GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Party like it's 1995! Kicking off RTX 3080 season with high spec systems through our partnership with Gigabyte, starting at $1998 with the Ryzen 5 3600.

Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X | Gigabyte RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PCs: $1998 and $2188 after GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Here's how allocation works:

  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Eagle OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Gaming OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • More stock is arriving in October for both. Once the "September" cards in the Graphics Card section are marked as sold out on the website, you can purchase the October variants, and your system will ship as soon as they come in.

It is strictly first come, best dressed, no holdsies.

Godspeed.

      • COD goes through AORUS not AMD.

Am I the only one left that ordered a eagle October card system on the 18/9 that has not received shipping notice? I saw some posts that 19/9 orders had their system already.

    • Have you emailed them?

    • Luke mentioned before all October and November card orders would arrive to Techfast by end of November so hopefully yours is soon

If that changes I hope he keeps everyone updated.

  • +3

I know I'm going to get the PC eventually but this is becoming frustrating hahah.

    • I'm so anxious that the October ones still won't be fulfilled until December 😔 I really regret wasting $100 for an MSI Ventus. I only did it to get it sooner, but it's an inferior card and now that it's been delayed for this long I really wish I'd just stucked to the November Eagle.

      • Same, I really regret being impatient and going for an October MSI Ventus when a November Eagle will probably would've arrived at a similar time now. I'm hoping the fact that they're still taking orders on November Ventus cards means that surely all October cards will be fulfilled before December.

      • Why is it an inferior card?

        • +1

1740MHz (Ventus OC) vs 1755MHz (Eagle OC). The difference is not noticeable.

    • +3

it's definitely worth the wait, i waited almost 2 months for the system, and couldn't be happier about it when i received the system. The build really exceeded my expectations.

  • +1

Everyone worried about their October orders and I'm sitting here waiting for a November :')
I'm living vicariously through everyone getting their PCs, keep up the posting!
And keep up the good work TechFast, it's appreciated

    • +2

I think Luke said that the October cards will now be coming around the same time November cards so hopefully you guys won't be delayed for too long! fingers crossed

    • October cards are delayed. November are not. November will be shipped at regular rate. Which means it will arrive at around the same time as october cards

      • Hard to assume things go accordingly seeing as October cards weren't officially delayed (aside from golden week) until much time had already passed

        • They have to catch up at some point and we have been told October and November cards should arrive by end of November.

I'm not sure how much pushing of suppliers is happening behind the scenes or offering of alternative cards but most businesses look to limit the negative exposure when building long term trust with the consumer.

Hopefully they are looking to achieve October cards being completed ASAP and November bringing them back on track.

          • @cheapaschips: Have a look at Scorptec and PccG.

They have pages detailing the go with backorder 3000 cards.

            A bit nuts.

          • @cheapaschips: They are doing a pretty good job limiting their negative exposure (from my experience, at least).

            • @nascent: I agree, but there is a point when you stop limiting the damage and start rebuilding the confidence.

I will commend Luke as he has answered some hairy questions I have asked with honestly(albeit I feel he can still share more)

They are definitely doing a decent job firefighting. Maybe time to put out some fire though?

Anyone know how I turn off the RGB Ring and AMD Logo on the AMD Wraith Cooler for 3700x?
The Gigabyte MB RGB software controls the middle fan but not the ring and logo. There is a usb header plug inside the MB box that looks like it can attach to the amd wraith cooler next to the RGB cable.

    • +1

Here is the official AMD Wraith Prism RGB profile download.
      https://landing.coolermaster.com/pages/amd-ryzen-wraith-pris…
For the profile to work properly I think you can only have the USB cable connected and not the RGB cable connected.

    • +2

yeah you need to take out the RGB cable and plug in the usb one that should have come in your mobo box.
this video helped me out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzAtfcPWfOw

once you have the usb cable attached, you'll be able to use the coolermaster software linked above. good luck!

      • Just installed it, thanks!

Any MSI Ventus customers here who ordered has received their system?
Still can't get even an approximate date out of TF so I'm assuming this will get dragged into December.

    • +1

October order delivered a few weeks ago

      • +1

I have an October order as well. No solid response on it whatsoever. Trying not to be frustrated with it and get into a it'll come when it comes mentality but honestly it's quite difficult.

  • +2

Another week almost gone. Any update on deliveries of cards?

    • +1

October Gamings are cleared. Some progress through October Eagles but a way to go still. October Ventus getting there too.

      • +1

Are you still expecting to have October Ventus orders done before December?

        • +1

We're expecting the stock for both October and November orders to arrive before the end of November, with the systems ready ASAP after they arrive.

