Pretty cheap for RX 5600 XT with good review from Hardware Unboxed @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJAM0zeWEU0 along with Sapphire Pulse as the recommended one. I know the RTX 30xx and RDNA2 is announced already but I'm just a casual gamer and don't want to spend more also I got price protection on my CC so I'll just claim it when it gets cheaper.

The 5600XT is AMD's current golden card IMO.
Acceptable power consumption, a 'High Mid Range' price point and performance to match, with cooling thats acceptable even on full reference designs and often with overclock.

  • What do you mean price protection with cc?

    • i can claim the price difference with my credit card if it gets lower again.

      • Is there a time limit on the product going lower? Eg. I purchase this today and 3 months later it drops in price?
Is it a pain in the ass to claim?
Who you with to get this cc?

        • I think most of the cards that had it as a feature have discontinued it for new customers.

I have it as a Coles MasterCard customer with 2 years price protection on purchases.

        • I’m with 28 Degrees and it’s pretty easy to claim. Just fill out the online form and wait for 2 days to get it approved. I can claim as along as 1 year with any retailer in Australia.

          • @kodoq: Does 28 degrees still offer price protection for new applicants? I can't see any information on their site advertising it as a feature of their card.

Okay, can I do that with debit card?

  • Also how does this compared to the rtx 2070 or 2070 super

    • 2070 super > 2070 > 2060 super > 5600 xt > 2060

      • +6

        Don't forget the 5700 and 5700 XT:

        2070 Super > 5700 XT > 2070 > 2060 Super > 5700 > 5600 XT > 2060

The performance with the 2070 Super / 5700 XT and the 2060 Super / 5700 are so close that they are basically the same except in games that are optimised for either card.

5700 flashed with 5700 XT BIOS is about on par with 2070

      • But with dlss 2.0 2060 >> 5600xt.

I think that will be the true budget bargain ultimately as prices drop.

Hmm this or the 580 at $200++?

    • This

      • Bang for buck the 580, but that has been around for 3.5-4 years now and is on it's last legs. The 580 was a clocked up 480.

I would go with the 5600XT, while not double the performance, it's a step up by enough that you won't likely be upgrading it in 18 months.

Do we think the 5600 xt is gonna keep dropping in price? I just bought the 5600 xt from this previous deal for $412 total and it's still in the return window. I don't think this is in the price difference for me to return it but if prices keep going down I might.. , have really been debating returning it, I have a month window, maybe I should return it and wait for Big Navi? I've read they might not release cards around 5600 xt power for a while so idk, sorry for the long post but I've been really tossed and want help :(

    • It most likely will.

Well if you wait for the next generation of cards it'll make the old ones cheaper regardless of "power" improvement except for cases such as the Nvidia 1080.

Since the Nvidia 3000 cards are priced more competitively, you can get a 2000 series for way cheaper. I guess there will be unsold 2000 series stock due to people waiting for the 3000 series to release. There could also be a heap of people thinking the same on buying a cheapy 2000 series. So I guess you should have your eye on a nice 2060 or 2070 with a good cooling solution if you wait.

I don't think it will drop as drastically as the RTX 20 series cards, and it won't be for some time either. 5600XT will probably be in the ballpark of RTX 3060, and that is likely to be released early 2021. This card doesn't compete with 3070/80/90 so its safe for now..

    • I wouldn't return, TUF EVO is a better cooler than the Gigabyte.

  • I bought one 2 months ago for 500.. gg

  • I am getting components to build my gaming PC. the mb and ram from Amazon USA are going to take a while to get here. over 1 month :(
If is worth getting this? I would want a 3xxx eventually but I am not going to pay RRP for it.

and if I eventually get it, is it worth running 2 2 gpu?

  • Do you guys think that this gpu would be able to drop down to $300??

    • Perhaps, a year or two. Don't see it happening anytime soon.

      • Okay, I'm currently buying the gtx 1650 super for $210, it haven't shipped yet, dont't know If I should pull the trigger on this one

        • Depends on how much GPU power you need. Personally I'd get the 5600 XT.

        • 5600 XT is in another class to the 1650 Super. What monitor are you running? 1080p 60Hz I'd go 1650 Super for sure, 1080p 144Hz or 1440P 60/144Hz I'd go 5600 XT. The 1650 Super at $210 is a great deal though, more so than this one.

          • @Yuri Lowell: Running a 1080p 60hz monitor, but I'm thinking of purchasing a samsung sr350 1080p 75hz monitor

            • @kypermaster: I'd definitely go for the 1650 Super then. 5600 XT would just be wasted at that resolution and refresh rate.

  • I only jumped on this deal yesterday (thanks dude), and less than 24 hours later the card has already been delivered to Melbourne from SA.

I was expecting this to be running the old VBIOS but was pleasantly surprised that the model that has arrived is the Radeon™ RX 5600 XT GAMING OC 6G (rev. 2.0) which has 1‎4000 MHz memory and boost clock of 1750 MHz out of the box. No flashing required!

So far it's running amazing so I'm stoked with this find.
