Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X | Gigabyte RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PCs: $1998 and $2188 after GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Here's how allocation works:

  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Eagle OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Gaming OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • More stock is arriving in October for both. Once the "September" cards in the Graphics Card section are marked as sold out on the website, you can purchase the October variants, and your system will ship as soon as they come in.

It is strictly first come, best dressed, no holdsies.

      • I feel like I'm saying this every day 😂 😭

    • +4

Echoing the other comments I've made this morning, hang in there. Eagles and Gaming orders shipping this week and next.

      • What about Ventus?

        • +1

We're understandably getting plenty of emails so we are acutely aware of people's desires to get their systems! The good news is that the cards that were scheduled for delivery in October have been and still are coming in, and systems have been going out, constantly - they're just coming in smaller batches than usual, which is in turn slowing the process down more than usual. (As some deeper background information, the manufacturing issue actually stems all the way back to NVIDIA, who have not been meeting their quotas for reference cards to provide to the brands like MSI, Gigabyte etc for them to make their own cards, which has snowballed through the supply chain. NVIDIA are acutely aware of this, leading to their CEO making public comment on it, and they also delayed their 3070 launch so they wouldn't face the same issues as they have with 3080s).

Many cards are arriving this week, having been dispatched from manufacturers and distributors in October. We're expecting a large dispatch of finished systems during this week and the remainder to be finished in the following week - as we said, systems will be finished as soon as possible after cards arrive. We still can't give exact dates for any one order because it depends how many GPUs arrive in any one batch, except to say that we are allocating cards to orders at a date and time level of order priority, and we are making good progress every day. I sincerely apologise that we can't give more information for a dispatch date at this current point in time, we are contacting and urging our suppliers daily for information regarding the shipments and we're sure they're also working as fast as they can.

As always we appreciate your patience and are working hard to get you your system in as quickly as possible given the circumstances.

I should note that currently it looks as if your build will be shipping today or tomorrow, I hope this information helps.

          Ordered 21/09 ventus 11.30PM

          • @Koiden: I'm stuffed then, I ordered my ventus on 6/10 so I'm guessing I've got a LOT more waiting to do :(

            • @PediatricLemon: The number of orders is likely to have peaked early and tapered off over time.

            • @PediatricLemon: Gigabyte orders are highly concentrated around the day of the deal. Ventus is more spread out and lower quantities, so your wait won't be any longer than other Ventus orders.

              • @luketechfast: Thanks for replying Luke, I'm glad to hear that, makes me a little more optimistic! Fingers crossed I hear some good news this week then given the guy above ordered a Ventus and it's shipping today or tomorrow 🤞

              • @luketechfast: Given that some people have already received their ventus orders, yet I've now been told that I won't receive mine until maybe the end of November, I feel that this statement isn't exactly accurate. I would have been better off saving the $100 and getting a November gigabyte which are looking likely to ship before my October ventus. The only reason I spent the extra was to get the system earlier, now I just feel like I've been ripped off.

      • +1

@luketechfast: Hey Luke, I received a shipping confirmation and tracking number on Friday afternoon but Aus Post says it's not with them after 72 hours?

      • Will you see same issue for November gigabyte orders as we in November? Or will you have caught up in next week and can start shipping November?

  • Have people that purchased the October Gigabyte Gaming OC received their systems yet?

    • +3

Shipments of these happening this week and next, along with Eagle orders. Hang in there guys.

    • +1

i also ordered the oct gaming oc system. they did tell me that my system is 'already built' though, just awaiting the graphic cards to arrive. i would assume it's the same for most people, once the cards are in, they should ship out really soon.

      • Prebuilding all October card orders is in full swing.

    • I received mine on the 27th of Oct

  • +1

Not sure you'll see this message in another comment chain in here so I'll post it again:

Hey Luke, I received a shipping confirmation and tracking number on Friday afternoon but Aus Post says it's not with them after 72 hours?