          • @luketechfast: Hey Luke, so for the Gaming OC cards for November customers is gonna be available November ending to December beginning??

            • @Fyerr: That's our plan for all 3080 "Month" cards, yep, receiving November and dispatched asap after.

              • +2

@luketechfast: Do you have an estimated date for when the next batch of October eagles are arriving?

                • @zjz93: Please also add November Eagles to that estimated date request since November nearly over too.

                • +3

                  @zjz93: Next week!

                  • @luketechfast: Thank you!! Forwarding this to a few of my friends that also ordered eagles

  • +2

Im hoping at least all the eagle cards ordered on the first day of this deal get fulfilled.

    • +1

Same - Hoping the systems are shipped early this week so they have time to arrive before the weekend.

      • Luke said that they were arriving this week some time. It really depends on how many cards they could stick into the prebuilts before the weekend comes.

    Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know when the COD promotion ends and when the last day to REDEEM COD is?
I believe it expires sometime in DEC 2020 but the last day to redeem is something else. Does anyone have info?
    Thanks!

    • +1

Checked their terms and conditions… it expires on the 10th December, and we have until January 11 to redeem.

      • So we do have until January 11th, 2021 to redeem.
        I appreciate it THANK YOU!!

        • You need to send in the AORUS form by the 10th. I believe you have until January 11th to attach the game to an account.

So my computer arrived this morning - thanks so much Luke and team!
Just one issue (and I've just raised a support request but thought I'd check here just in case)… I got the Allied 240mm AIO and while the fans are working (including rbg), the pump is not lit up and I'm not actually sure if it's working. Also, I can't get a CPU temp reading from the monitoring software I'm using (NZXT CAM). Just wondering if anyone here had the same issue or might know what the issue is? Disclaimer: I am a complete PC noob.

    • +2

Use this to check CPU temps -> https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/ryzen-master

      • Thanks! Yeah I'm getting temps of about 59 degrees pretty much sitting at idle. I think the AIO isn't working properly.

    • i have the deepcool 240mm AIO and i don't see the CPU temp in any software either. But i was able to see it inside bios, and the cpu temp was fine.

    • Nice man,
Time/date of order, and which card did you get?

      • I ordered on the 18th at 3:45, but I upgraded to the 5900x.

Any ideas for the AIO pump lights not working?… Or alternatively how do I check that the pump is working?

        • +1

Pretty sure it would be a loose cable that's popped out during internal packaging. The 5V headers generally don't seat all that firmly. Have a close look to see if any small cables going to the motherboard are loose or disconnected. The 5V cable is a small thin rectangle with two pins, a gap, and another pin. That powers the lighting.

          • @luketechfast: Thanks Luke but I've had a look and can't see anything that's loose / disconnected. On the top right there's a free AURA RGB header but it doesn't have any cables near it. All good, I'll wait for the support guys to contact me. Thanks again!

            • @n00btastic: So nothing is plugged into the AIO_Pump header… Does that mean my pump isn't actually working?

              • @n00btastic: So it turns out it was just a loose cable after all (on the back of the mobo), so all good! I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Luke and the team. I understand people being frustrated with the long lead times, but just speaking from my personal experience they have been incredibly helpful. They have always dealt with my (many!) direct queries promptly and helpfully and have been extremely understanding and patient with my many changes of mind regarding upgrades. I will definitely recommend TechFast to any of my mates looking for a new system. Thanks again!

Shipping Notification received MSI Ventus 3080 ordered on 30th October 2020.

    • +1

      Ordered on 19/9 at 2:30pm

But i changed my card from an Eagle to an MSI Ventus about 2 weeks ago.

      Hmmm..

      • Changing might have put you at the end of the msi queue

        • Nah they said my position in queue wouldn't change.

          Probably did though..

          • @Lelouch216: Can you PM me your order details so I can look into it?

    • This is interesting since I switched my order to an MSI Ventus October on the 6th of October… sent them an email to get this cleared up as I was under the impression there was a queue.

    • +1

FMD.. When are the Eagles coming in. (20/10 order)

      • Luke said stock arriving this week. I think you will get an email by next week at best if you are october eagle. They still have a lot to get through. (19/9) order

    • This gives me hope for my Ventus order, getting closer to my date! 🤞

    • +1

You ordered 30 September 2020 not 30 October 2020 right?

      • +2

I checked his post history. I think you're right.

        That would explain it hahaha

Was worried my order was skipped over.

        • +1

I have the same feeling, dont know if the post was a troll.

  • +7

Techfast really should have offered to put some of those people who ordered eagles on the 19th September onto another cards with better availability. At this stage people who ordered a 3080 system weeks later into October are receiving their systems while were still waiting :(

Have heard way better experiences from people who went through TitanTech for their 30 series cards tbh.

