Party like it's 1995! Kicking off RTX 3080 season with high spec systems through our partnership with Gigabyte, starting at $1998 with the Ryzen 5 3600.

Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700X | Gigabyte RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PCs: $1998 and $2188 after GIGA-3080-LAUNCH

Here's how allocation works:

  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Eagle OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • Limited quantity of Gigabyte Gaming OC cards arriving in September (scheduled for next week)
  • More stock is arriving in October for both. Once the "September" cards in the Graphics Card section are marked as sold out on the website, you can purchase the October variants, and your system will ship as soon as they come in.

Doesn't look good for Ventus cards this month. Was hoping I could pick mine up this month.. Oh well hopefully early next month.

    • Don't understand why, other retailers are receiving a lot of Ventus?

      • Guessing priority/preference by MSI on who gets what and when.

  • Can anyone shed some light on the possible shipping date of November 3080 stock? Whats the chance that i'll receive the PC before Cyberpunk 2077 comes out? (Nov 19th)

    • +1

Pretty sure if Luke replys he'll just say the cards are scheduled to arrive in November so don't go in with the expectations that'll it'll come out before November 19th even tho it might. The October orders haven't even shipped yet so you'd be setting yourself up for disappointment lol

    • +1

I don't think it's likely unless they get a large shipment of cards somehow…it'll already be impressive if all the October buyers are able to get their pcs before Nov 19

  • eagle here. ordered 19th october. not shipped. just a heads up

    • +3

Is this a typo? Did you mean ordered 19th of September? Also did you order just the card or the build

      • +1

Hahaha yes it was a typo. I meant 19th of September. I ordered the build

        • +2

All good! Would love to hear when any October eagle builds get delivered

  • Has anyone who has upgraded to the 240mm AIO liquid cooler option received their system yet? If so, what is the specific cooler?

    • +1

It's the Deepcool Gammaxx L240T. Comes in either red or blue,

      • OK cool, cheers mate!

      • Thank was wondering this aswell, heard it was Deepcool Gammax but thought it would be RBG version, ah well red or blue lighting it will be.

        • I emailed them and apparently they also use the Allied Ice Cube cooler, which I know nothing about and also can't seem to find any reviews for?

          • @n00btastic: Yeah Allied is the brand they use or are partnered with, have heard there Power Supplies aren't the best. Will be interesting to see as they told me they were using the Deepcool Gammaxx assuming it will just depend what they have in stock/ on hand? Cant find any review on the Allied or specs for it warranty etc?

            • @ryan1815: Yeah likewise… I was all for upgrading to the liquid cooler option but now I'm not so sure.

  • +3

Hoping we can see most of the October systems being shipped this week

  • +1

So from what I can gather am I the only person on Ozb that has had an October build shipped?

    • So far, but all the responses besides yours are for Eagle cards not OC Gaming

      • +2

Yep. Also waiting for someone with an order of the Eagle cards to post something hahah.

        • +1

I'm in the same boat just waiting for an eagle build to ship so I can relax a bit

    • +1

I'm holding on hope it will ship by the end of the week. 😱

  • +6

I posted a question to Techfast and got a very quick response from one of their representatives.

We're making good progress through a large number of orders, at this stage it is likely your system will be finalized and sometime before the 2nd of November.

We are currently awaiting our large delivery of RTX 3080s which are slightly delayed. We've had dispatch notification and they are on their way which means we are not too far away from having your system finalized.

Please note that I will be picking mine up and that this might not be the case for someone that has to have it posted to them.

I ordered mine on the 22nd September and it was MSI Ventus build.

    • Thanks for the update!
I ordered mine (MSI Ventus) on the 21st September, it would be interesting to see if they get dispatched on the same day.
I'll keep this thread posted if it does

    • Hi boshybrid, did your system get finalised and picked up?

      • I ordered on the 21st for the MSI Ventus and did not receive a shipping notification.

      • No I haven't. Just emailed them asking them what the current eta was.

  • +7

October gigabyte eagle 3080 computer just arrived today for anyone interested

    • Did you get a shipping/dispatch confirmation by email?

      • +1

Tracking notification by email on Oct 23rd

    • Nice!!! When did you get your shipping notification?

    • Any tracking or anything, also an October Gigabyte Eagle. Good signs though must mean at least some have arrived and would be being built!

    • What date/time did you place your order?

      • +2

        18 sep, about 1pm.

I think I was near the start of the October stock because the September stock ran out in my shopping cart.

        • +1

I was in the same boat I placed my order around 4pm on the 18th! Had it in my cart from the morning but was working all day and didn't get to it until then but should mean I get it soon !

  • +2

Item 1 of 2 arriving today here’s hoping it’s not the accessory box.

Interestingly one item is out for delivery and one is still in Sydney (coming to Melbourne)

    • They ship the product manuals and boxes in one shipment and the actual pc in the other.

