GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Party like it's 1995! Kicking off RTX 3080 season with high spec systems through our partnership with Gigabyte, starting at $1998 with the Ryzen 5 3600.

Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X | Gigabyte RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PCs: $1998 and $2188 after GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Here's how allocation works:

  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Eagle OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Gaming OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • More stock is arriving in October for both. Once the "September" cards in the Graphics Card section are marked as sold out on the website, you can purchase the October variants, and your system will ship as soon as they come in.

It is strictly first come, best dressed, no holdsies.

Godspeed.

Anyone else do what I did and upgrade to a 5900x ?

    • +2

      Yeah I did. Somehow went from a 3600 to a 5900x…

      • good call, i would have done the same thing. but really didn't want to wait any longer…settled for 5600x instead =x

        • They may still have some in stock, if yours hasn't been built already? I only upgraded this morning and they apparently still had stock then.

          • @n00btastic: Never mind, just saw your previous posts…

          • @n00btastic: They said they had stock? That's good then I upgraded last Sunday I believe and my gpu should be in stock seeing as others have posted that ordered after me saying there been shipped ! Fingers crossed early next week 😁

    • +5

You know your system is ready for collection, don't you Liam? We've emailed a couple of times.

      • +4

        Hahah this is rather funny.

  • +7

I dont think its good customer service that we have to scroll through a third party website to get an update. I ordered my system from techfast they should email me if there are delays. Only emails I get seem very generic and only reply to my email. I hope they read this and improve communication with customers.

  • +1

They called these cards October cards. Maybe October maybe early November cards would of been a better description. We are now well into November. I was expecting my system delivered in October. Not this.

    • +1

Agreed. Bait advertising to get the initial orders with no guarantee on cards in either month ever known by Techfast. (but have happily taken everyone's money)

Maybe I'll start up a deal for PS5 deliveries in November/ December and watch the orders fly in while I end up sending the stock in January/Feb 21.

Oh don't forget the "restocking" fee I'll charge while I hold all your money

I say just let anyone cancel who wants to and let us move on with our Techfast free lives.

      • They already offered full refunds with no restocking fee due to delays

        • Only certain October orders. Not for November orders which will be inevitably delayed due to the fact October is being fulfilled in mid November ..

Not your fault as once again unclear communication from Techfast. When Luke initially mentioned orders could be cancelled it was made to sound like all of them. But recently he advised only "fee free cancellation"(sounds silly just saying it) for late October orders.

          • +4

@cheapaschips: We're not here to keep anyone's money and not deliver anything. After 3 years selling PCs here, I reckon we've earned that reputation. The delays are not of our doing, and we've acted precisely in accordance with advice from manufacturersand suppliers. If you want to cancel your order, from any date, please email [email protected] referencing this note.

            • @luketechfast: Thank you for the reply but you still are not being transparent when all October or November orders will be fulfilled so people can make informed decisions about cancelling.

Also appreciate the offer to cancel but that only fixes the issue for one affected customer(the one asking you the tough questions )

Will you allow anyone wishing to cancel do so without any additional fee.

              • +2

@cheapaschips: I think we have been transparent in that there is no fixed date. It's as soon as possible after the cards arrive. We've said this the whole way through. I've said in my posting and in email correspondence to customers that if there's not currently an incoming card for their system, we're expecting the second half of November for both October and November cards, and that we're constantly pushing suppliers every day, and if you want to cancel, you can do so. I understand people want specifics, but there are no specifics. I understand we send out relatively generic information. The information we get from both manufacturers and suppliers is generic, and often turns out to be incorrect because manufacturing happens overseas and no one here has any control, and things change, cards get reallocated or taken out of distribution in favour of another entire country. We've stopped saying we expect them this week even if a distributor tells us they're coming, because it's turned out not to happen numerous times. Until we get physical tracking on cards that updates, we don't say anything. I understand people want their PC, but if we give out information that I haven't been given just to get people off our case, it's lying, and it causes more problems. We've only ever passed on info we've been given.

