Gaming PCs with No GPU: R5-3600: $699 / R7-3700X: $899 + Delivery @ TechFast

1470

Hi folks

In anticipation of RTX 3000 series launch, we know many of you will be looking to buy the GPU of your choosing, so we're offering RTX 3000 series-ready PCs with no GPU. These are designed for RTX 3080 (with 750W Gold PSU upgrade), RTX 3070 and below GPUs; you will need to install the relevant drivers when they are released of course. We don't know enough about RTX 3090 requirements to offer a spec for them without having tested them ourselves, but they'll almost certainly be too big for this case and possibly spec.

So you're getting a fully assembled PC, stress tested with a GPU in our facility, and shipped, ready to take whatever card you want in there. Needless to say RTX 300 series cards aren't the only GPUs you can put in them!

If you're interested in an RX 550, RX 570, RX 580, GTX 1660 or RTX 2060 in one of these, please email [email protected] for pricing and invoicing, etc.

Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 7 3700X RTX 3080/3070 Ready PCs: $699 and $899

  • Ryzen 5 3600 6 core/12 thread or Ryzen 7 3700X 8 core/16 thread processor
  • MSI B450M Mortar Max motherboard - B550 Mortar and X570 upgrades available
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (models may vary) - upgrades available on site
  • 240GB 2.5" SSD (WD Green) - upgrades available on site
  • Gigabyte P650B 650W 80+ Bronze power supply - 750W 80+ Gold upgrade available and strongly recommended for RTX 3080
  • MSI MAG Forge 100R ATX Case - 2 RGB front fans, 1 exhaust, mesh front, supports 330mm GPUs

Ryzen 5 3600 system: $699
Ryzen 7 3700X system: $899

We're planning to get these systems out well inside our regular 14 business day estimate. Unassembled systems will definitely ship quicker, as everything is in; to order this system unassembled, enter "SHIP UNASSEMBLED" in the Notes field during Checkout. We cannot remove any parts to reduce the price any further, from either assembled or unassembled systems

Important Notes about these PCs:

1) They do not feature a graphics card and will not output a display to a monitor without one. You must install your own graphics card for the PC to work as intended.
2) The PC will be fully assembled then stress tested with a graphics card installed, which will be removed prior to shipping.
3) The assembled system warranty for the system applies only to the components provided by us. Any additional components are installed at the end user's own risk. In the event of a warranty claim, any end-user modifications that are found to be the cause of, or contributing to, the issue being claimed, may have an impact on the claim.
4) Our assembled system does not apply to assembled systems; individual components' manufacturer's warranties apply. Email [email protected] for warranty claim assistance.

Expires midnight 17 September.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/565223 pair it with this and you get a decent mid range gaming pc for < 1.1k

  • Surprised nobody mentioned the $49 GT710 deal as a hold-over you until the RTX 3000 releases.

Although you probably can score cheaper going with eBay second hand ones.

Question for Luke . If we order this system today what is the realistic time frame it will ship and we receive. Understand you may have got a lot of orders so would possibly delay any new orders?

    • +1

It's not an especially busy time before 3000 launch, so it's a good time to jump on. It will be less than 10 days to dispatch barring anything unforeseen

  • Are the B550 Mortar WIFI motherboards an option?

    • Not from us sorry, we're not carrying too many B550 lines right now.

      • Pulled the trigger on the 3700x with B550 upgrade (no wifi) this morning. Wifi wasn't a deal-breaker and it's a cracking deal. Thanks.

        • Thanks for your order!

  • Damn! I think one of those 3700 may be what finally replaces my 12yo ex gaming rig which was retired to media serve status. Now I just need to work out if I drop in my old GTX 980 or GTX 1060 ……..

  • Thanks Luke for this amazing deal,

Have just bought the Ryzen 7 system with 1TB Storage, B550 MB, 32gb 3200mhz Ram and the upgrade power supply. I understand these PC's are shipped within 14 business days? So roughly I will get it within a month?

    • It's not a busy time so it will be sooner than that!

      • Hey Luke,
Just sent you an email regarding the processor cooler for my build. Would upgrading to the 240mm liquid cooler still be available?

        Thanks, Samuel

        • Will reply as soon as I can, lots in the inbox.

  • Hey Luke, just jumped in to start on an order but it says the B450 mobo is out of stock?

    • +1

      Thanks, removed inventory limit.

      • I'm not sure what happened but I couldn't load the site correctly, some drop down menus wouldn't load. I figured the site was taking a pounding from the deals running so gave it some time, apparently too much as the deal is now expired.

Will you run a similar deal for the Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9 in the future? These systems are exactly what I'm after, though I needed a couple of upgrades (mobo for Gen 4 NVMe, memory 32GB, and maybe AIO).

        • Now 3000 series has launched, unfortunately probably not. CPU stock is also at a premium and needed for complete systems.

  • stock B450 Mortar OOS

    • Thanks, removed inventory limit.

  • Jumped on this on Saturday but then realised I forgot to upgrade to the gold PSU… I have emailed about this, hopefully can get charged for this separately.

    • Yep, easy done, will reply

  • Can I run two GPUs with the included B450M motherboard? Have a Nvidia Quadro P2000 laying around and thinking about getting a mid range gpu for gaming down the track.

  • We have to pay for shipping right? Cause I am confused when it says $899 + delivery, but when I go to checkout, it says shipping is $37.55.