      • I'm living in Adelaide I'm hoping when it's done I can just go pick her up and not have to deal with that just no clue where abouts they are heard in Adelaide.

        • They are located in Beverley. Techfast said they would give the full address when the system was ready.

          • @boshybrid: Cheers I threw them an email asking for the area and it's quite close to me so that's really convenient

      • +3

I missed the postie but going off my ring doorbell it was definitely the system.

Unfortunately won’t get to pick it up until tomorrow because the postie always drops parcels to the LPO for pick up after hours.

Any news on the MSI ventus october builds?

    • +9

Similar to the Giga orders, cards have been arriving and some orders now shipping, and some are still on the way to us.

  • +4

Oh well, Cyberpunk is delayed, good news for this who are scared they won't receive their November build in time 😅

    • Im actually so worried that theres going to be some major issue with the game now. Theyres not much they can be done in 20 days and I feel like another delay will be immanent

  • Any upgrade pricing for the 5000 series CPU's?

    • I would also be interested in upgrading CPU pending pricing.

    • +1

We will have, yep. I will talk about that in our 3070 deal coming up. If you would like to register interest and you have an existing order to ensure it doesn't ship before upgrade is available, please email [email protected]

      • Any estimate when you'll be posting this deal?

  • +3

Got my system today. No Assassins creed Valhalla which is a bit disappointing.

Even more disappointing considering at least one user in here didn’t even get a build with an eligible processor (Ryzen 7 and 9) and still received the code.

I know I sound like a whinged but if I had purchased the processor myself I would have received the code.

Would also appreciate Luke’s input on this because they are obviously part of the promotion if some systems received it. And I have confirmed with AMD that no Ryzen 5 SKU is eligible

    • Yours was an October Gaming OC system? Any other details on specs or upgrades you got?

That is quite poor not to received the AC code considering it would have came with the CPU, you would think if you reach out they could supply it.

      • +2

I’ll give Luke a chance to reply here. My build had a 3700x which is eigible for the code.

And as stated previous comments in this thread suggest others who weren’t eligible received a code.

    • What ram and SSD were you given? The lack of response on this from my last query ( I hope it's not the allied crap) has held off a few people from ordering and the one friend who did order based on my recommendation get annoyed at me haha. (Because I got the Kingston ram)

      • XPG ram which is actually RGB and CL16 (timings aren’t that tight though)

SSD is PNY I think. Never really looked

    • I emailed and asked for the code as I haven't got a shipping notice yet (same Eagle OC October build). I also upgraded to a Ryzen 9 so am expecting it.

Madigan from sales said they we could contact AMD directly and show proof of purchase and that techfast would contact AMD directly to see how this works. That was on 21 October and I'm still waiting. FAQs don't say that this can happen.

Given it's Oct 29 and shipping hasn't occurred yet I'd say we missed out which is very disappointing…

      Luke can you help??

      • Can’t even register the graphics for warranty or get watchdogs legions from gigabyte without the check code on the box the gpu comes in which isn’t included.

        • +1

That was another question last time I bought a pre built PC (from another store) I received all the boxes flattened in the same box the assembled PC came in, which I thought they would do here as well. Seems we have to chase them up, I will definitely be wanting to register for the warranty.

          • +2

@ryan1815: Of course as should everyone that purchases should. It’s a $1500 GPU you bet I want 4 years warranty.

I’ve sent techfast an email along with gigabyte support to see what can be done about this missing check code.

Gigabyte are the only company I know of that do this, quote annoying system really.

            • +1

@creesy: The check code is doable too, we just need to request it from Gigabyte upon request from a customer.

      • +3

        So I got a response from AMD…

        Hi XXX

If you did not receive a coupon code or did not receive all of your rewards, please contact your retailer to receive them.

Unfortunately, we do not distribute codes on our end as participating retailers are responsible for giving them out when an eligible product is purchased for the promotion. We advise customers to check with their retailers before the purchase to ensure that they are participating in our promo.

Codes are valid while supplies last. If you do not see the promotion on your retailer's website, the promotion may either have been exhausted or the retailer may not be participating.

Please note that sometimes the retailer does not provide a redeemable code until after the initial return period.

Please try to keep a log of all your communication with your retailer, as we may need this information in case we have to escalate your case internally.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Luke in your hands now buddy. I expect that you will need to send out codes ASAP if nothing else but to ensure that Techfast's reputation is upheld.

        • +4

Ditto - code would have just been overlooked in packing, apologies. Please email [email protected] if you haven't already and we'll send one now.

    • +4

Hi mate, would just have been overlooked in packing, we still have codes so CS will reply to your email, no issues.

      • do older 3700x orders apply?

  • +2

Ok in addition to my previous post.

GPU was dangling in the socket neither screw had even attempted to be screwed in. Not a massive issue but something to check when you receive yours.

    • it is worrying to think they may have been put together quite haphazardly especially considering the amount of money involved.

