  • At the risk of sounding silly, how do we tell if we have a recessed recessed vesa mounting points? I have a Dell 27” U2719D

    • The VESA mounting threads will be flush with the outside shell of the monitor if not recessed.

The U2719D looks to be recessed. If you take the stand off it should look like this.

That recessed area has the VESA mounts and the mounts for the Dell articulating stand. The rectangle holes at the top and bottom are where the included Dell stand attaches to and the philips head screws are to be removed when attaching a VESA mounting plate like what comes with this monitor arm, to the monitor.

  • What price will the F100A be for the sale?

    • The F100A in Black - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07496HG96?ref=myi_title_dp
will be $70.36 for Prime Members.
      Hope this helps.

      • including prime delivery?

        • I think delivery is free for Prime Members but as it is over the $39 threshold it would probably be free Metro delivery anyway. Regional deliveries may still cost however.

Desk mounts are so ugly. The whole point of the mount is so you don't need a base…

    • We do have a range of Wall Mounts - no base on the desk….

      • Awesome, any specials on those??

        • Unfortunately not at this stage. Amazon won't include products in specials if the sales volume does not meet their requirements. :-(

    • it's personal preference, and the whole point is to clear space where the default monitor stand would've sat, not solely for aesthetics. there isn't really a 'base' on these mounts, they sit closer to the edge of the table and take up significantly less desk real estate.

  • Am I crazy or is it coming up as $44?

Edit: Somehow missed the giant "TOMORROW" badge

  • Just ordered 'VIVO Single LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Fully Adjustable/Tilt/Articulating for 1 Screen 13" to 27" (STAND-V001)' in the morning and now saw

Does anyone know if the Vivo model is a better product in comparision to this model.

I have about 30mm under my desk before there is a skirt/apron. Will the clamp fit under the table?

  • -1

ScreenMountsAu, apologies…this is to request you to answer couple of questions I asked in my earlier comment which might have skipped your attention. I know you have been getting lots of questions. Appreciate your effort in answering them.

  • -1

It says up to 27" but it couldn't support my Sony 27EXR10. Fail!

  • I got 2 of these from past sale.

Its been great, only tricky thing is my desk is does not has enough depth that the clamp is a bit too big.
Hence I have to add a wooden block underneath my desk so it can clamped securely.

But yea no complaint it looks good and looks very professional :)

    • You know you can change the depth of the clamp, right?

  • When using the grommit mount is there room for other cables e.g. Keyboard and Mouse, to fit in the same normal desk sized hole?

    Cheers

    • To route the cables through the grommet mount hole, you just need to ensure it is big enough to fit the plugs through but not too big for the plate that goes underneath.
The normal size hole in many desks works fine at about 60mm.

    • +1

Nah it's bolt though the desk, You'll need a separate hole for the K+M.

  • What is the depth needed on the lip of the desk for the clamp to attach to?

    • The forward edge of the round clamp is about 55mm in from the back of the desk.
      Hope this helps.

      • I have about 30mm under my desk before there is a skirt/apron. Will the clamp fit under the table?

  • Do we need these stands if you don’t often move your monitors around e.g. for collaboration? I plan to have a 3 monitors setup and was thinking to buy 3 of these to help align the monitors perfectly but don’t know if I need the these mounts or the Dell stands are good enough (I don’t mind having the normal stands occupying the desk space behind the monitors.

    • +1

If the stands sets your monitor in an ergonomic position then the only reason I can think of is what you said - increasing desk space.

    • +1

I have a deep desk against a wall so a monitor arm will allow for easy access storage options under and behind the monitor. I also like the idea of using it as a semi standing desk, maybe get one of those trays that attach to the mount for a keyboard and mouse under the monitor.

The articulating stands that Dell includes with a lot of their monitors is really good and will be easy to align. People were happy to pay a $~40 premium for a recent deal with that stand compared to the monitor with a crap stand.

I've read comments that people regret getting the 2in1 or 3in1 stands and say to get 3 separate ones like this.

    • mainly the looks will be super clean.

i used to run 3 monitor as well. but i use one dual-arm with one single arm, it is way cheaper to buy a triple arm one. also i got the versatility later for dual monitor set up.

