Yeah me too, I'm looking for a B550/X570 mobo

You'll mostly be relying on US Prime Day deals. Fingers crossed we'll see some PSU deals, but everything else is up in the air, subject to demand.

Historically, Amazon AU hasn't been a great place to grab a GPU.

      • Well Amazon Prime Day covers international stuff as well, so I suppose I would have to keep my eye out on Amazon throughout the night to make sure I dont miss out on anything good haha

    • Small chance someone might do a cashback deal that could help if the category is included but generally not a lot of component sales.

      • Ah right, I see. Still keeping my fingers crossed though!

Get those DS4 controllers for the PS5! /s

    • +1

I might get one for my PS4

    • +1

Good idea, if you're planning playing PS4 or PSVR games on PS5 :)

  • +1

remember when there was an eBay sale for the Samsung galaxy s10 for $899 last year. Amazon price matched it and, eBay ended up dropping it down by $50 hahaha

hoping eBay would do something like this so Amazon would drop their prices further as im only here for the best price avail ✌️

  • +3

    Deals are underwhelming so far

  • I got that soundbar on a previous deal - love it and it goes great with some other home speakers I have (for music)

  • +4

What a s*** bunch of deals lol

  • does anyone know if Amazon discounts Lego sets on Prime day?

  • Does TLoU2 come with a free PS5 upgrade?

    • +1

Nothing has been said yet. Sony have been suspiciously quiet when it comes to first party upgrades for PS5…

    • it'll fall further this year

    • I highly doubt it. Spider-Man PS4 is not a free upgrade but runs like if you had the PS4PRO

    • +1

all Naughty Dogs games will be playable on PS5. But i don't think they will get an upgrade

  • +3

    Amazon meh day

  • +2

I blame eBay Plus for not offering any competition

  • +4

Bought a Switch for $399 from JB in late 2017, amazed they've never really gone much below that.

    I've never paid more then $49 for a PS4 controller…

Not feeling very "Primed" for this Prime Day.

    • $49 for the controller is decent. Just sold a v1 DualShock for $50 + $10 post recently lol
Either than that, all the other video game and console deals are pretty meh

  • Nahhh

  • -6

I hope this is a joke

    It’s so underwhelming

    • You do realise this is just one of the deals for prime day right?

  • Damn Fitbit Versa 2 for $199. I was hoping to claim 28 Degrees price protection, but just checked and I bought it 12 months ago today! By tomorrow I'll be SOL

  • How do I claim the 28 degree price protection?

    • If you opted in to the Shopper's Protection when it was available, then you can claim through the website

      • yeah i did, just never needed to do it before. just logged into the site and see if i can find the link, so i know what i need to claim it.

        hmm I see,

        • select the insurance link from the menu up the top,
        • select credit card
        • select price protection claim from the drop down menu

given i cant go any further without filling the form, what proof will i need for them? or can anyone tell me what im going to need to do, given i'm sure it will sell out pretty quickly and they wont be able to verify?

        • +2

You can take a screenshot of the deal, which will be sufficient evidence if required to present it. They generally don’t ask for evidence on claims worth less than $200 though, I think they just check for a matching transaction with that retailer on/around the day you specify in your claim.

You just need to put a description of the item (info depends on the category), when and where you bought it, what you paid for it, when and where you saw the lower price, what the lower price is, and a few other simple multiple choice questions.

          Takes about 2 minutes.

        • +2

Submit the page to wayback machine to make sure it gets crawled

I sold my OG 500g PS4 with two controllers on Dumbtree for $360 but I’m tempted to get a new Dualshock 4 to use with my PS5 so I can still play PS4 co-op games with my son. Cheaper than shelling out for a second PS5 controller.

    • +3

Damn, maybe I should sell stuff on gumtree, seems like there are some suckers on there :)

What idiot would pay $360 for a second hand PS4 this late in its lifecycle? I paid less than that for a brand new Pro

      • Yeah I know. I received a lot of lowball offers and started to get worried I’d missed the boat, but then came good in the end.

        • Howd you sell it so you dont get scammed or mugged?

Not joking but can you meet up at the police station to sell things?

          • +2

@HeyHeyHeyIsItADeal: Cash only, pick up only. And I guess it depends on what type of area you live in if you’re dealing with locals. You don’t want just anyone turning up at your house.

You have to trust your gut and use your own judge of character as to whether you’re dealing with someone genuine and trustworthy.

I used to buy/sell stuff on the trading post back in the day so I guess I still have some belief in the good in people.

          • +1

@HeyHeyHeyIsItADeal: Meet in a public place is usually enough, car park with lots of people around.

Always cash. PayPal and Bank Transfers can be reversed. Ask for their driver's licence if you want their personal details (won't help you too much though if you do get scammed).

  • +2

Sony recommends using a PS4 controller when playing PS4 games on the PS5.

  • A deal is a deal, but this is underwhelming.

  • I've selected a few lightening deals to 'watch' but can't find a page/link to see all my 'watched' items… what's the point of the 'watch' button?!