Edit: got a response from TF saying the PC was shipped wrapped with others and is likely awaiting break down of the pallet it was in and individual scanning.

    • +2

Yep that's my understanding. We know SA AP are under the pump so it's not super surprising. We have also heard of systems's scanning not having any updates until scanning at an interstate depot, or even delivery.

  • +2

Just gotta get my November build to me by the 10th of December Luke ;) Thats all I ask

    • Here’s hoping 🤞🏽

    • This. I want my free copy of cod cold war :)

Looks like Samsung has officially recognised support for 4k @120 fps using RTX 3080 cards on q80t and q90t TVs: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00087803/

    • Much better than the Sony X9000H, we have one and 4k120 is blurry on the RTX3080. Seeing if Sony will fix it, otherwise going to get ACCC involved as it's the only reason we bought the TV.

  • Getting a bit beyond a joke now. I guess you can't really get a card anywhere though.

I've decided to adopt a Zen lifestyle 😅

      • Kinda stopped sitting on the edge of my seat now I'll be honest… 🤣

        • Decided to see the Zen3 pricing 😅

  • Any word on pricing to upgrade to the zen 3 processors yet?

    • +3

      Tomorrow!

      • +2

        Good work Luke !

Any idea when gigabyte eagle November orders will start shipping. Shortly after October are completed or will there be a gap?

      • Thanks Luke!

        • Any updates on pricing?

  • +3

Have any of you October Eagle's gotten a shipping notification this week? I have only seen like 2 comments this week on here..

    • nope still havent heard anything, havent seen many gigabyte comments for people receiving their orders

    • Nope - ordered on the 20th of Sept.

      • Same here ordered on 19th Sep 8am

    • Nope, ordered 20th.

    • 20th. Nothing yet

      • 18th 9pm. Nothing.

    • Latest info for all in my comment below guys.

  • +1

Feels bad for paying the extra 100 to upgrade to an October system.

At which point are we allowed to be pissed? I keep seeing posts from Luke that the systems are shipping but hardly seeing anything here and the first business week of November is nearly over.

    • yeah i find it strange that no one here has had theirs shipped when all the communication is alot have been shipped and are being shipped this week

      • +1

Mine has shipped, you'll find people just get their dispatch notification and stop posting here.

        • good point, fingers crossed i get the dispatch email soon, what was your card by the way?

    • I ended up seeing what the pricing on Zen3 is going to be.
What's an extra few days now ah ha

    • +3

I'm in the same boat and feeling just as frustrated!! I know that the supply issues are totally out of Techfasts hands, but I wish we got a little more detail about the numbers coming in rather than just getting told "this week or next" every week. It would be nice if they said "we have x% of this card out and are receiving around x per week", or something with a little more substance like that to give us a more realistic picture of the supply situation. At the end of the day though we are still getting an awesome deal and I am happy with that.

    • I would say you can't be pissed until the end of next week. My logic is as follows:

The cards were scheduled to arrive in October. That's what we agreed to. So that means we still technically have to allow for 14 days following the end of October (i.e the end of the next week) as 14 days is their estimated building time.

Keep in mind that not everyone who got a shipping notification is going to post about it here.

      • That is a very balanced view and is correct, and we sincerely hope others can follow the same line of thinking. Nevertheless, I have posted the most up to date information here

      • Fair enough. Rightly put.

  • Got a fulfilled email last Friday and tracking number. Delivery status still pending as of right now. Ordered on the 18th of Sep 1.30pm starting to get rather annoyed as to how it takes a week at Auspost to scan the consignment…

    • Might just be like luke said and that they didn't scan it just yet. Got shipment details yesterday and logged as received by auspost.

      • When did you order?

        • -3

          Reading not your strong suit?

          • +3

@Coogle: Was asking @Koiden but ok mate

            • +1

@CaspahG: I think he is on edge because his PC is stuck with Auspost.

