GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Party like it's 1995! Kicking off RTX 3080 season with high spec systems through our partnership with Gigabyte, starting at $1998 with the Ryzen 5 3600.

Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X | Gigabyte RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PCs: $1998 and $2188 after GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Here's how allocation works:

  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Eagle OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Gaming OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • More stock is arriving in October for both. Once the "September" cards in the Graphics Card section are marked as sold out on the website, you can purchase the October variants, and your system will ship as soon as they come in.

It is strictly first come, best dressed, no holdsies.

Godspeed.

20th Eagle as well…At this stage my PS5 will be coming before this. First world problems lol.

      • +2

18th Eagle order also. At this rate together with shipping times its looking realistic to expect the computer delivered only by December…

    • +1

Same. I've seen 2 users with shipping notices, one ordered within 50 mins of me and one that seems to be ordered after.

EDIT: System is dispatching tomorrow as they want to do overnight testing. Just to reiterate: ordered
      Eagle - 18/9 @ 03:40PM

      • +1

        Did you email them?

        • Late yesterday arvo, and they responded just then.

          • +2

            @chuckallstarz: Cool!

To let everyone else know, I ordered unassembled around 5.45 eagle card.

My reply from them has been I've been allocated a card from a shipment which I assume is still to arrive.

            • +4

@NexERO: It's interesting how they do radio silence when having delays. I would think communication would be of higher importance during this time to keep customers informed.

We all know there are delays. Why can't Techfast advise something along the lines of …

"300 October Eagle orders pending. 200 cards incoming this week and 100 end of November. "

..And something similar for November December orders.

Everyone is waiting anyway but some transparency would help.

              • +2

                @cheapaschips: nothing a free rgb mousepad won't solve :P

              • @cheapaschips: There's plenty of transparency but buried deep in an OzBargain thread where I just can't see every message isn't the place. I need people with specific queries to email us with their order details, or it's just not possible to help.

                • +1

@luketechfast: Yes I agree you do reply to a lot of queries here and via email and it is great.

However from my experience regarding supply. Both ozbargain and email replies have similar non descript answers (ie. A few weeks they will arrive)

…Yet when that time comes around only partial orders get fulfilled continuously.

The transparency I speak of is (X percentage of October /November cards incoming. X percentage of pending orders to be fulfilled and shipped ) you don't need to even mention total number of orders /cards should you wish to keep that discrete.

Yes this is a situation caused by nVidia but our contracts are not with NVIDIA and we would be asking them the same supply and fulfilment questions if it were.

                  Hope that helps clarify

                  • +3

@cheapaschips: All valid queries and points. We've given out those types of updates to customers by email previously, when we knew for certain that X number of cards were arriving on (at least very close to) Y date. This situation is different - we've only sold the amount of cards we were told were available to us, but they're coming in both infrequently and in undisclosed batch sizes, so we don't know how many we're getting until we get them. It's so different, and makes specifics so difficult. As for why a customer at a certain date or time hasn't received their order but someone seemingly later has, I would need to look into each specifically case by case. It might be held up in build or in testing, or a tester may have picked up a system later than it instead, it's really impossible to say unless we get a direct query about it, which we're happy to answer via direct email.

      • Got the shipping email! Excited for the next phase of anticipation!

  • Anyone know if the have 5900x in stock ? Feel like that's all I'm waiting on now 🤣

Just got shipping notification for Eagle. Ordered on 18/10 around 15:10

    • Meant 18/9, my bad lol

  • Got shipping notification today, card is gigabyte gaming oc, ordered around 11am on the 19th Sep. Also upgraded the cpu to 5600x, techfast's customer service is great.

  • Just received a reply from support (October Eagle ordered at 18/10 around 15:10)

We've just received your card, we're expecting to ship you out tomorrow!

    • Wait I ordered 18/9. Did I seriously wait an extra month to have yours ship the same day ?

      • Fairly sure he meant September - were there even Oct allocations left by that date?

      • Sorry, that was a typo! 18/9 for me too.

    • Just received my shipping notification at 15:10

  • +1

Hi TechFast, do you have an estimated time for the batch of November Gigabyte Gaming OC cards to arrive?

    • +1

Don't hold your breath. I've asked similar questions before but are conveniently ignored or some Blaise answer given

Like surely they have an idea of pending orders and stock incoming.

    • lots of people who ordered on the first date this deal is posted are still yet to receive their orders , so I assume Nov cards will be late Dec this year or may even be pushed back to next year

    • +1

We're expecting them to follow the same pattern as September and October cards and arrive later in the month at this stage. Hopefully manufacturing issues are being worked through but the most realistic scenario is later in November right now.

      • At what stage can November orders be cancelled without incurring restocking fee?

        • I'd have to look into it with Ops. At this stage they're not in delay.

          • @luketechfast: Thanks for quick reply, do let us know once you find out from ops.

However if you foresee/anticipate a delay for any of November orders(early or later placed) it would be nicer now to cancel instead of having the money tied up for another month and stress of waiting.(for anyone wishing to do so?