  • I got the H80 which has similar specs a few weeks ago.

It’s holding my LG 34” ultrawide with no worries. Monitor weighs 6ish kgs.

Moves pretty easy and cable management is good.

    Overall pretty happy.

  • I’m always confused between gas strut and gas spring monitor stand, is one of those superior than the other or they are the same? Thanks

    • They are the same thing, just different names.

      • gotcha thanks. I got F160 last time and thought gas sprint is inferior to gas strut, glad that they are the same.
btw I had to grind the edge of vesa mount in order to fit the mount into monitor.. Because my LG monitor has rounded edge on the mount slot.

  • Are there any monitors arms that clip on instead of needing to screw into the mount?

    • There are but we don't currently carry them.
North Bayou just released them but we have not ordered as they were not available last time we asked.

    • You can get something like this to convert any mount into a detachable one.

  • What about none-prime customers?

    • +1

It's an Amazon Prime Promotion that they organized. I don't know if they will just charge shipping or if you have to be a member to get the deal.
      Sorry, I just don't know.

  • Like others before I'm curious about the thickness of desk this can be attached to as well. I have a 4.5" drawer just underneath the top of the desk and hence the mount clamp will need to extend more than this. Will this fit?

    • Unfortunately not. Maximum desk thickness varies a little from model to model but basically 90-100mm max.

  • Would these be able to hold 34in monitors?
    like the mi monitor 34"

  • Any arm for 34 inch ultrawide curved?

    • The F100A Black https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07496HG96?ref=myi_title_dp
which is on Special tomorrow as well on Amazon at $70.36 for Prime Members from 12 Midday until 8pm or when stock is sold out.
      Hope this helps.

      • Great, any chance you can tell me if theres a lot of stock with FBA?

Also, does it work with recessed vesa mounts. I have the Alienware AW3418DW, hoping that it will work.

        • +1

The F100A does work with recessed VESA mounts and there are 381 in stock at the moment. They may go fast when the deal goes live at Midday tomorrow.

          • @ScreenMountsAu: Great, just happen to be on the market for one too. Hope you guys make banks tomorrow. Good luck!

  • So tempting! But I already got 2 non gas strut monitor arms and an adjustable desk. Why would I need 2 gas strut monitor arms? Need someone to convince me!

    • i had the non gas, its rubbish compared to these
i would if i was you and trust me you be happier with the aesthetic as well

  • once you start using monitor stand, you can never go back to traditional ones.

  • Will this work with the Dell U3818DW, or am I stretching the weight limits on this one?

    • +2

The F80 would not as it is only designed for up to 30" and currently does not work with recessed VESA mounts, but the F100A does work with recessed VESA mounts and there are 381 in stock at the moment. They may go fast when the deal goes live at Midday tomorrow.
      The F100A deal is - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07496HG96?ref=myi_title_dp

  • best mount for my monitor? need 360 rotation, swivel +/- 90deg for single arm. This is what it looks like from the back -https://www.riokou.co.uk/sin/rog_swift%20(3).jpg

  • Quick question… I have my desk pretty much pushed up against a wall (about a 5cm gap between the wall and the desk).

When tilting the monitor down, I'm going to assume the back of this mount is going to go outways right? hitting the wall in my situation?

Can I install the mount so it sits as an arm on right angled / or left angled? Or it doesn't hit the wall in my situation?

Most importantly how far out does the clamp sit from the desk?

    Thanks.

    • +1

      Hi,
      The second one first.
The clamp bracket that goes behind the desk is about 5mm thick plus another 15mm for the new style adjustable clamp.
Your solution for just mounting the base off to the side is the perfect solution and you may be surprised about how many people can't work that out.
      Hope this all helps.

      • Okay great I'll pick one up tomorrow.
        2pm right?

  • How many of this unit are there in stock and how long do you expect them to last?

    • Numbers are in the reply below but as to how long they will last it is really hard to gauge.
F80 could go in 4-5 hours based on previous sales and F100A might not last that long as stock numbers are much lower, but it is not quite as popular due to the price.

