Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X | Gigabyte RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PCs: $1998 and $2188 after GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Here's how allocation works:

  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Eagle OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Gaming OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • More stock is arriving in October for both. Once the "September" cards in the Graphics Card section are marked as sold out on the website, you can purchase the October variants, and your system will ship as soon as they come in.

It is strictly first come, best dressed, no holdsies.

      • this ^^^^^^^!!

      • I got my PC a few weeks ago. You'll need to contact Gigabyte esupport by creating an account and then asking them to assist. I provided my invoice together with a photo of my graphics card Serial number. Gigabyte should then send you a check number and link to redeem the game.

Anyone else still waiting on refund confirmation (numerous reasons for requesting the refund personal and the delays). I sent the email requesting refund almost 3 weeks ago. Understand they would be flat out but seems like quite an excessive time

    • +1

The majority are being processed this week - busy period + the whole stupid COVID lockdown put Operations behind but speaking to them today they are processing.

      • Thanks for the response completely forgot about the mini lcokdown.

  • +2

I know it's Ozbargain and all but at this point I'm very tempted to go with Aftershock and their customised setup that I could get for around 150 more, with better ram and a better branded SSD off that bat. They apparently have the Zotac 3080s in stock. But the above comment on 3 weeks to receive a refund is extremely worrying.

30/09/2020 Order - MSI Ventus Order Delivered today!!! The packaging was really good, system started without hitch. I am one happy customer :D

    • Jelly!

      • +1

Hang in there, if you didn't see my message on page 16 we're expecting the two large MSI shipments tomorrow and Friday/Monday

    • +2

Wow, my 29/09/2020 Ventus order doesn't even have a shipping notification.

Glad you got your one but

      How does that work?

  • Hi luke just a question, theres a deal on the MSi website if you buy the rtx 3080 you get a redeem code for watch dogs legion, is there by any chance a way people who have ordered this card receive the game too? Because as it seems the code comes with the purchase and we won't be receiving one (we as in MSI ventus customers) since we ordered a prebuilt PC.

    • +1

We're not a participating vendor so you would need to enquire through them sorry.

  • +3

Well, seeing if Techfast can amend the Invoice Date.

Gigabyte offer 1 extra year warranty if your register it but has to be within 30 days of purchase :|

    • we can

      • Thanks Luke,

        Email has been sent :)

  • +3

As we approach the end of November, has anyone had their PC shipped? Please let us know which card and what date you ordered.

  • +4

Eagle order here 20/09….there goes another week!
    Maybe next week? ahah

    • +1

If not next week… maybe the week after that? and the week after that? and the week after that? haha

    • +1

Honestly have to remind myself that I've even bought this thing. It's been THAT long. LOL.

    • +1

They said they were getting big shipments in this week, so I guess with some build time and testing time hopefully a lot of orders will go out next week.

      • +2

They specifically said big shipments of the MSI Ventus right? Good for you and I. Maybe not so good for eagle owners lol

        • I thought they mentioned Gigabyte orders too, but I might be wrong. But yeah, they definitely mentioned Ventus which is hopefully good news for us, but I'm not going to get to excited until I get the shipping notification.

    • +3

December is the new October guys.

    • +2

hopefully we get it before x'mas

    • +2

Don't worry. We're all bound to get another generic message about "big shipments".

As a Ventus customer, I'll probably hold my breath until Monday as it was mentioned but will cancel on Tuesday if I haven't had a shipping notification.

All this waiting made me realise that I probably don't need to game that much after all.

    • +1

      Same sigh

  • +4

Eagle order here. 9am on 19th sept. Nothing yet not even shipping

  • Hey so item 1 of 2 is still processing.

Item 2 of 2 is in transit (estimated delivery Tuesday-Friday next week)

Does anyone know which one is the actual pc and which is the boxes? Can anyone speak from experience?

    Cheers.

    • It can be either, from experience.

      • So which one was yours, from experience.

  • +1

Hopefully all the rtx 3080 cards arrive the latest on 11/30/2020 to TechFast. Don’t want it to be pushed into December, but most likely seems to be that way.

    • +2

Some today, tracking showing more Monday. Hang in there guys.

      • 🤞

      • Hey Luke - what does 'some' mean? Is there going to be enough to fill all the "October" orders, or just part of them?

  • +1

Does anyone know how I can redeem COD Cold War without my RTX 3080 PC???
I have the Invoice from Techfast but that's about it.

    • You'll need the pc because they need a pic of the serial number when claiming. Don't think there's a workaround.

      • -1

Hey Luke and team please find a method for this, I know you guys are doing a lot but most of us are really excited for this and would be devastated if it’s not possible.

I hope the cards come around soon and we are all able to enjoy the perks.

Please keep us updated and if numerical updates are available, that would be HIGHLY appreciated.

