivery time is 2-3 months though my phone arrived in less than 1.

          • @Livert: There were 3 votes on this post when I ordered mine. It was about 10 mins old. You would think they'd send them out in the order they received them, but that's obviously not the case. It's kind of irrelevant now anyway. Next time I'll just wait for Mymobile or Tobydeals etc…lesson learnt.

            • @jimbler: Based on observations on here, I don't think it gets processed in order after items reach Sydney. I imagine there is a huge mountain of packages in the Sydney distribution centre that gets randomly picked from.

          • @Livert: I guess I am lucky….4 weeks wait till it gets to qld

            • +1

@lovepub: Yeah. Took mine 3 weeks to Brissie too. Took 5 weeks to reach my sister in Melb even when we placed order at the same time.

    This is really going swimmingly.

Does anyone find this phone with reception issues?

I am getting bad voice call quality (with/without speakerphone).
And the 4g is also intermittent. And worst of all, I am missing text messages that people are sending me. (I am using Boost mobile)

Crap 4g or bad voice call I can probably let it off, but missing text MSGs is a shocker.
Already happened in 2days from 2 diff people .
God knows how many more I missed.

Not good when I use this for my business
    🤦🤦

    • Keep it updated because Miui 12 isn't really optimised for X3 yet. They just released 12.0.4.0

  • +1

    Praise Jesus…

    Your package is almost there!
