[eBay Plus] Gigabyte RTX2070 SUPER 8GB WINDFORCE OC 3X for $584.10 Delivered @ Computer Alliance

951
PIP10

Another day another new low for a graphics card. I guess this is a new low for a RTX 2070 SUPER with ebay Plus for $584.10

Looks like we slowly get to the value of the cards. I guess it will still go a bit lower (especially after October when the 3070 and the new Big Navi cards are announced). But when you can't wait anymore and don't need 4K this looks like a good price right now. Just 2 weeks ago this card was around $850.

(By the way: The speed of shipping of Compter Alliance is amazing … I ordered an SSD 2 days ago and it already arrived (Melbourne!)).

So a 3070 will use around the same watts but will significantly outperform according to reports. USD $499 retail price = AUD $690 before normal discounting.

What's the point of talking about $690 if that price point is not relevant or available in AUS?

      • Amazon UK / Amazon US / Newegg will come through with specials. Patience for me.

    • +1

RRP $750 I think - there are some bs addons to the simple conversion.

      • +1

        Conversion is: ((Price in aud) * 1.1 ) * 1.05
        10% attributes to GST
        5% attributes to import tax

$685 AUD becomes $791 which is close to the Australian price nvidea announced

Its worth mentioning that Americans don't include tax on their advertised prices.

      • Rrp is $809 for the 3070 founders

    • AMD have announced cards in Oct when the 3070 is released to compete. They are offering better value, so you decide if there's any reason warranting fear of missing out and all this BS hyped shortage and exclusivity.

    • $499 USD is ex GST.

3070 will start at a minimum $800 here, maybe $900.

Seems like ok value to me.

There are no bad cards just bad prices.

The chances of anyone getting a 3070 for less than $900 for aib ($870 for galax) is low. I mean as if retailer's are actually going to price competitively.

2070 super v 3070 based on NVIDIA claims is 27% faster while costing 50% more based on this deal pricing.

    Am I missing something?

Also better than any 5700 xt deals at the moment.

Wow and I thought id get $500 for my 1070 on eBay I think I left it a little late and I got 2x of them 🤕

  • +1

I got this for $730 when I built my PC last year - This seems like a pretty good deal - Even with the new cards coming out that will be sold out immediately for the next year

  • Not a bad price, but I think they will get a little better…

  • This is a really good deal. Great price to performance. You could get this, or wait 3-4 months for a 3060/ti it'll perform very very similarly, and I doubt it'll be much cheaper, if any, 8GB of VRAM is plenty for 1440p (at time of writing afaik).

  • this listing is now out of stock and re-listed at $699 ($629.10 after PIP10 code)

    • +1

The $699 one is a different card listed alongside this one. That one is a "Gaming OC" version while this one is the "Windforce OC" version.

Main difference being the availability of RGB Lighting and the "Gaming OC" version is clocked slightly higher.

      • ah I stand corrected, nice one

  • everyone's saying saying they'll eventually be shortages will this push up prices in all range of high end of graphics cards maybe by the end of the year, whats everyone's opinion?

    • I don't think that there will be shortages of existing cards but with those new cards (3080, 3090 & 3070) being so rare and AMD being so quiet, I think those price drops will not be as big as people have been predicting. That's why I jumped onto this deal as I doubt a 2070 Super will fall to $400; existing stocks/inventories will be exhausted before that happens.

  • Glad I could grab one .
The price of 2070 super in this deal just got bumped up to $699 after the 3080's actual price and shortages.

    • Word of warning on that ebay link. The listing heading says it's an Aorus card, but it is actually just a Gaming OC. Lower range.

I'm struggling with Gigabyte support on a MB and SSD issue at the moment. 3-7 days between replies, dumb answers irrelevant to the issue, and dangerous advice that is stated to void warranty. Regretting getting Aorus products

      • Thanks for correcting, mate . I didn't know they had an Aorus version which is the cheaper version of the Windforce .

If you bought it from here, they accept returns within 30 days.

        • +1

I think the hierarchy goes Windforce, Gaming then Aorus (quite a bit more expensive). Different overclocks of each. It gets more confusing as they use Windforce fans in each. If you have issues it's good to have the 30 day backup. I'm holding out for a Strix 2070 Super to drop a little more in price next month (quietest, good ports, good overclock) and have given up on 30x0 stock for now.