    • They have been upgrading people, for free, where they can so that deliveries go out the door.

      • Really? Which upgrades have people gotten?

        • Ventus to Gaming X Trio is one, I've seen other orders post too (think Eagle to Gaming OC)

I wouldn't expect an upgrade by any means though

          • @nascent: Yeah I asked for a switch to literally any other 3080 and they flat out refused.

Had to literally ask for a token mousepad like I saw others being offered

I honestly won't be recommending them after this.

    • +1

Seriously. I understand the delays are for everyone and out of TechFast's control but this entire process has been a little frustrating. Literally just sitting here and seeing people order after me get their PCs.

Nothing else we can do I suppose.

    • Doesnt titantech also have higher prices

  • +1

At least for MSI Ventus October orders, don't get your hopes up for this week. In an email they said they were expecting end of November but it could be pushed into December. Given that they're still not sure, I have a feeling we'll be waiting longer.

    • +9

(profanity) I hope this isn't true, last week they were fairly confident that they would be in by the end of the month. I'll be so annoyed if this shit carries on into December, at that point it's getting ridiculous!! I should have saved my $100 and just got a November Gigabyte card which look likely to ship before my October Ventus. I feel like we are reaching a point where techfast should be thinking about slipping in a little upgrade or some kind of compensation for how long we have had to wait.

      • +1

From the posts I've read here apparently they have been giving people some extra freebies and upgrades as compensation, but evidently not to everyone. I guess you just have to complain enough for them to actually consider it.

        • +1

I really don't want to be that guy who complains that much to them though, I'm sure they are dealing with enough of that.

          • +1

@PediatricLemon: I havent been complaining only enquiring via emails because they haven't sent me any emails saying there has been a delay with my order. I thought that would be standard practice to notify your customers if there is a delay.

            • +2

@Stevil One: Oh I've emailed a couple of times to check on the status, but I've done my best to keep my frustration in check when I've done it because I don't want to give them too much grief for something that's largely out of their hands. The vague responses and updates are a little annoying though.

              • @PediatricLemon: I also followed up on an email I sent at the start of the month asking for an update. Got the same vague reply you probably did. No hard indication that it's coming soon.

                • +2

@DavidBrentIPresume: It's so annoying because I have a month of annual leave from the 16th if Nov to the 14th of December and now I'm stuck with nothing to do because I have no computer. Instead I'm stuck dealing with my family, (profanity) kill me now that's not a good trade. I should get compensation just for the pain and suffering of that, haha.

                  • @PediatricLemon: Feel ya mate. All we can do is wait. Good luck to you :)

                  • +1

@PediatricLemon: Im in the same boat took 24 days off work to build my new pc and get ready for cp 2077 big (profanity) fail. Oh well better than being at work I suppose.

      • Agree!

      • +1

Balance of Ventus cards expected this week - shipment tomorrow and Friday/Monday by the looks.

        • Fingers crossed that this is true.

        • Thanks for the update Luke, hope this works out to be the case. You can have my first born if you get me in the first batch, I mean he's giving me the shits anyway, haha.

  • +1

I may be ignorant due to where I live and not following media but why are the delays happening? Factory workers can't work from home, delivery chains cant either. I have not had any major change to my work (mining) so I dont get it.

    • Nvidia had a supply problem from the date the card was launched. This + corona affecting shipping and production in china caused these delays.

      • Corona isn't even a problem over there according to all the 'official' numbers put out by China…

  • +3

Hi Luke, any updates on October and November Gigabyte eagles or gaming oc cards?

    • +2

Yes please Luke . A bit worrying the conflicting information people are writing about in this thread about being pushed into December and uncertainty on stock.

Also looks like the vague responses to customers seem to be continuing.

Can we get a clear update on each card type by month and when full allocation is expected if any different to "all arriving by end of November"

Previously you mentioned all November cards will arrive by end of November. Is this still the case?

    • +3

Howdy. Both are still expected in this month still, and we're geared up for assembly and shipping asap thereafter. Ditto with Ventus - large shipment arriving tomorrow by the looks, then either Friday or Monday for a good amount more.

      • Thanks for the update Luke! Greatly appreciated!

        • Thanks for update Luke

Please pass onto your customer service team as well as people have mentioned conflicting advice.

Anyone have any luck redeeming a Black Ops code for their 3080? I spoke to Gigabyte support but due to the invoice date on the 18th Sept, they were only able to help me redeem a Watch Dogs Legion code.

    • How did you go about redeeming it?

    • Hey can you please advise how you got in contact with Gigabyte and how you could redeem watchdogs without your pc and serial number?? Highly appreciate it if you could please advice.