As for cancellations, October cards are delayed, November cards are not delayed, and we're hopeful supply will improve so that they won't be delayed. I don't personally think customers should cancel due to the broader stock situation, and of course we want to keep the order because we've committed tens of thousands of dollars in stock for these orders, but if they want to, as we've said they can.

If I muddied the waters about November order cancellations, I apologise. The no restocking fee applies to any 3080 order.

                • @luketechfast: Thanks for the update. So to confirm at this stage you expect 100% of October and November orders to be fulfilled by end of November with 3080 stock?

                  • @cheapaschips: Cards arriving and systems dispatching are two different things. If cards arrive November 30, that can't happen. It does feel like you're trying to corner me into s definitive statement I just can't make. I sell PCs mate, I'm not a politician.

                    • +1

@luketechfast: Definitely not my intention. To clarify, I said fulfilled not dispatched..I understand your constraints and time required to build and test. Apologies for any confusion.

My query was simply the 3080 order requirement for all October and November will be fulfilled by end of November

                      With build and dispatch thereafter.

If that is the case I can assure you the majority reading this will breathe a sigh of relief.

              • +2

@cheapaschips: Techfast isn't a 'greedy' company no matter how hard you try to flame them… retailers like shopping express sells single gigabyte 3080s at 1800 (pre-order price too), there's also mwave's founder edition lottery, PLE's overselling… If you really dislike techfast, just cancel your order and buy from some where else, SE has eagle in stock for 1750.

There are plenty of people who waited almost 2 months for their pcs, and i think techfast is already doing pretty well given the situations. i don't think you are being fair to them=\

                • @Flow220: I agree! I've been super frustrated with the whole process, but I really can't be mad at TechFast. They have been as transparent as they can be, and although I initially was a little annoyed at them, I've definitely come to realise that they have done their best in a shitty situation. Absolutely nothing to do with the delay is their fault, yet they have said people can cancel with no penalty if they wish. That's pretty good customer service if you ask me. I'm still waiting on an October 3080 and I'm going to keep waiting. You could cancel and buy one somewhere else, but then you are likely paying $1800 for just the card, when you could get the whole system for only a couple hundred more here. Sometime bargain hunting means being patient unfortunately! Fingers crossed for a late November arrival of my system.

                • @Flow220: I am not flaming anyone here. Infact I already have a Techfast PC with a 3080 that I am content with and I'm following up orders for my friends colleagues who I referred to buying from Techfast due to my previous positive experience.

What I am doing is holding a retailer accountable for when I feel the customer is not being shared the full story or the options available when problems arise aren't sufficient and in best interest of the customer.

I have no Ill will against any retailers.I simply respond to situations as I see them. I work in a similar industry so I know what I would accept from my business in these situations.

For anyone that curious my ryzen 9 5900x giga Eagle build ordered on the 18th at around 4.30 is ready to pick up and I'll be getting the beauty on Monday !

Huge shout out to tech fast on doing good work ! Despite the wait that isn't their fault it's the suppliers, that's been the only issue ! Always helpful when asking questions, working on weekends reply to emails to ensure we get the quickest updates possible and offering great deals ! Can't fault them on not having specific dates and ETA times when they themselves wouldn't even have them !

    Cheers guys cya Monday ✌️

Are you saying they don't get advanced shipping notice from deliveries from China? (Which takes 2-4 weeks depending on origin including clearance and delivery) .

Surely you don't think stock just turns up magically at there door and they just pay the invoice ….

Logically they should be able to give a forecast at least 2-4 weeks in advance if not more (as supplier would confirm shipment stock and purchase order acceptance prior to sending)

      • +1

Normally, yes. 3080s, absolutely not. It is all over the place.

        • Opens 40ft container, finds 3 x 3080s sitting by their lonesome. I can imagine big discrepancies on numbers expected in shipments compared to what arrives into the store

    • Yew!

I ordered 1 wk ago. Upgraded the guts out of it. I personally couldn't give a toss how long it takes. As long as it arrives. I've been following this thread since it's inception and decided to order from Techfast purely based on Luke's honest and timely responses.
No company is perfect and from my experience the PC custom building game tends to drive most batshit crazy.
    Just my 2 JayZ's worth.
    Be nice.
    I love yaz all !
    ♥️

    • I ordered 1 wk ago.