        • 11.30PM 21/09 for MSI ventus

    • +1

Oh your shipment must be with mine. Ordered same time, got the sent notification at the same time too. I rang up Aus Post yesterday (Wednesday) and they pretty much said "Don't know where it is lmao. Are you sure the sender sent it?".

I'm a little bit mad considering the TF invoice says "Express Parcel". Really hoping it just turns up on my doorstep tomorrow.

      • +2
        • What kind of accountability is there with little to no scanning? Sounds like parcels can go to the nether realm and noone would know how. It worries me. I hope the boxes are generic and not clearly PCs, because I've dealt with a thief driver just last month.

          • @chuckallstarz: It is a worry for me also, I am trying to be in regular contact with AusPost on my order.

    • +4

18th Order and still nothing yet, another week gone by. Understand nothing much can be done by Techfast on the GPU delays, but I agree that they can communicate to buyers better regarding the delays. They mentioned October orders would be shipped "this or next week" about a month ago and are now saying the same thing again…

      • +1

Yeah that seems to be the main issue. Obviously not much can be done about the delays but the communication around them is the same each week for the last few weeks. I'm a 21st ( october gigabyte) order so its worrying how much longer i could be waiting considering the potential queue.

        • 9pm SEP 18th order and still nothing. Have fun lol

      • Yep getting beyond a joke now but it's not like we can just go and buy a 3080 elsewhere lol

      • Agreed - we have been passing on what we hear from suppliers, and the latest information is now at the bottom of this page.

  • +2

Just got an email regarding Zen 3 upgrade

Zen 3 upgrade pricing is as follows:

    R5 3600 to R5 5600X: $229
    R5 3600 to R7 5800X: $459
    R5 3600 to R9 5900X: $619

    R7 3700X to R7 5800X: $259
    R7 3700X to R9 5900X: $419

    R9 3900X to R9 5990X: $209

New Ryzen 7 and 9 processors do NOT have bundled coolers so will also need a minimum 120mm liquid cooler ($89) or 240mm liquid cooler ($139). The Matrexx 55 Mesh Case Upgrade ($49) [limited supply] also supports 360mm coolers ($199).

    • For gaming, especially at 1440p and higher, not worth it IMHO.

Hi all. Posting the information from today's deal here.

A big number of MSI Ventus, Gigabyte Eagle and Gigabyte Gaming orders will be shipping early next week, while we have received dispatch notification from Galax so they should also be next week. We've prebuilt orders to minimise the time between card arrival and dispatch.

While this will account for a very good chunk of orders, based on information from manufacturers and their suppliers, we are officially in delay territory for the remainder. Other Eagle and Ventus orders are most likely going to be shipping from halfway through November onwards. This is also the case for November card orders across all brands. This is 100% down to NVIDIA's reference card manufacturing delays and their knock on effects(tomshardware.com) which they have admitted to. We originally labelled our cards with months (e.g. September, October, November) based on advice from MSI/Giga/Galax and their suppliers when we placed our orders back in September, and we are pushing and pushing, but we and most other retailers are still waiting.

As a result, if you want to cancel your order, you may do so without any restocking fee, via email to [email protected].

This is obviously disappointing, but my honest recommendation would be to hang in there, if you can. If you want a 3080, you may very well be leaving a position in our queue to join the end of another. 3080 prices have also been jacked due to no supply, so you've locked the absolute lowest possible pricing. And your cards will be coming, and your system will be prebuilt to minimise delay.

If you want a status update to see if your order is close to dispatch, please email [email protected] and we'll reply as soon as we can.

If you're livid about the whole 3080 thing, please submit your thoughts to [email protected] (freely visible on reddit btw).

    • Email sent..

    • How are you prioritizing which ones get shipped out first? Is it earliest order date and time to latest date and time? Or is it by some other metric?

      • +1

        100% on time/date ordered.