            • @cheapaschips: I take your point, it is part of the initial sale on the other hand that the card is expected in November + whatever build and testing time is required thereafter. Obviously there's such a big time difference between an order placed in September/October to shipping, so I get it.

              • @luketechfast: Thanks ..however I thought you would pre build and slot in card once arrived? That would be more efficient no?

    • Given that the delay is due to Nvidia's supply issue, you're probably in for a massive wait. Time to buckle in.

Just recieved my shipping notification. Eagle, ordered 2pm on the 18th. Upgraded to the Zen 3 5600x as well. Honestly, I was really impressed with their service- each time I had a question they got back to me within hours. It must be hard from their end if they've given timeframes on the information they got from upstream, then having to deal with understandably angry customers when the suppliers/manufacturers hold things up. I was just happy to be given the chance to get a product no one else in the world seems to be getting this side of christmas. Good luck to everyone and fingers crossed your systems are ready soon

    • +1

Well said mate, I can confirm I've had a similar experience with their customer service. Very quick to respond to my (many) emails and very flexible in accommodating my requests (upgrading the mobo and processor, as well as answering a multitude of questions I had along the way). As an FYI, I ordered on the 18th of Sep at 3:45. My assigned GPU is ready to go and as far as I know the only thing delaying the the build of my system is the upgrade to the 5800x CPU.

      • Does anyone know the upgrade cost from a 3700x to 5800x? On top of this could you only buy a AIO cooler, no fan option? Anyone thinking of changing 3080 to 6800xt and cost?

        • The upgrade costs $259, Yeah you can only buy an AIO or go unassembled like I have.

    • +7

It must be hard from their end if they've given timeframes on the information they got from upstream

I completely understand that those delays are beyond their control, but there is definitely room for improvement.

We shouldn't have to keep sending emails to chase information about our orders.

06/11/2020 - A big number of MSI Ventus, Gigabyte Eagle and Gigabyte Gaming orders will be shipping early next week

What is a big a big number?

They could easily make these updates more explicit. For example:

      • MSI Ventus: order numbers TFxxxxxxx and below are expected to ship early next week.

      • Gigabyte Eagle: order numbers TFxxxxxxx and below are expected to ship early next week.

      • Gigabyte Gaming: order numbers TFxxxxxxx and below are expected to ship early next week.

Alternatively, if they don't feel comfortable sharing information that could potentially reveal the number of orders they have received, they could instead say:

      • MSI Ventus: orders placed before dd-MM HH:mm are expected to ship early next week.

      • Gigabyte Eagle: orders placed before dd-MM HH:mm are expected to ship early next week.

      • Gigabyte Gaming: orders placed before dd-MM HH:mm are expected to ship early next week.

      • +1

I emailed them at 4PM yesterday and haven't received a reply yet however understandably they are probably working through a lot of emails and each reply has been great.

On one hand I get why they don't want to give estimates with slightly more specifics such as "orders X Y Z will be shipping on Monday" cause if they don't, people will be more annoyed.

It's rather concerning when people who's orders are a few hours or even into the next day have shipped already even though Luke said they were basing it off order date/time.
It would make sense if they were different GPUs such as the MSI Ventus, but Nyclix and Fahebo both had shipping notifications.

        What's going on…

        • What's part of your email address so I can look it up and get you an answer?

        • +1

On one hand I get why they don't want to give estimates with slightly more specifics such as "orders X Y Z will be shipping on Monday" cause if they don't, people will be more annoyed.

Agreed and is the very reason why my suggestion was "are expected to ship"

  • +5

Received shipping notification. Ordered 18/9 at 11.05pm gigabyte eagle card.

    • +1

      Where's my card :|

      • +1

If it was an eagle and you ordered before me I can't say why yours wouldn't have shipped yet.

  • +2

I've been refreshing this page like some crack addict ever since I ordered lol. Hope they can get to the 19/9 people this week.

    • lmao same dude!

  • +1

Also received a shipping notification. Ordered 19/9 at 8:40am.

    • Which video card?

      • Gigabyte Eagle, also got the 5600x upgrade

        • did you send emails to them asking for bios update for zen3 compatibility ?

  • +1

Just a little concerning when people who've ordered after you are getting shipped…

    • See what's said if they reply to an email, I would be feeling the same if they hadn't updated me yesterday seeing as later orders have already shipped.

      • Yeah I have.

At least I have my shiny new router (ps5) to distract me 😅

  • +1

So nice to hear that lots of eagles are being shipped today.

    • +1

At the eleventh hour, I finally received a response and my card has arrived.

      • What a relief!

      • Good for you. Order date?

        • 18/9 5:45PM. They said they "expect it to ship tomorrow" so….

  • Any further update on MSI Ventus orders from Sep?

    • Originally Luke posted saying that most Ventus orders would ship around the same time. However, I've seen a few people post here that they have received theirs already, yet I was told by email not to expect mine until the end of November, so who knows!!

    • I ordered on the 21st around 11.30pm and have received the pc yesterday.

      • Was this the MSI Ventus? My order was 22nd @ 2:00pm, so might be just behind you then hopefully!

        • yep ventus. Shipped last Wednesday for me.

