BeWeather Pro Free for Android Phone from Getjar

70

Just saw it today on Getjar "BeWeather Pro" is free but not very sure how long it will remain free.

I am still finding the way to put it on homescreen like the sample.

Found it because I am using Link2SD so I have to create a link first before I can have the widgets.

If you don't have Link2SD you will have to install it on the phone memory.

Currently $2.99 on Android market

You need to download and install the getjar app before you can download this. Also after installing BeWeather, it is going to ask to download another 25mb of animations.

But if I download it from Getjar I cannot update it from Android Market.

Weather Australia app is good. Gives you a widget on your homescreen and is free. Made in Melb by Funtopia.TV

Basically links up with BOM. I love it.

    • Also Rain? one press straight to the BOM radar.

  • Any better than Fancy Widgets Pro?

    • Pro is not free.

The Widgets look so alike BeWeather Pro.

      • How about Beautiful Widgets? (thats free from GetJar too)

        • Beautiful Widgets is quit good and end up I am using their weather widget from them instead because they have one with smaller size.

        • yeah just got both, beautiful widgets is much better (awesome now i get the 4x1 forecast widget that i didnt have before on free version) =D

  • You need to download and install the getjar app before you can download this.

    • Forgot to mention this

      Thanks

      • No worries :)

Also after installing BeWeather, it is going to ask to download another 25mb of animations.

Make sure it is downloading via Wifi

Am doing it now as I type.

        • Completed installation and set it as a Widget on my main screen Samsung GS II.

Looking good with clock, weather and forecast incorporated.

Now just wondering how fast is the battery going to drain now :)

    • cant seem to find getjar off market?

      • I think you just need to go to m.getjar.com on your phone.

      • and then they ask you to download the getjar app

  • I use "Beautiful Widgets" also from getjar for a while now. (Marker editor choice : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.levelup.beautifulw… )

  • HTC Sense is already good enough for me but still willing to give it a try

  • Does apps from getjar get updated?
Forgot to ask: How do you change F-C?

  • I am still finding the way to put it on homescreen like the sample. Found it because I am using Link2SD so I have to create a link first before I can have the widgets.

Far out. Talk about damn complicated!

    • Yeah that is about rooting the phone : p

  • Question: If you force move apps that usually dont allow you to move to SD, eg apps with widgets, will the app still work?

    • Probably not. Moving the app can break the widget and give you an error (Problem loading widget)

  • Or you can use Fancy Widgets (free version). It sits on your homescreen and displays the weather (condition, hi-lo, current temp and location). Tapping on the weather icon gives you a standard 5 day forecast. It can grab weather updates from a choice of Accuweather, Weatherbug or Google itself. Preview

The Pro version adds some minor enhancements like animations but the free version is already 100% functional as a weather app. App is also much ligher than BeWeather at 4.5 megabytes (animations included)

  • Cant download it on my HTC Sensation for some reason, it says go to "m.getjar.com" and type in the code. So I hit the website on my browser but it goes to the main getjar page on my computer…..any way of downloading this onto my pc and transferring from there or is there a work around to my problem?

    • You need to download the Android GetJar app to your phone first — then launch the getjar app — then download BeWeather.

      • I dont wanna sound stupid but where do you get the GetJar app for android? Cant seem to find it on the market nor the GetJar website =_=

        • Go to the getjar mobile site on your device first.

Then click ANY download link, doesn't matter what app it is. Just click download.

The next page will then ask you to grab Getjar App Store. Click it and you will start the download.

  • I click on my internet browser on my phone and went to "m.getjar.com", it just redirects me to the main webpage for pc, tried the link from google and its the same thing. Tried different browsers and its all the same, I tried :P

    • On your phone not PC mate.

      • I click on my internet browser on "my phone"?

        • You might have to go into the browser settings on your phone and set the user agent to "Android". Then visit getjar from your phone.

  • Ah, Getjar. Refusing to die. Like a cockroach. Or a zombie-hand.

  • I use WeatherPro on my Android. Shows me a whole lot of other crap too and presents it with line graphs. :D
Check it out if you're looking for a better weather app.

  • FYI > Not compatible with Desire HD
