GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Party like it's 1995! Kicking off RTX 3080 season with high spec systems through our partnership with Gigabyte, starting at $1998 with the Ryzen 5 3600.

Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X | Gigabyte RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PCs: $1998 and $2188 after GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Here's how allocation works:

  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Eagle OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Gaming OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • More stock is arriving in October for both. Once the "September" cards in the Graphics Card section are marked as sold out on the website, you can purchase the October variants, and your system will ship as soon as they come in.

It is strictly first come, best dressed, no holdsies.

Godspeed.

                    • @Flamexio: It says "Received and ready for processing" so i assume it was scanned? But honestly not sure

    • Did you get two separate tracking numbers for both packages or are they both under the same one? I only saw one in the shipping email?

    • Would you be kind enough to share any pics please 😃😃

  • +3

Got a shipping notice today ordered a ventus 18/9 incase anyone is wondering.

    • oh wow i ordered before you and you got the shipping first! luckyyy

  • Does anyone know that once you get your tracking number that its actually shipped? Status has been at pending for over a week now, seems very unusual that "express postage" would be this slow from Auspost.

    • Not unusual if you read the AusPost website, they have removed express post guarantees of delivery time since COVID hit.

    • +1

For what it's worth I emailed TechFast on Wednesday and they said that shipment our computers are on were sent on the Friday afternoon. So it has been sent just aus post is being slow/not telling us where it is.

Kind of sad that someone in sydney got theirs in 3 days……

  • Can anyone shed some lights on 3700x vs 5600x? I had 3700x upgrade in my build, just wondering if switching to 5600x is more ideal. From what i can gather the price is pretty similar between the two and 5600x is better at single core and general gaming performance, but 3700x comes with a better stock cooler. is that correct? I am mostly gonna use the PC for 2k gaming and some general work stuff not much video editing.

    • The 3700x comes with the wraith prism which is the better stock cooler compared with the 5600x wraith stealth. 5600x would perform slightly better in gaming, whilst multi core performance is similar. If you prefer a newer cpu, the 5600x would be the option as it is a bit faster in gaming, but the 3700x would still be a great option if you don’t want to pay extra to upgrade to a 5600x.

      • thanks for the info, i sent techfast an email regarding the upgrade from 3700x to 5600x, waiting to hear back from them on the price difference and then I will make decision. Just out of curiosity, which CPU did you go with for your system

        • I stuck with the Ryzen 5 3600 as the price-performance ratio is slightly better than the 5600x as the upgrade cost is $229 from the 3600.

  • When trying to redeem my AC:Valhalla code sent from Techfast:

These promotions require you to have the appropriate qualifying AMD CPU or GPU installed before you attempt to validate your coupon code.

    Such a massive disappointment

    • +1

I managed at the 11th hour 'whinge' to AMD that I bought their bloody CPU and showed them the invoice and the code. After a couple of email exchanges they gave me another code which didn't rely on installed hardware. Just got the redemption before the promotion expired.

    • +1

You need to open a ticket through AMD Rewards Support. You need to explain that you have ordered a PC Build with the appropriate Ryzen CPU. Need to let them know that the PC won’t arrive until some time.

      • I did all that, attached invoice and dates and email trails but what I quoted was the support response in the end. Unlucky I guess. They ended it with "see our terms and conditions"

        • That's when I "whinged" in a response email.

:( another week goes by for October cards

    • +2

I've ordered an October Ventus and I got an email reply yesterday saying it wasn't expected until the end of November. Given the way things have gone I'm not even hopeful of that. I'm going crazy because I've gotten rid of my old gaming system already so I've got nothing to play.

      • +3

mine is a eagle. Corona really has (profanity) up shipping in 2020

      • +1

End of November is crazy. :o

        • +3

Yeah it is crazy but I do agree with what techfast say about no point leaving this queue to join the back of another queue. The supply issues aren't isolated to techfast so it's not like you can just go grab a 3080 somewhere else. Still the waiting is doing my head in 😭

  • +4

The question is whether the October cards that were ordered on the 18/09 will be fulfilled…

  • anyone tried refund with Techfast? did they give you full refund

  • For everyone that ordered an MSI card. It got blown up because MSI overclocked too hard. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/jpolp2/msi_hq…

  • +1

Still waiting for the tracking information to update for my eagle build… I really wish AusPost wasn't used to deliver these packages. Any other courier would have delivered it by now.

    • What was your order date/time and date of shipping notice?

      • +1

Ordered: Fri, Sep 18, 2:51 PM
Shipment notice: Fri, Oct 30, 5:35 PM (10 days ago)

    • +3

Coogle and I are in the same boat. I know they are under the pump but this is straight up awful service.

      • +2

I feel like the Meme with the old guy looking at his laptop with his mug every time I refresh the Auspost tracking and it just says "pending" I think there at least 3 of us in this situation?

        • +3

Yep, I'm right here with you, if that makes you feel better.

          • +3

@NervosaX: If it gets to Wednesday and we still have nothing I'm messaging auspost again for sure.

  • +1

geesus all these comments about their pcs not being posted yet….how many sales were there for this particular unit? Surely one would stock up on the hardware before selling them…..

    • +1

It's nvidia's fault 🤷‍♂️ every retailer selling 3000 series cards are also delayed in stocks

      • must be alot of pc gamers lately…..or console turned pc gamers…..

        • +1

That could be a factor. Its mainly because nvidia didnt prepare enough stocks before the launch

          • @zjz93: how much do they usuall have on sale? was it more or less?