    • Yes, shipping is additional. The price is $899, plus whatever shipping cost is payable, which is calculated according to your location.

      • Thanks for the clarification Luke :)

  • What model is the 750W PSU?

    • The 750W Gold upgrade for this deal will be the InWin Premium Basic

Purchased on Monday, shipped out Today. Pleasantly surprised!

    • Based on your helpful advice the other day (MSI vs Gigabyte mobo) I am going to put my order in for this one today.

    • +1

Told you it was a good time to buy!

  • How's stock looking? - have conceded to join Ryzen wagon. Also how do I go about adding a 3080 to the order? ;)

    • +2

You wait just a little bit longer! The no GPU deals end today but RTX 3080 deals drop soon.

      • You sure? I've reduced my CPU budget to increase my GPU budget. $700 + $1139 (Or thereabouts+shipping) keeps me under $2k with enough room to get a 1TB nmve. I was going to reuse my current psu as well. PM tell me how long to wait for :)

  • +1

Also recieved shipment tracking for my order today. Much faster than expected. Thanks Luke!

  • -2

Received just the B450M mobo from AusPost today, and I didn't request for it to be shipped unassembled.

I'm not very experienced with building PCs but guessing I'll need to work out how to assemble now.

    • +3

Have you opened it? That will be the accessories box. Aus Post have likely split your delivery so PC won't be far behind.

      • +1

doh thanks Luke, thought I'd check before opening but it is indeed the accessories box.

      • -1

I'm in the same boat, and one of my packages arrives today and one on Monday. If I receive the PC today, is there anything I need in the accessories box to get started?

  • +2

So got my PC today, in general I'm happy with the shipping time + build quality. Only downside I can see is the use of the 'Allied' RAM, but with a 1 year warranty It shouldn't be an issue (I hope).

Ordered 14 Sept, received 21 Sept.

    Breakdown of the components:

    Case: MSI Mag Forge 100r
    Mobo: MSI Mortar b450
    SSD: WD Green 240gb
    RAM: Allied 2x8gb 1600mhz
    PSU: Gigabyte P650B

All in all for the price paid, no complains.

    • I ordered this too. Ordered 17-Sep. Shipped out today (tracking number was sent to me).
Typo in your comment, should be 3200Mhz RAM, not 1600Mhz?

      • Edit: yep 3200mhz

      • +3

You'll often see half the speed of your RAM listed in diagnostic tools, because modern RAM is Double Data Rate (DDR).

As Intel describes it, DDR "transfers data on both the rising edge and falling edge of the clock signal, and therefore doubles the memory bandwidth by transferring data twice per cycle".

My order got delivered today! The price for this PC build was a bargain and I will recommend future deals for my mates. Thanks TechFast!

  • Order delivered on Monday, unpacked today and transferred across a working graphics card…… nothing. No clicks, whirs, fan noises or motherboard lights :( I even tried another gpu from another working machine, nada.
Emailed the support email, lets see how this gets sorted out.

    • This makes me sad to read… Hope it gets resolved for you. :(

    • Try reseating the 24 pin connector, or even the power switch on the PSU itself. Doesn't make a lot of sense to get no power out of the box, hopefully not transit damage.

      • I reseated the 24 pin connector, no difference. I removed the hard drive caddy and checked the back of the PSU, all connectors were firmly connected. As far as I can tell all connectors are seated firmly.
Not sure how to reseat the power switch of the PSU, might need some instructions on what is meant by that.
Luke my mobile number is in my email to your support inbox if someone wants to call me and walk me through anything else to check.

        • I more just meant check the switch is in the on position more than reseat it. No post is far more common than no power at all. No LEDs at all on mobo? It does feel like mobo damage given all you've done. I'll make sure the CS guys get back to you asap, it will likely be Monday.

          • @luketechfast: Understood now, to me the switch looks to be ok when moved to on. No LEDs on the motherboard at all unfortunately. Thanks for following up, I will wait to hear on Monday.

            • +3

@DaDuke2310: Update in case anyone is following along -
2 email updates with support and I am trouble shooting to the best of my ability, checking connectors are firmly connected to MB and PSU, taking pictures to share what I have checked. So far nothing has made any difference.
I now strongly dislike this case, as getting to the PSU is a right pain, there are cables seemingly everywhere. I can see adding to the build will be just as painful (i.e. adding another ssd which I had planned to do).
I also feel that playing email tag is a frustrating customer experience as TechFast have discontinued any ability to call them for help (I provided my mobile number in my email but no calls only emails).

          • @luketechfast: Luke,
Can you or one of your CS guys please call me urgently tomorrow (Fri 9-Oct). The machine has turned up on the front door but I am not sure it even got to you, damn postal service may have returned it back to me. The issue with it not turning on is the same, so it hasn't been fixed. However, not your fault if it never arrived with you, I just need to know so I can go shout at the post office.
            Thanks,
            C.

  • My second package (1out of 2 was delivered last week) is still stuck with Aus post sorting facility. Can't understand why aus post cant just didn't deliver it both at once if they received the parcel together lol. Anyways haven't opened the 1st package yet. Fingers cross everything goes well.

    • Because unless they're taped together, they're separate parcels, so anything can happen.

  • +1

Any chance of a build like this one again?

  • My second package from techfast is still stuck in the Melbourne sorting facility since September 19. Meanwhile my Amazon orders (also with Aus post) have been arriving within 1 - 2 days lol