  • Hi OP,

How many pcs of F80 and F100A do you have in stock with Amazon? Just would like to gauge my competition for tomorrow.

    Cheers

EDIT: Uskompuf beat me to it by 10 secs.

    • +6

Right now about 1500 of the F80 and 380 of the F100A. We will also be listing some specials for the H80, H100, H160 and H180 just in case people have recessed VESA mounts which the F80 has issues with at the moment.
      Hope this helps.

  • I know absolute nothing about mounts. Would the Acer Predator XB241H 24" be compatible by any chance?

    • Works perfectly with my XB271HU 27" if that helps you at all.

  • I purchased two of these for two Dell 27" I bought in the recent deal. Very easy to install and looks great on the desktop.
    +1

  • will this fit xiaomi monitor 34inch ?

  • Will this work for a benq xl2430t?

    • From what I can see, this monitor has a recessed VESA Mount, so better to go with the F100A or any of the H Series.

      • hi op, for the xiaomi 34 inch, should i buy the f80 or the f100a, thanks

  • Might be a silly question but how flush can it be to the wall if you push it flat against the wall?

also would it fit my 34" LG 34UM95-P which is around 6.7KG / 100x100 vesa

  • Hey, I was just wondering if this desk mount would work with a aoc c27g1?

    Thanks

    • I'm interested too as I have an AOC C24G1 - @ScreenMountsAu

  • Hey ScreenMountsAu,

Was just wondering what the Maximum Height to the centre of VESA Mount is for the F80? And what would be the difference between the F80 and H80 mount?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,
Would this fit for my LG monitor? i have LG 27" Class Full HD IPS Monitor, Product code: 27MP48HQ-P.AAU

    Thanks

    • Sorry, no.
It looks like your LG monitor does not have VESA mounting points so nothing for the Monitor Mount to attach to the Screen.

      • Can you recommend any other mounts that are compatible with my monitor ?

  • YESS, my patience will pay off finally, been eyeing for NB monitor mount and this is a newer model which is even better

  • Looking for a dual monitor arm , any suggestions ? Or get 2 of these, 1 for each monitor ?

  • What time will the H180 go on sale? is it 2pm or midday?

    • +1

The special pricing for all of the H Series mounts is just by way of recognition of the OzBargain members. Just set this up tonight as a way of saying thanks for the support and so the pricing on them is SUPPOSED to go live just after midnight tonight. I put it in starting the 13th and going till stock is gone or the 15th.

      • Looks like I'll be staying up then.. :) thanks and appreciate it!

        • Me too, just to see if it works as planned….

      • It comes up under Amazon Prime Deals for me, saying "Starts for Prime members at
        11:00"

Not sure if thats local WA time or AEST or something else.

        • AEST 11pm

  • these are $44 normal price? so $9 off?

    • +1

20% off was a minimum requirement of the Amazon Prime Day deal and partly supported by the Manufacturer as it would not be possible without. Their contribution to market development.

  • Recessed mounting points refers to something like this? This is my actual monitor…

    https://i.ytimg.com/vi/XxOxfZ21ue8/maxresdefault.jpg

  • Does anyone know if the yellow logo can be removed?

    • Yes, they are just a sticker, but as they are behind the screen, in many cases they are not even noticed.

  • +1

Have to say, much respect for OP.
Patience enough to answer everyone's questions, if I just hadn't purchased some monitor stands I'd be on board.

    • +1

Cheers, and I'm confident we'll get you next time. ;-)

    • You should probably try an FAQ in the description, save you from answering the same question more than once!!
I was also curious about how close to the wall you could mount this kind.

  • This is another recessed mount question. I have an AOC C24G1 monitor. Will I have any problems fitting the mount to my monitor if I buy the F80?

Also, the lip of my desk is 30mm. Will that be an issue?

  • Hello.

My company purchased 20 of these from this seller via their website. Delivery was via courier, the very next day, the product is first class.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the seller or the product.

  • +1

Is there any reason to get the F80 over the H80? H80 looks to be more height adjustable via the pole, plus it will fit in recessed vesa mounts.
