A good reminder for everyone who use Amazon Prime, I have just extended with this method.

This option reported with high success rate
Option 1:

Opt in for 30-day Prime trial.
3 days before trial ends, go to cancel and when a message to change a plan appears, click the button to switch >to annual ($59).
A day before trial ends, go to cancel and when a message to change a plan appears click the button to switch to >annual ($59).
Right after changing the plan go back to cancel the plan again - a message to extend the trial for another 30 days >will appear.
Click the button to extend the plan.

Option 2:

Update 03/05/19. How it may also work:

Opt in for 30-day Prime trial.
3 days before trial ends, go to your account to cancel membership.
On the second page of cancellation process, notice an offer for a 30-day extension and accept it.

    Second method didn't work. Tried the first method and changed to annual payment but instead of waiting until the last day, I immediately ended membership and was offered the extension.

      I tried 1st method and it didn't switch my plan to annual payment.

      I also attempted to end the membership but no extension was offered at the end.

        You have to choose "switch to annual payment", it doesn't do it automatically. Then once it has, you choose to end the membership.

    When I joined the trial about a month ago from now, it defaulted me to annual payments. 3 days before the subscription expired:

    • I followed through to the second step where I swtiched to monthly payments.
    • After receiving an email for switching to monthly payments, I repeated the process to the second step and got the extension offer.
    • Switched back to Annual after taking the extension.

    Hope that helps someone who has a similar experience. Thanks OP and TA.

    Option 1 worked for me too, i had a card added on my account.. but for some reason the prime renewal screen wasn't picking up the payment method.
    For this to work, the payment method has to be defaulted and that's when all the offer pop-up's came through.

    Option 1 worked and I didn't even have to wait till the last day. Offer came up when I tried to cancel right after choosing to switch to annual plan.

    It works! Free trial expiring on 14/11. Changed to annual plan 12/11. Went to cancel 13/11 and got free trial extension. Perfect for upcoming Christmas sales! Thanks OP! :)

    Used this the other day too and extended easily. Never used Amazon before. But the Mrs needed/wanted a few things, so free postage from overseas is working very well!

    I have recently renew as well and confirmed that both option is still working.
    However option 1 has a higher success rate

    Are people still able to sign up for multiple free trials? Seems like they cracked down on this. I haven't been able to sign up after mine expired, even with new email/number.

    Holy shit, this is (profanity) magic.
    It worked for me, prime was supposed to end tomorrow but managed to get a 30 day extension by choosing option 1.

    Option 1 or 2 is definitely not working for me :(

    I'm on the last day of the trial today, when there was 3 days left I did option 1, switching from monthly to annual.

    Have returned each day since and I can go right through to the last step of cancelling and I get no such offer… (to extend)

    I'm on the first 30 days…

      Ok, now to clear this up…

      I discovered that I already had a free prime trial and extension on this same email account from Feb 2019 to April 2019.

      So technically I've had 90 days of prime on this account, I think that's pretty good 😂

      I must've tried 20 times to get another 30 days but the big A had enough..

      Yes no one report that you can get a second chance, but I asked CS to extend me for 1 month as I spend quite a few on Amazon, they give me 3 more months for free, worth a try.
