Looks like shopping express is clearing the last of their turing gpus. I had this card and it performs well at 1440p and runs very cool.

  • AMD Navi2 and Nvidia RTX3060 is coming to shake up the pricing on these cards :).. its going to be funny seeing a RX6700XT 12GB beating a RTX 2070 8GB Super for around $499 AU
and a RX6700 12GB for $399 matching it. I'm guessing the RTX3060 will be $599AU with the Nvidia TAX

Interesting comment. Where are you getting those hopeful prices for Big Navi from? Essentially you’re saying they’ll be roughly $299usd for a rx6700xt.

I can’t see the top AMD gpus for under $750/$7800 personally, but one can hope I guess.

He's just telling people to wait for RDNA 3 so they could get RDNA 2 for cheap

        • He didn’t reference RDNA2 though? If AMD are creating a gpu that competes with Ampere then there’s no reason for them to offer the prices much lower than Nvidia. I don’t doubt prices will fall further for RDNA2, but reality is the 6700XT could even be $1000+ aud if it’s a true competitor to the 3080.

@tkotk: I'm just memeing the dude

            • @ln28909: Lol I didn’t realise the /s. Took the bait nicely

          He literally said we'd get RX6700XT for $499 and RX6700 for $399.

          • @wii247: Yep my bad. I thought he was referencing RDNA1 dropping which is obvious. The pricing for RDNA2 will still be a lot more than the prices he’s speculating.

Solid card, before buying make sure to look at the dimensions, it's a monster.

  • There is a trend for 2070s going from 600 -> 500. Over 600 is still too much.

    • +2

For the less premium models yes. This msi is one of the best out there, would be cracking value under $600 but we’ll see if it gets there once the 3070’s arrive.

I still argue it’s not bad value at the current price if you need a card now and don’t want to battle for a 3070/3060/RDNA2.

      • How is it different from others in terms of performance?

10% discount seems to be for all their GPUs atm. Theres a preorder for a 3080 card @1799 which adds 10% discount when added to cart.

    • Yep seems to be on most gpus actually. Their ampere series are still overpriced even with 10% off.

  • It's like buying stocks on the way down, they're usually dropping for a reason.
But there is a base value and I'd say this one would be around 550, given it will still underperform a 3060.

I think you’re right, but the question really is how long will you wait for a 3060/ti? For someone who needs a gpu now, this ain’t too bad and should hold some value. They’re selling for close to this used on eBay.