    • Purely hypothetical question at this stage, but does that mean I could switch out of this deal into a future 6800xt deal whilst incurring no fees?…

      • No cancellation fees, absolutely, and any price difference would need to be charged or refunded. We have no visibility on 6000 series pricing as yet, but we can definitely hold the order over via request to [email protected]

        • Thanks very much Luke. I'm sure it's practically impossible to predict timing at this stage but I'll ask anyway! Do you have any approximation as to when the amd builds would be shipping? Would we be talking say closer to the start of December or closer to the end of December?

          • +1

@n00btastic: AMD GPUs I'm assuming? Really can't say as we have no info other than the public on-sale date. We're talking to all the manufacturers now. If your order was held for this specific reason though, being an existing order you'd get the first batch of cards available though. That's all I can say.

            • @luketechfast: Apologies Luke, yes I meant the new AMD GPUs. Thanks for the quick update, by the way, I really appreciate it. As my wife says I'm terrible with decision making and I have no idea what to do now…. One of the factors potentially swaying me to waiting for an all team red build is that I have the 34" gigabyte UltraWide freewync monitor which is apparently flickering quite badly for some users, so maybe this option might be the safer route?

              • +1

@n00btastic: Sure, take your time, have a think, let us know via email. I can't offer any advice on that monitor sorry!

                • @luketechfast: No worries Luke and thanks again! It's my first ever gaming PC so I don't really know what I'm doing to be honest!

                  • +1

@n00btastic: Probably don't overthink it is good advice!

                  • +1

@n00btastic: im in a similar boat to you have this currently on order but the 6800xt is tempting for the extra vram and I have a similar freesync monitor as yourself. have always had nvidia cards though and i believe nvidia cards will be better for ray tracing, but also want my card for longevity and not sure if the 10gb vram will be enough. hopefully havent added to the over thinking too much haha

                    • @ryan1815: But then the counter is that its the faster memory so I honestly don't know! Also there is no guarantee that an amd card with FreeSync will mean no flickering, is there? So in summary I might just flip a coin!

                      • @n00btastic: Also the fact that the AMD cards will probably run into some sort of stock shortage maybe not as bad as Nvidia but still. Think i have decided to stay with my current 3080 order.

                        • @ryan1815: Yeah I think I'll do the same and then bury my head in the sand when all the third party amd benchmarks come out!

    • -4

      Anyone replying to emails?

      • +1

Yep. We're getting a lot. Bear with us.

        • -4

Must be a lot of email. I replied back after the Zen 3 pricing at like 11am and haven't heard anything since :|

    • Thank you for the information.

    • +1

      Hi Luke,

Appreciate the update. You must have an idea of how many GPUs of each make you're looking to receive. If I placed my order for an eagle on 18/9 at 11.05pm am I likely to be in this list ? Kinda crappy that MSI orders going out that were placed days later.

  • +3

    Just recieved my MSI build!
I live in metro Sydney and shipping took 3 days, PC arrived in perfect condition
Haven't run any tests on it yet, but she looks gorgeous
Thanks to Luke and everyone at Techfast : )

    • Just curious, did AusPost keep you up to date on package 2 of 2 (the actual PC), or was it just sitting in Awaiting Processing?

      Congrats on getting it :)

      • For me, 2/2 was updated regularly
1/2 was "Received and ready for processing" today, and changed to "on its way" this morning

        • Thank you, assumed as much. I assume 1 of 2 was the PC?

          • @nascent: yes 1/2 was the pc
2/2 must be the accessory box, which is really annoying because that's where the AMD promo code is to claim AC vahalla : (
            Guess you can't have everything

            • @squashiepants: Dang, I would've given it away to an AC fan here had I got one (I don't play AC), but I think I won't get it before the 7th promo period expires. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

                • @squashiepants: I actually got only 1 tracking number with no extra items so wonder whats the go there

                  • @Koiden: Yeah I only got 1 tracking number when I got my email last week. Maybe once they scan one it turns into two?