      Deal expired 2 weeks ago?

      • They probably meant the 5600x?

      • On the website, you can still buy MSI Ventus November

        • Sure, but without the voucher the base price is $2699 instead of $1995.

  • Package 1 of 2 arrived today at my place in Perth, it was the PC, which is great. However, I ordered a wifi dongle and that wasn't with the PC. I am hoping it is in the second package, which Auspost still lists as being in Adelaide.

Can anyone else confirm if this was their experience?

    • Same for me, but waiting for package 2 of 2 also. To clarify, I got the wifi motherboard X570 but the antennae did not come in the first package (the PC).

      • Cheers for the response. Good to know that it wasn't just my order. I'm heading down south for a week later today, so I guess I can wait another week to get the beast up and running.

        • No problem, have fun Douth :)

        • Update: Got the 2nd package delivered today. Will have a look at the box contents when I get home to see whether it has the antennae.

        • Update 2: Ok all the things necessary for Wifi and M2 hard drive are inside :)

    • If this was for the USB wireless adaptor I didn't get mine too as they are out of stock of those at the moment I just went to the store and got another one - you can get it refunded if you don't want to wait by contacting support

This is the week, 19/09 08:30am order, I can feel it!

    • 10am. Really looking forward to this week!

    • Hopefully everyone’s orders can be fulfilled this week

I dont think it will be bro. We are getting lumped in with the rest of the cards arriving late November.

I was a 19th order and advised ill still not be included in the current delivery wave :(

      • +1

I got an email back too. Ordered at 10am and they said that it would be at back half of november

  • Hoping to see more orders from 19/20th of September onwards being shipped this week..

Spent the weekend playing around with the PC. Only experienced a few issues, only one that might be the computer's fault though.

Hopped in to Minecraft RTX, played around in the map a bit, hopped out and went into another world and the computer just shut off. Not sure why and it has only happened once.

Other than that works very well with anything thrown at it. Getting 125-150fps in Warzone, 60fps (capped, couldn't find a setting to uncap it) in Minecraft RTX. VR works like a dream now coming from a 980 which was struggling.

Also: the pre-installed windows on the SSD is Windows 10 Home, if you have another type of windows (e.g. Pro) already connected to your MS account you have to reinstall windows to get it to activate.

    • Did you receive parcels 1/2 and 2/2? And did tracking update the same for both? Good to know everythings going well!

      • I received both parcels at the same time. The tracking updated the same for both (leaving Adelaide, getting to Sydney, at local depot and out for delivery).

    • +1

Hey, I was having that same issue where it would suddenly restart or turn off randomly. Went through TechFast support and had me re-install graphic drivers from here and fixed all the issues, maybe give that a go?

      • That was the first thing I ever did on the PC. The shut down happened after I had installed the drivers. It's only happened once so I'm not stressing about it. I think it was probably a minecraft issue.

    • can i ask if you got the MB upgrade to B570? whats the brand of your MB?

      • I stayed with the Gigabyte B550 Gaming X ATX board.

    • Do you mind sharing pics with us??

      • Really doesn't look much different than the pics here

Except I have RGB ram and the stock AMD cooler.

        • How did you get RGB Ram? I upgraded mine from 16GB to 32GB DDR4 there was no option.

          • +1

@Fyerr: It's random what you get. I just happened to get RGB ram.

  • +1

Well my case has arrived so that's nice.

Waiting on the components which haven't updated since Saturday.

    Nearly there.

    • Case? I got the motherboard box with manuals. The PC was scanned faster at every point than the box but never ended up on the "On board for delivery". Praying it comes tomorrow and doesn't just sit at Smeaton Grange.

      • +1

Ordered it unassembled cause initially I wanted to use my old case although I've had to rethink that.

The case box is rather light so I assume the second package is the components.

The components last update was 1.30pm processed in Melbourne on Saturday.

    • 1 of 2 out for delivery today.
Will update once it here and answer my own question how unassembled is packaged.

  • No shipping notifications for anyone today?