      • +3

Don’t stress I’ve thoroughly checked everything and the GPU not being tightened is the only issue.

But dangling as it was during shipping could have been a night mare outcome being such a bulky card

    • +3

Thanks for the heads up - forwarded straight to the build and QA team.

  • +2

    Any other October notifications?

    Guess we're heading into November!

    • +2

      Nothing here (gigabyte eagle).

    • +1

      Nothing here (MSI Ventus)

    • +1

Eagle Build from Oct (ordered Sept. 20) - Nothing here

    • +1

Nope. Eagle ordered on 18th at ~1:30pm

      • Nothing yet - Eagle / 18th Sept @ 4pm

"Similar to the Giga orders, cards have been arriving and some orders now shipping, and some are still on the way to us."

Judging by this, I would have expected more than 1 person (creesy) to have shipped by the time he received his order.. unless people are too occupied with their new systems 😅

    • Just emailed them to see if any updates.

See if I can cancel without restocking lol

      Edit
We're understandably getting plenty of emails so we are acutely aware of people's desires to get their systems!
The good news is that our October GPUs have been and still are coming in, and systems have been going out, constantly - they're just coming in smaller batches than usual, which is in turn slowing the process down more than usual. Some October cards are still on the way to us. We still can't give exact dates for any one order because it depends how many GPUs arrive in any one batch, except to say that we are allocating cards to orders at a date and time level of order priority, and we are making good progress every day.

As always we appreciate your patience and are working as fast as we can

Looking into the current progress of your order I'm afraid cancellation will indeed incur a cancellation fee.

Please understand that upon receiving an order, we immediately begin processing the order. As every PC we sell is customisable (or made-to-order), this includes ordering stock, committing staffing resources, administrative work, and other related procedures, all of which represent a cost to our business. Therefore once an order is placed we cannot accept a cancellation and offer a full refund, be it for change of mind or any other reason, without cost.
Cancellations can be handled in two ways:
      1) Order cancelled and refund issued, minus a 25% restocking fee.
      2) Order cancelled and a credit for the full amount provided, in the form of a coupon code to use on our website at any other time. This can be used in one full amount or multiple partial amounts.
We strongly recommend you consider this cancellation policy carefully before finalising your purchase, as it is not negotiable.

      • got the same email re: the status of orders, fingers crossed some of us starting getting tracking data soon

      • Same email.

    • +3

I can confirm some October Giga Eagle orders have already shipped and more are shortly too. Hang in there guys.

      • How far out do you start building orders. My friend has a November gigabyte build and is contemplating cancelling. Would this still incur additional fees? (Uncertainty of Ram and SSD brand and the lateness of October orders has him worried)

        • It can be assessed case by case. My advice would be to hang in there because NVIDIA supply isn't likely to change this side of Christmas so leaving one queue would end up joining the back of another. We will be offering upgrades and switches in both AMD CPUs and GPUs when they become available and can put orders on hold via request to [email protected].

          • @luketechfast: Thanks for the prompt reply Luke.

When will you advise on ryzen upgrade options or and GPU interchanges?

Would it be smart to put his November build on hold now or will you post up the deals shortly enough. Does putting on hold also further delay it if once you provide upgrade or change prices he keeps original order?

Ps. Have a few friends waiting for your new ryzen offering. Hoping you can keep the parts all branded.

    • Bit frustrating since I "upgraded" to the MSI Ventus early October to get the system sooner (as opposed to the November cards)… since people from mid September still haven't received a shipping notification, I guess I'm in it for the long wait anyway.

      • +3

It is a bit frustrating, I understand. We're getting there though. Ventus cards have been arriving and shipping as well.

        • +1

You are doing good work Luke. The communications you are giving on here are great, and we all just need to be patient. People need to understand that you aren't the only place that is facing these delays with Nvidia stock coming in.

  • +1

The AMD announcements might cause people to cancel their orders and more stock to become available for our orders here.

    • Won't they have to pay restocking fee

      • Yeah they would I think, more so just at other shops which might free up supply.

      • I thought the fee was only if it was partly built and you canned the order?

        • They explained in an email that they process the order immediately so the fee applies before they start to built it. That's because you can customize the computer, so they have to order specific parts for you hence why its called a stocking fee.

  • +2

with Big Navi out, might be lot of cancellations with the orders still yet fulfilled

    • +2

Delays are killing the hype. Especially with Ryzen 5000

      • Yeah amd has swooped in and absolutely murdered Nvidia with their new cards. Nvidia is failing to meet demands so people are gonna look to AMD instead if they can supply the stock.

        • +2

Eh, the software nvidia has on their gpus is too good imo to take a $50 discount on a 3080 level of card.

          • +1

@Flamexio: I'll clarify. I don't think the AMD cards represent better value. But if the rumors are right, and AMD can meet demands, then they will gain the customers Nvidia is losing from not having enough supply.
