Razer Basilisk Ultimate Wireless - $181

Looks like Razer's top end wireless gaming mice are going down in price, was $209 a few weeks ago at JB-Hi-Fi https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/566637. Rtings has a good comparison between this and the G502 Hero https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tools/compare/razer-basilisk-ul….

Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless - $188

The cheapest it has ever been. Good price for a high end gaming mouse, especially that it has their Optical Switches which should eliminate double clicking (which is present on a few Logitech and other Razer mice).

I literally bought this last week from Bing Lee and negotiated down to $220. :( Great mouse, and yes it comes with the charging dock.

If you prefer super light go with the viper as it is 20 or so grams lighter, but I like the thumb rest on the Basilisk personally. It's literally a total rip off of the Logitech G502, but better. No need to reinvent the wheel I guess… :D

    • Why is it better?

      • Optical switches, more durable side grips, smoother gliding PTE feet and has the charging dock (if you prefer to use it). But the G502 does have two extra buttons and the infinite scroll wheel. But unlike many g502's, Razer's optical switches won't have double-clicking in all its life.

    • Thumb rest is great as long as you're right-handed. Sadly, us left-mousers miss out as a result. It's a shame they don't have anything like the Orobourous any more, which was great for both. It would be awesome if they could resurrect that same form factor with the new sensors and optical switches. The Viper seems a good alternative as it's fully ambidextrous, but minus the thumb wrest though.

  • This or the current deals on the logitech g703 lightspeed? Heard a lot about reliability issues on logitech, is this the case with the 703 also?

    • Many reports that logitech mouse suffer from double click issue.

"Main reason for this double clicking plague on logitech wireless is the mouse tech it self, not the switch. The lightspeed circuits are very low power and only 3.3 voltage." From reddit, so take it with a grain of salt.

  • I have the Viper Ultimate, best mouse I've owned, but only been through half a dozen Razer and Logitech mice.

Been waiting for the Blackshark V2 to go on special, thanks OP

    • Have you tried the Logi G Pro?