        • +1

I mean if they don't have the cards they can't give you a picture of the S/N :|

  • +6

    ;( another week goes by

Luke, any updates on October eagles?

  • +1

Hi TechFast, if we choose to ship unassembled now, would windows be installed on the ssd?

    • You can download a win 10 install to a thumb drive for free. Install is easy. Both Paul and Jay have videos on this.
      https://youtu.be/MfwjISmkEJM

    • No, it wouldn't be.

  • +6

God I'm praying for some gigabyte eagle news today. I'm slowing dying from these delays

    • +2

I swear they're gonna be pushed behind cp2077 and I'll be very sad

  • +6

Another week, another "big shipment coming in day X and day Y".

    • Bad

    • +6

Today is the last day I'm waiting honestly. I understand the cause of this but what pisses me off is the lack of honest information and communication that's given.

Techfast may have the best prices when it comes to pre-built PCs but they have a long way to go when it comes to communication.

      • +5

You're not wrong… My patience atm is running thin. I haven't sent any "angry" emails to their support because I know its totally out of their hands but luckily we have this thread to vent.

Hoping we can get some CLEAR/TRANSPARENT info… Everything has been so wishy washy and we literally have to rely on random users posting they got their shipment notice to know proper progress is being made.

        • +2

I haven't sent any angry emails nor will I. Unless they take too long processing my refund if I do have to end up cancelling. I can put the 2.6 grand to better use during Christmas season rather than waiting for a PC that could very well show up in January.

          • +1

@PristinePoop: Still waiting on my refund that was requested on the 8th of November. Hoping this week!

            • @ryan1815: Seems like there is no point in refunding now. From your experience, it is taking nearly a month and you still haven’t received your money back yet.

            • +2

@ryan1815: Wow. That's just (profanity) ridiculous. 1 month for a refund? I know Luke mentioned that you'd have it last week and they had a tough week with the small lockdown.

Honestly tired of this shit. So they're discouraging cancels by taking over a month for a refund?

  • +3

Hoping that todays MSI Ventus shipment has enough cards to finally finish the october lot because I don't want to be waiting into January for my PC that was supposed to be ready in October…

    • +5

Try having ordered a Gigabyte Eagle, seems like we won't get ours until October next year at this rate.

  • +2

Just got a shipping notification for MSI Ventus ordered on 17th October

    • "Thanks for your email.

I can confirm that your RTX 3080 has arrived, your system has been built and is currently being tested to ensure that there are no issues with it.

If all goes well I expect your system to ship out within a couple of days, sooner rather than later.

I hope this update helps you out!"

Just got this email. Ventus Ordered 30th September.

    • I ordered it on the 6th October (well switched to it from an Nov Eagle) so I really hope this means it's going to ship this afternoon or tomorrow…. :o

      • An email confirmed it is shipping tomorrow most likely after overnight testing :D

    • +1

I ordered in the 6th and no shipping notification for me :(. Pretty annoying that you have had your system shipped when you ordered a week after me. If mine doesn't get shipped today or tomorrow I'll be VERY angry!

      • If I can get some order specifics I'd be happy to look into it for you both. I can't link any OzB usernames with orders

        • Thanks Luke, Order TF108542631 is mine.

I'm not really going to be genuinely angry, just more confused if an order after mine gets shipped a lot earlier. I'm assuming it might just be something to do with the locations of the order, I think you've said previously that you ship in big batches so maybe you do all the say "Sydney" orders together or something. Anyway, thanks for the frequent updates and communication.

  • +5

20 September Eagle here and still nothing. Seriously, wtf!

  • +1

I ordered an eagle system on the 18th of September, still no news on my system either. I ordered unassembled so its not like its built and being tested.

    • +1

That's definitely weird considering that some 19/9 Eagle orders have been shipped already.

      • Yep!

      • I agree, just went back a few pages and saw a post of a 19/9 order that was delivered weeks ago. Wonder why I went down the list?

        • Have you tried shooting them an email at [email protected]?

          • @CaspahG: Yes I did, just got a generic reply, no mention of me seeing orders placed after mine being delivered. I'm doing my best not to loose my shit but not much we do but wait.

    • Can I have your order number so I can look it up pls?

      • Sent, thanks.

      • I'll send an email. Txs Luke.

  • +3

Eagle order date 21/9 still no shipping either :(

  • I'm getting a bad feeling about my planned gaming xmas holidays. Like a few others I bought planning on delivery before the holiday season, looking forward to some alone time just me the Sim and some VR goodness.
I'm so hoping I don't have to expose my pale skin to the outdoors again this holidays.
I wanna hermit and game !
Good luck to you all and happy holidays.

  • +4

Please God, if you're listening, please deliver my PC before Cyberpunk comes out

    • +2

Not even God has the power to get Nvidia to pull their finger out of their ass when it comes to 3080s haha.

