Would rather not give my money to Umart

@[Deactivated]: That was junglegreen's point. Showing a fake rrp is actually illegal and I think it's fair to say that a reputable business wouldn't be involved in such practices.

Nothing wrong with letting people know what you think about a business who is caught doing this.

These are available for about $95 from AliExpress delivered from within Australia. Still a great price though :)

  • Great starter keeb if you don't mind the switches and lack of UDLR keys

    • +1

There's keys that make UDLR work so if anyone is worried about losing those keys, don't worry. They're still usable from the bottom right most corner of the keyboard.

  • How do the Gateron switches compare to the Cherry ones?

    • +2

Hard question to answer, they all have their purpose and their own supporters. There's a lot of people out there that don't actually like cherry switches and gateron are one of the larger 'alternative' names

    • +5

Pretty much the same, if anything people prefer Gateron reds over Cherry.
Either way the differences are generally minimal and the quality is just as good.
Definitely don't be put off by Gateron or Kailh!

Feel much better from my experience.
using Gateron reds on my Anne pro 2 typing this haha.

    • There's not really much of a difference between Cherry MX switches and their 'clones' (e.g. Gateron, Kaihl) - except for cost. Clones are generally half the price of genuine Cherry switches.

      • Cherry clones like gateron are better a lot of the time. Cherry tooling in recent years has resulted in scratchy housing.

    • Gateron Greens with good stabs a bit of lube and love are my favorite switches.

Ild be all over this, if it was white lol

Ah, it is Ozmechanicalkeyboardbargains day. Not a bad thing as I am in the market for a keyboard.

  • been considering a bluetooth kb but I use the arrow keys often enough that 60% sounds like a hassle. hows everyone else's experience with it?

    • Arrow keys will still function as normal, I wouldn't worry. :)

    • Just got mine today from ebay. I've rebinded the arrow keys on the bottom right row and it works pretty well, I feel like if I had one extra button it would be perfect Would highly recommend. Their software is top notch compared to Velocifire M2 which I had before it.

    • Get a 65 percent keyboard. Plenty of cheapy ones on Ali express. If you want to get a more trustworthy brand, try keychron.

    • I had issues connecting to my MacBook. It worked fine with Windows/Android devices.

Regarding the arrow keys, the tap function along with modifier keys works fine for me. When arrow keys are required, the magic FN(Caps Lock) + WASD works fine.

  • I got mine from BangGood for $104 delivered (sales happen often, I would just keep an eye out) and it arrived exactly 2 weeks later. They use Fastway though (who didn't bother to come to my door and just left a "we missed you" note even though I was home), so I wouldn't recommend BangGood for that very reason, but otherwise solid keyboard, sound great, RBG can be finicky at times, but you can't go wrong with doubleshot PBT key caps. I chose the black version because the case is ABS plastic, which can yellow over time.

For my case, they used Australia post and somehow they had incorrect post code on label and it was sent back.

    • Banggoods also sells the wooden chassis in case you want to replace. 😊 My local fastway delivery guy is ok, may be your one is just lazy

    • I was lucky. Have ordered 4 times from them for various items and they've been great. Not too slow and delivered properly.

Saw someone comment in another mech KB deal that the Tecware Phantom L is a great option. Has UDLR, looks good to me - why this one over that, any opinions?

    • link?

Hah seeking input for the potential benefit of many gets a down vote? Good one idjit

    • +2

I actually have both of these Keebs. I'll take my Anne any day of the week over my Tecware. Not to say it isn't a nice board, but a lot comes down to preference, and the 60% form factor, with bluetooth, ticks a lot of boxes for me.

  • if you want a full size wireless mechanical keyboard, I have the filco majestouch 2. Excellent keyboard with brown switches.

  • Looks so cool but already have Razer keyboard

  • Looking to get a new keyboard was wondering which would be good looking at Royal Kludge G87 87 Keys Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Wireless, Logitech 613 or this one?

    • I ordered RK G87 (brown switch) from Banggood back in June for about AUD$70. I have been using the keyboard since July and so far I am fairly happy with it. One thing to note is that the bluetooth connection dropped off from time to time.. maybe once a week. Also, I need to charge the keyboard once a week and twice if heavy use.

      • Has it disconnect while using?

        • Yes. I was typing away and it lost connection. I have turn it on and off again to get it to work.

  • Great keyboard, highly recommend. If you're looking to get into mech keyboards, it's a good starting platform for mods (have custom switches, case and key caps on mine now).