    • I add them to my cart where I can then "save for later"

  • +1

I can’t find the $44.08 dual shock 4… sure it’s the offical ones?

    • +1

      I only found unofficial controllers - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B089YBVQ74

Disappointing as I was searching specifically for one.. unless someone can link a genuine controller on sale?

      • Cheapest is $77 :(
I was hoping to get one for the Apple TV

        • +1

Patience my friend, Prime day is tomorrow (which is less than an hour away)

          • @FireRunner: Well that explains a lot! Haha. Thanks :)

            Edit @ 12:05
            Still not up…

            • @Rimzi: legit stayed up to midnight and there is no sale for controllers, also rest of the sales suck so bad.

    • +2

They don't go live until midnight. Definitely the official Amazon AU stock like they usually run on BF/CM.

  • +3

Was expecting a sub $400 price on the switch. Guess I'll wait until Black Friday / Cyber Monday in November.

  • Does anyone know if the cashback categories are going to be extended to areas they usually exclude or just tiny % increases?

  • +3

Not a great price on the Switch. I paid $315 from Amazon in July 2018 in this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/391230

  • wheres the controller deal???

  • Thanks got Switch + Minecraft for $409

    • Whys it's showing 448 for me…

      • +1

You have to add Minecraft to and it will show in cart as $409.There is a option for adding it above the add to cart. Looks like only for Neon model.

        • Got it to work. Thanks!

  • No discount on dualshock :/

    • -4

      Nope, it should be removed.

SHIVANGI:Thank you very much for waiting.
I'm sorry this deal is not in our website yet.
      Please check our Amazon.com.au website.
Me:will it be on at a later date?
      or was this a mistake?
SHIVANGI:Don't trust on third party website.
If we have such type of offer you will be notified.

      • "I'm sorry this deal is not in our website YET"

hmmm, I'm guessing its one of those 10am+ type deals maybe?

        • -2

''Don't trust on third party website.''
Who knows.. it would still show up I think.

          • @Rukiata: The thing is these "third party websites" probably have decently reliable sources within Amazon.

            • -2

@BarginGrabber: just went in live chat again
''Their is no such sale as Save up to 51% off RRP on select PlayStation DualShock 4 Controllers on prime day as well.''

              • -1

@Rukiata: LOL I hope you didn't lose too much sleep Bud .
                Classical :)

  • -4

and where is the ps4 pro console deal?

  • +1

    Aahhh… Now I get it.

They are saying that you will get two shocks, when you find out the PS4 Controller is not on sale.

  • If you already purchased The Last of Us Part II for $49.97 and it hasn't shipped, you can cancel the purchase and repurchase for $48. Make sure it's still in stock right before you cancel though.

  • +2

DualShock 4 deal is live. Red and Midnight Blue. $48 delivered.

    • weird chat said they wont be, glad they did, got the midnight blue one, thanks

  • +2

Controllers Lightning deal now on $48 red or blue

  • Gotta decide if I should bite the bullet on Blue or wait for a potential Black deal….

EDIT: Waited too long and timed out. Turns out if you time out the item in your basket you can't claim it again even if there is still stock.

    • buy the blue one and if the black one becomes available buy that and just return the blue one.

      • Yeah I would have done that, but lost the offer unfortunately.

        • I have just cancelled mine. pick it up if you can

    • I did the same, messaged the Mrs to see what the kid would prefer. Rookie mistake.

      • I joined the waitlist and when I reloaded the page 3 minutes later I got one for $48.

  • 93% claimed on the last dual shock, they're going to sell out completely after only 25 minutes.

  • Dual shock OOS

  • Dammit, was waiting for prime day purely for this. Need to be quick.

    • +1

      Join the waitlist

      • +1

Did, just got it for $48. Was on the waitlist 3 minutes…

  • Got the midnight blue PS4 controller for $48; is this a good deal?

    • Yes. $90 brand new or $74 pre-owned at EB Games

  • Was spewing that I missed the dualshock deal. But chose the waitlist option and sure enough got the lightning price available within a few mins like what the comments here said :D

It pays to read the comments.

  • Looks like the Nintendo Switch bundle with Minecraft is over, it's saying $433 for the two in my cart now.

    • Go to the checkout, its showing $392 for me. The switch console itself is now $399.

      • Hmm weird! Mine in the checkout is $433, the individual prices of both items - is the $392 for both items?

        • I can't get $392 now. The price has reverted back to $409 as advertised.

  • Had a dualshock ordered & even received order confirmation!

I decided to check my order history again now and apparently my order was cancelled as Amazon detected suspicious activity on my account :( … turns out it was ME! ordering a dualshock controller. /sadface guess I'll try again during black friday sales

  • -1

Just got home from work and the bloody PS4 controllers are gone. How do I get on the wait list? I don’t see any button or option for it.

  • Did the PS4 Controllers run out of stock? Showing up as full price for me :c

    • Woops didn't see the second page of the comments. Thanks all for the updates!
