These things do more harm than good to your xbox.
My unit becomes quite hot sitting in the cabinet. Either I have to move it out or get something like this, which can throw the air out.
I was thinking to get one of these or small portable usb fan. Can you tell me what harm can they make?
Some of these fans/cooling accessories draw more power than they should. In this particular design, it plugs straight into the back of the xbox, meaning that the xbox has less power than it should, or the power isn't as stable. Further some of these cooling designs don't help much, to the point that they actually melt onto the console, in some cases fusing them together. Many nasty stories, but i'm sure that there are also good ones out there. You would have to do proper research to determine which is good or bad.
thanks. For now, I have put out the xbox 360 out of my cabinet. I still can feel the heat after few minutes of heat. but now it is outside and I am not worried. I am not a hardcore gamer and I normally play for 1-2 hours max.
Get a cheap 40cm pedestal or 30cm box fan (both less than $20) and blast it into the cabinet when you're playing. They move more air for your dollar.

Would it work on 240v Xbox 360? I guess our power bricks converts to DC before it gets to the xbox so it will be the same?