            • @Rare: I think we'll be waiting til the end of November for our MSI orders tbh since Luke said any orders not shipped in the first week of November will be delayed. I'm just hoping it doesnt end up shipping december.

  • +3

    I ordered mine on 20/9
emailed TF yesterday, they told me no ETA as I don't have an allocated Eagle card yet.

    • Same here, just got a reply from them saying that I can expect my build on the back-half of November.

  • +3

My Eagle build just arrived to my door in Victoria.

Ordered: Fri, Sep 18, 2:51 PM
Shipment notice: Fri, Oct 30, 5:35 PM

    • +1

Nice. I haven't heard anything new about mine since we got that message on Tuesday :(

      • +1

Sorry to hear that :( I'm really rooting for you

        • +1

Just got message saying it's coming Monday or tuesday.

          • @Flamexio: Awesome! It's a great machine. You'll love it.

Ordered a Giga Gaming OC RTX 3080 card. Shipping notification just received. Ordered 20/09 5 p.m.

    • Lucky

  • +2

Ordered 18/9 eagle card but i have no allocated graphics card but my system is pre built said the rep. I ordered it unassembled. Wondering what's going on here.

    • +2

It must be a standard line to keep the people appeased. To show that "something is happening"

Luke just mentioned if you read above to me that still 1 to 2 weeks after November card arrival for build.

Contradictory with all the previous posts that they pre build while waiting and just slot in card.(which would be the logical thing to do)

    • +1

I had a somewhat similar response but they confirmed with me I wanted it unassembled.
Might be best to mention it.

What time did you order? Seems like these Gigabyte cards have really weird allocation.

  • +2

i cancelled my order, great value but if you have a few hours free a 3080 isn't too hard to come by. had an october card and still didn't have a solid eta.

    • +2

I checked your post history and saw you had the MSI Ventus. So thank you for that. Hopefully more of us can get it sooner lol

  • +1

With AMD card stock around the corner. And the fact you can pick up all other system parts now(or in recent sales during the time everyone has waited) with similar pricing and in stock (even the 3080 have been popping up in stock during the wait) and build yourself with higher quality/branded components.

I daresay cancellation is crossing the minds as well and I think we'll (myself and friends/colleagues) be staying away from any future pre builds such as this unless they are ready to ship within the week.

Not anything to do against Techfast but the flexibility within the long wait time is always better to have in your own hands. I know we could've had 99% of parts already purchased (branded parts and possibly even a 3080 by now)

    • +2

I was tempted to cancel. Waiting to see if I get a shipping notification today.

If your card has no ETA is it worth cancelling?
I would have though Zen2 chips would lower in price… But they haven't yet.
I guess the benefit is if you're getting it shipped assemble and you don't know much about building yourself.

But still 2 months of money sitting in limbo while prices fluctuate and new things come out is a bit to consider.

  • +2

Ordered: Fri, Sep 18, 1:45 PM
Shipment notice: Fri, Oct 30, 5:35 PM

Got confirmation it's going to be delivered on Monday 16th or Tuesday (I think it's going to be Monday considering how close I am to the depot) to Sydney Outer Metro area.

    • +2

      Shipping notice received.

      Finally!

      • +1

It came this morning haha at 7:30am. Blessed Saturday delivery.

        • Mines already been processed in Melbourne.

          That's quick.

        • Enjoying your build?

          • @NervosaX: Way better than what I had (980). Easily handling whatever I throw at it. Playing VR at not the minimum spec is probably my favourite improvement haha. Enjoying yours?

            • @Flamexio: I upgraded from a 780Ti. Smashes Control and Metro Exodus on 1440p at max. Such a great GPU!

Glad I upgraded the SSD to 1 TB though, 4 games is enough to fill up half on a 500 gb one these days…

              • +1

@NervosaX: Yeah haha, I bought a 1TB NVMe SSD before I bought this system and it was a great decision. Doing university exams right now for the next week and a bit :( I just wanna smash some games out…

    • +1

      Order: Fri 19/09 @ 3:40PM
      Shipping notice: Thur 12/11 @ 2:04PM

Latest update is same as yours, delivery Monday or Tuesday to southwest Sydney metro (currently in transit to Smeaton Grange)

      • +1

Ok is Aus Post actually cooked? How did your order get over here so fast but mine took 2 weeks? (profanity) me.

        • are you in sydney as well? i got shipping notice 2 days ago and auspost tracking is showing the same thing (delivery next monday or tuesday). kinda surprising, was expecting it to take at least 1-2 weeks…

        • Mines shipped today.
          Expected arrived Monday - Thursday.
          Think Monday is way optimistic.

        • I'm thinking AusPost is very much cooked! I'm also thinking alot went out that day hence the Pallet. I've experienced this before as a sender with pallet consignments causing confusion at the depots due to differences in the sender's manifest to the individual parcel consignments.. and other stuff.. so many hiccups along this journey to a 3080 huh!

  • Ordered msi card 22nd of sept and just got a shipping notification :)

    • +1

Ordered MSI card on 23rd (at 1am, lol) and got shipping notification as well.

Shout out to Luke, you've been doing a great job mate!