    • +1

-15 Galax systems shipped today, the remainder are in testing.
      - Some Gigabyte systems with allocated GPUs that didn't ship last week shipped today, some others are still in testing.
      - If you've reached out to us via email you'll know whether your order has an inbound/arrived GPU allocated to it. If not, please contact us for an update.

      • For the gigabyte systems, would that also include those with upgraded processors?

  • No, still nothing.

  • For anyone that shipped unassembled, how did the parts arrive?

    • +2

      I assume via Post ;)

  • +2

I took 24 days off work to play cyberpunk 2077 on my new pc. Poor planning on my part.

  • For people who got theirs already, did yours come with the bag of screws that came with the case?

    • nope didnt get screws with mine. when i enquired about it they said it wasn't typically included either. if you get in touch with them and get a different response let me know.

      • Got a reply. They said that they're gonna send me some, and that there should've been some inside the mobo box (I didn't get any).

        • glad to hear they're sorting it out for you, bit annoyed that i got a different response but w/e hah. thanks for the update!

  • +6

Finally received the PC! So happy with it so far, drivers updated but no games installed yet.

  • +5

My pc has arrived today also! I feared greatly watching the Star Track courier throwing all the boxes around the back of his van like packets of popcorn. I had to point out the box had the word Fragile written on it for a reason.

PNY Ram. Kingston A2000 SSD. Giga Gaming OC RTX 3080.

    Thanks TechFast, really, amazing service.

    • Will you be kind enough to share pics??

  • Anyone redeem for the free game yet?

Asks for date of purchase but invoice says 18/09/2020, but system only allows 30/10 onwards

Oh, just realised I didn't get my RGB mousepad :(

    • Please PM me your order details and I'll get one sent if it was missed!

    • Which game are you referring to and what GPU did you get?

      • They are referring to the COD promotion.

        • Well the T&C's only count the first day of being valid for the promotion as being the day it is dispatched or received or something like that (pretty sure first day of dispatch). NexERO should be good as long as the dispatch day was after the 30th.

          • @Flamexio: It's pretty irritating that the invoice date is the order date. Invoices are usually generated when an order is released / invoiced. I got my check number but now I have to get Luke to alter my invoice date to reflect the date it was shipped, not when the order was placed as I'm certain they'll reject my claim.

            1. In order to make a valid redemption, the customer must fill out the request form and upload a clear picture of the purchase invoice with the invoice date that qualifies for this promotion campaign period. The pick-up date is not involved when to redeem the game code.

Also Techfast doesn't come under their list of authorised resellers (unless they're using a different business name?)

            1. International shipping does not include in this promotion. The promotion is only valid via purchase through local eligible reseller: https://www.gigabyte.com/Buy#,,1-0,1-0,1-0

Not getting my hopes up for a code.

            • +1

@Nyclix: I just got my check number from Gigabyte eSupport but the form is saying my selection of graphics card model is wrong haha. Any luck? There's definitely a condition in the T&Cs which says first day of dispatch is the "purchase date". But the authorised reseller might be the nail in the coffin. We'll see…

              • @Flamexio: Nah I just emailed them and it definitely says invoice date must be between those certain dates. Unless Luke is going to change the invoice date to dispatch date ( as it should be ) we aren't getting the game.

                • @Nyclix: Yeah the store isn't listed.
Has anyone confirmed they got watch dogs legion from the previous promo?

                • @Nyclix: I've put the application in anyway. If they want more proof I'll send them the official email confirmation of it being sent on the 30th of october. If that doesn't work I'll get on to TF

              • @Flamexio: Based on the description of this deal I would assume TechFast is an authorised reseller.

Kicking off RTX 3080 season with high spec systems through our partnership with Gigabyte

    • After pleading with them, AMD support just extended my AC:Valhalla code expiry for next 3 days with a note "PLEASE NOTE WHILE SUPPLIES LAST"

      • -1

Just your code or all codes?
edit: Tested it, just your code then.

        • +1

Case by case. They denied me at first but I kept asking like some other commenters and it worked

    • Did they give you the CoD code? I only got an expired AC code with mine