      • +1

And God has no control over the devils own aus post.

  • +4

Woo hoo we made page 18.

  • +3

    19th october eagle. Not shipped

    • Sorry typo 19th September

  • 8th october eagle. Not shipped either :(

  • +6

Looks like most 3080 cards will be arriving at TechFast this week and system shipped asap from this email.

    “Good afternoon,

Thanks for your email regarding your order.

We are expecting a shipment of Gigabyte 3080s to arrive this week which will fulfill the majority of orders waiting for these cards. As soon as these cards arrive they will be immediately installed into your system, tested to ensure that there are no issues with your system and then your system will be promptly dispatched to you.

I hope this helps you out and we appreciate your ongoing patience regarding this matter, thank you.”

Great job from theTechFast team for responding to my email same day and most of us understand that it is not TechFast but Nvidia’s fault in not meeting demand for the 3080 cards in the first place.

    • +6

Heard it all before. Won't believe it till I see heaps of people confirming their order has been shipped as that's the only meaningful metric we have.

      • +3

They said it about the Ventus orders with shipments arriving late last week and yesterday, and we are seeing people getting postage confirmation of those yesterday. So I'm hoping it works out for you guys with the gigabyte orders. I know it's been frustrating, I've been frustrated too, but it's not Tachfast's fault, they can only go off what their suppliers are telling them, they can help it if the suppliers shaft them with incomplete shipments. Imagine if you were on selling the system and had to go off the info techfast was giving you. I'm sure your customer would be angry at you for the info that ends up being incorrect, but you are just passing on the best info you have with the actual delivery being entirely out of your hands! Hang in there, I hope your system gets shipped this week.

        • +2

Totally understand and I am trying to remain neutral and patient… But we have heard the same old "shipments are coming in, hang tight" spiel for the past month. If you scroll back 2 pages ( I think) you have Luke saying that the Eagles are still scheduled for and I quote "still expected by the end of the month (November). I know there have been delays on NVIDIA's part outside of Techfast's control but the information we have been given has not been very accurate to say the least.

          • +4

@DavidBrentIPresume: I'm just saying it's not like TechFast is deliberately giving us false information, that would serve them no purpose because it only makes us more annoyed when the time comes and goes with no cards. They are just passing on the best info they have, which is coming from the suppliers and has turned out to be not so accurate unfortunately.

            • +2

@PediatricLemon: Let's be honest. They could have been more transparent with the quantities they did physically recieve ….rather than have everyone feel like it's a lotto and hope it was enough to fulfil there order.

And please don't be so naive. They would know it advance what quantities are being shipped at least days in advance, if not weeks.

I believe they felt the best way to handle the situation was not give the bad news upfront which would inevitably cause cancellations but keep orders trickling out and hope it was enough to keep the cancellations at a minimum(as remember, Techfast are a business out to make profit like any other. Every cancellation is reduced revenue and profit)

I won't say they have been horrible and the worst and blah blah blah but lets put some
              real perspective on this.

By the way I brought this up well in advance that customers needed better communication to assist Techfast before it got to this. They unfortunately didn't listen.. I do similar work to this(albeit at a more senior level) so it was purely advise on what best practise should be when dealing with customers.

              • +3

@cheapaschips: I appreciate and have taken on board all the advice and feedback we've received over this period, honestly. If I had sent out the information I posted earlier in this thread, which again was based on information I had at the time and it now turns out is about a week or so out accuracy wise anyway, more widely, everyone would be more confused. The only workable approach has been to provide info when requested, rather than actively sending it out. This is 100% down to not knowing for sure what it coming until we get it. I know you don't believe it, and I understand why, but it is the truth. There has never been a demand versus supply scenario such as this in my 10+ years in the industry.

The offer still stands as it always has to any affected customer that they can cancel their order if they're not happy to wait - we've been consistent on that and all refund requests have been processed. We're not here to hang onto anyone's money.

But we are on the home stretch - we have had confirmation of shipping, or for distributor allocation (which is the step before shipping for these cards in this supply environment) amongst various distributors, that enough cards are coming over the next week or so to fulfill all October and November orders.

                • +1

                  @luketechfast: How about September eagles?

                  • +1

@Epiuse: They were done ages ago, over a month ago. If anyone hasn't received theirs I need to know about it via PM please.

  • +7

Just received shipping notification for my 6th October Ventus order. Fingers crossed for the outstanding gigabyte orders, hope you guys don't have to wait too much longer.

  • +5

An absolute joke.. maybe they need to change their business name to techslow..
20/9 eagle order, emailed for an update and they responded that stock still hasn't arrived. End of November for eagle cards? Maybe he meant November 2021.

    • +2

Kinda regret buying it now. Oh well, already waited a few months here's to a few more.