            • @Zachary: I don't understand your question

              • @zjz93: Nack when they first released the cards for their previous generations, how much of them did they provide then? Was it more or less than it was when they released the RTX 3000 series?

                • @Zachary: Probably more than the 3000 series because NVIDIA had to change chip supplier last second as TSMC pulled out because they weren't happy with nvidia's price. This led to NVIDIA having less time for production

  • Got a November card, so I probably won't get the PC till late Nov/early Dec. Any chance for me to get the RTX 3080/ Cold War redemption promo right now, or will I have to wait for the PC to arrive?

  • +1

    Anyone recieve any updates today?

    • I upgraded to a 5900x so I expect that's put me further down down the list

      • +1

I also upgrade but I assumed that GPUs would still be allocated at time initial order.

Still waiting to hear back from my confirmation email that I paid the invoice for upgrade and a time frame.

If we really did get pushed back for upgrading… That would really suck.

        • What did you upgrade from and to what?

          • +1

            @Lelouch216: From 3600 to 5600x.
Reply received, card still on the way.
            Ordered 18/9 around 5.45

        • I highly doubt they would push us back for getting the CPU upgrade I'd say our cards will sit and wait for the CPU if anything doubt they would love them on that would be quite unfair

    • +12

Big shipment of Gigabytes received today, most shipping will be tomorrow for those.

      • +2

        Awesome to hear.
Just as mentioned above, upgrading didn't change our position in the time date queue did it?

        • Nup, I emailed TF about the same matter and the sales team informed me that they have enough CPU's in stock for now

          • @Fahebo: Good to hear. Still waiting on my GPU though :(

"I'm happy to confirm that your system is both in prebuild and has an incoming graphics card allocated for it. "

            • +1

@NexERO: Yeah it seems like most of them should be coming in this week for real this time. Nevertheless, hope it's sooner rather than later for all my October homies

      • +7

Will this complete all October orders and you can start building November ?

      • +2

Hoping we can see a flurry of people from October confirm shipment…

      • +1

        Fingers crossed

  • FYI, for those upgrading to the new 5000 series processors, they already have the 5600x in stock and the 5800x are in transit. Not sure about the 5900x and 5950x I'm afraid.

  • +4

Mine arrived, the build quality is great. Thank you Luke and team TechFast!

    • +1

Congrats, hope you enjoy. :) Excited for mine.

    • What ended up happening with the auspost tracking?

      • @nezero PC arrived first in package 1 of 2. I wrongly assumed package 1 of 2 were the PC ancillary contents, not the PC itself, so strangely enough the PC arrived first!

I haven't got the contents yet that are in package 2 of 2. I have raised it with AusPost to give me info on where it is… The contents package probably contains the X570 Wifi motherboard antenna, which I couldn't find inside the PC case. I currently have to run an ethernet cable to the PC, but that's interim so not a biggie. Let me know if you need more info.

        • Was Auspost tracking showing new scans every time as it moved? Or did you not have any idea it was arriving today?

          • +1

@Flamexio: It did not show scans every time. It basically said it was processed in Adelaide and only gave me an update when it was on-board for delivery. It did not say it was processed at my city's AusPost depot before being on-board for delivery.

        • Oh yeah what's the X570 board? I also opted for that

    • +1

Congrats mate, hope ours are as good as yours! Enjoy!

    • Mind sharing some pics on this thread, that would be awesome!!

  • +2

    Alright… Anyone receive shipping notifications?

    • +1

Just received one then. Now the wait for Auspost.

      • Order date&time / OC or Eagle?

        • Ordered 18/9 around 2 pm WST and was the Eagle.

Have now received the "It's being prepared" email from Auspost

          • +1

@skeggman: So 4pm AEST (no DST at the time)
            Slowly getting there..
Must be a lot of orders or these shipment of cards must be quite minimal

            • @NexERO: Hoping mine is in there! Actually ordered 03:40pm AEST..(18th)

    • +1

Just got an "It’s being prepared" email. Only took a week from pending to not even sent yet…. (Eagle)

      • +2

Ayyyy our pallet finally got disbanded. I got one too. It has been sent btw, just it was pallet wrapped and sent in a mass (hopefully it's already in Sydney?). I sent an inquiry this morning to AusPost expecting that we wouldn't see anything change this arvo.

        • I live in Victoria, so I sure hope it's not in Sydney. :)

          • @NervosaX: Oh (profanity) maybe it is in Adelaide still then… I assumed you were in Sydney because Coogle and I are in NSW as well.

            • +1

              @Flamexio: Sorry!

            • +2

@Flamexio: I Suspect Tf had the cosignment numbers and marked them as fulfilled early. Would have been nice of they had cleared that up saving us countless auspost refreshes

              • @Coogle: Just got the update:

                Expected Thursday 12 Nov 2020 – Friday 13 Nov 2020*

Just before the weekend? My body is ready

                • @NervosaX: Ah nice! I don't have an estimated delivery time yet in the app…

                  • @Flamexio: Update: Checked the tracking info and it's in my state (in fact, it's only a few suburbs away).

Edit: 1 of 2 is a few suburbs away, the second package is 'processed in melbourne'.

    • +3

Got excited that I mine shipped but it was just a reply to another email 😅

  • anyone received shipping notifications for the msi ventus ones?

  • +2

Did they give anyone from the October orders any free upgrades?

    • I got an RGB mouse pad but my order is yet to ship lol.

    • +1

    • I wish..

    • +1

      Yes

      • +1

  • +1
