AussieBB said that they automatically received the closure and any refund will be automatically processed within 10 business days.

  • How does this compare with TPG? Currently on TPG 100/20 with 5 family members (2-3 devices each) and although the speed tests always give good results, a lot of the internet gets bogged down. Is this because too many people are using it? Would this be less of a problem if I move to Superloop? Thank you!

    • Too many variables and we don't know your usage patterns and equipment. Best thing would be to port to SL, see how your speeds are, then port back to TPG if you don't like SL.

      • How long does the port take? How long would the downtime be? The only worry I have about porting is that I wound't have internet for a few days.

        • 5-10 minutes if on FTTC. Happened so quickly this morning, I didn't even notice :)

Since you'd be moving from TPG->SL however, it will take a little longer as you'd have to reconfigure your modem not to use VLAN. SL uses IPoE, so you would just have to set your router to use DHCP for it's WAN interface after the switchover occurs. If you need help with this, post your router model and we'll do our best.

should i just click random 769 (above link) to get 100/20 for $79 for 6 months?

    • +1

      That's the one

      • +1

used the link and got $10 off for 100/10 cost $79.95, switching from ABB on 20/09, thanks

  • Does the promo code stack with a referral code? ie: $10 off p/m (promo) + further $10 off p/m as referee?

    • No. One or the other.

      • Thanks. I'll use the referral code then and help a brother/sister out :)

Best way to do it than giving the commission to WhistleOut!

Although I see you’re in Melbourne so this deal would be better for you - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/558111

You can change to any plan you like from the second month onwards so would be better overall by almost double than this deal would be.

          • @Nousernamehere: Awesome thanks. I was planning on going to the 100/40 500gb plan for $74.95 p/m (with code). If I take up the free 6 weeks, then change plans afterwards, could I still use a referral code at that time to get the $10 off p/m?

            • +2

@Dauphin3: Unfortunately not, once you’ve signed up you can’t use a referral code again unless you leave SL for a few months (the time frame seems varied from 3-6 months) as you’ve already used a referral code for the 6 weeks free offer.

For money wise you’d be better off with the free month of 100/20, then change to 100/40 500GB the next month for a cost of $49.90 for that second month.

Up to you whether you can deal with the 20Mbps upload for a month thought.

  • Thanks, signed up for using random referral!

  • It says first time customer, but if you have previously used them? I was with Superloop until the end of June 2020, used the free month for ABB and want to go back to Superloop.

    • I think you need to have been away for 6mths to qualify but not 100% certain

      • Ok thank you.

        • Why not just sign up and see? It will tell you before you submit if it will accept the code or not. Don’t really have anything to lose by trying.

  • Any play Escape from Tarkov - on Superloop - on Aussie BB its great - low ping etc - but it was shocking on Flip NBN

  • Coincidence that after I switched from AussieBB last night, I got the email offer from AussieBB for the IPO allocation at $1/share today.

    • Just timing. I switched Wednesday and got it last night too. Very poor offer IMHO.

Really hate having to connect to the NBN and having to pay more money for the same speeds ugh. $60 on optus cable for 100mbps, $90 for 100mbps on nbn :(

signed up to switch from ABB today. but ended up using a random referral, so hope that person enjoys the discount too :)

placed order at 6.53am, up and running 7.03am.
    ABB was: 6ms / 99Mbps / 38Mbps
    Superloop: 4ms / 101Mbps / 38Mbps

    FTTN

  • I just signed up today and my card kept declining. Then got an email from CBA telling me it was declined as the payment is processed overseas (I have online international payments blocked).

Might be useful for those who have cards that charge international transaction fees.

  • Does superloop still offer 100/40?

    • +1

Yes its still there. Just click on the 100/20 link and you will see the 40MB Up as an option to upgrade and a choice for 500GB or Unlimited which is already ticked.

      • Awesome, thanks for that.

  • Less than a week to go for the deal, I wonder if they will have it again soon? I would think likely but who knows!

  • Code working perfectly. Just submitted my change over to lock in the 6 month discount. Cheers!

    • Good stuff!

Yet, I should mention for others out there that by using the Referral Link vs the Whisltleout code, then credit helps out fellow OzBargainers who really could do with any referral aid they can get. 👍

      • Oh crap! My bad!

I clicked "go to deal" and it simply took me to Superloop homepage. Went through the signup and entered the Whistle out code.

  • Code not working for me.

I've tried using the referral link and the 'go to deal' link which leads through superloops front page.

I tried putting in a future date for connection as i won't need it until 5 weeks, and also tried the asap option to see if that was the issue. Neither option worked with the code.

Error when i put the code in:

    Code - Whistleout10FOR6

The promo code you have entered is invalid.

The promo code you have specified:

    may have expired,
    does not exist,
is not available for service transfers, or
is available for new customers only

    • I just successfully used the referral link at the top of the page.

I did have to turn of my ad blocker (uBlock Origin) though so try that if you have one running in your browser.

      • Okay got one to work. The random (838) link worked for me but not OP's link for some reason.

        Thanks.

        • Yeah that's the link I used too, what I said above was kind of confusing. I didn't try with the main link.

Happily sitting at 103Mbps down now, only took 10 mins to transfer from AussieBB

          • @bopter12: I will be moving house and have set the connection date for when I move in. Do you think i should try and find out if the current people in the house have NBN and who with so the connection can be transferred or it's not likely to be any issues?

I currently live out of town and have SkyMuster so i'll just need to cancel this connection separately and ill take my NetGear router with me.

            • @Geebs: You can use this link to check whether the address you're moving to is already connected and what the connection type is.

Superloop will contact the ISP of the current residents so there shouldn't be any issues with that

              • @bopter12: Thanks for the link. Looks like it has FTTP. Nice upgrade from skymuster (which has been surprisingly really good imo)
