"The best" is a pretty big call. I guess the proof is in the pudding

Aldi's rice pudding is a rebrand of wicked sister.. same packaging.. same taste.. always on sale

What proof it is a rebrand? That's Aldi's strategy - copies successful products to con customers. They keep them just different enough to stop legal challenges.

    • i have tried both, aldi is not as great.

  • Do they make the chocolate mousse anymore? That was a stand out in their line of products imo.

  • Never had these before, are they nice? Are there any better/comparable brands?

they're pretty amazing, i was surprised to find that quality from the supermarket because i would have thought theyd come from restaurants

Can't find the Tiramisu in my local Woolies these days. Does anyone have a recommendation on good desserts in supermarkets apart from Tiramisu and Rice Pudding?

We get these. You only need a small serve with some cream. We heat up the slices in the microwave.

      • Thanks. Will try this :)

        • Would be interested to see what you think :). You can get them on special for $6 every few months.

          • @try2bhelpful: I tried this yesterday. I must say it's really good. I have always wondered if there are any good alternatives for the Choc Lava Cake, and this is pretty close. Thanks for your suggestion. I am thinking of trying it with some bananas and ice cream!!!

@interstellar: I’d be going the other way with some salted caramel and vanilla ice cream :). We normally have it with the Paul’s “dollop” cream, which I would, also, recommend.

What we like it you can just cut off a small slice and leave the rest still frozen.

              Glad you like it.

Despite the sugar content (13.7g per 100g), I like the taste of this rice pudding. Thanks for the post, I always pick a couple up at this price.

  • (profanity) yum!!
