    Samosas are great.

    • Thanks! I was wondering and going to ask. These will make a great side when we use some of our stockpile of half price Spice Tailors.

    • Are they vegetarian? And what are their sizes like? There was a veggie one I bought from Woolies a couple of times in the past and they were tiny.

Samosas are primarily vegetarian snack though there are less popular meat versions available. I guess the tiny ones are labelled as 'cocktail samosas'. I tried to find Sabrini samosas in catalogue to find out how many pieces are in 1.125kg (that will give you a fair idea of the size) but I can't find it in NSW catalogue. NSW catalogue has Haldiram's (another brand) samosas instead and they are 8pcs in 660gm pack so they shouldn't be tiny either. I don't like the super tiny ones as they often have the coating made of pastry stuff (like spring rolls) instead of the original flour material as per the authentic recipes.

        • Thanks. Yeah, couldn't find it in the SA catalogue too.

Agree. Authentic samosas are meant to be vegetarian. I am really surprised that this Indian snack became so popular in western and Asia Pacific countries.

    • Thanks. I also have enjoyed the tiny onion cocktail samosas you get at your Indian grocer's as well.

i was waiting for samosas, and here they are,
    thanks mate

  • I see Haldiram's Punjabi Samosa 650g for $5 instead of Sabrini Punjabi Samosa 1.125kg for $7. 😥

    • In 2 days.

      • They are both start in 2 days, but NSW is offered Haldriam's instead of Sabrini. 😥😥😥

        • Ditto for qld

        • Yeah, can't find them in the SA catalogue either.

    • Yup.. Haldiram's ones say 'medium spicy' on the packet.. I prefer the mild ones as it's hard to gauge the scale of spiciness from the packet labels.

Sabrini are one of the most underrated samosa. Full of flavour and right spiceness. They usually go for $14. Thanks OP

  • So Sabrini Samosa's not available in NSW? 😕

It's available in NSW.i usually buy from my local Coles or Indian grocery
