    This isn't a bargain…

  • +1

    How much is this normally?

  • +13

    This isn't the way.

  • +2

How is this a bargain? Isn't this more like an ad?

  • +3

As excited I am for Season 2, this isn't a bargain.

    • Hence SUB in the title.

  • +8

Come on. It's not a blockbuster movie it's THE SECOND SEASON of a series already on the service.

Agreed with this. The new Borat movie is a bargain, especially as someone may sign up to Amazon Prime just for this. This isn't really a bargain at all.

      • And it's not even available yet…

      • Agree with the neg but not the reason.

    • But Mando and Child and nothing else on Disney+ worth a mention.

  • +2

    PSA, this is.

    A bargain, this is not.

    • +4

      I have spoken

  • Seriously? In the words of Sleepy Joe - “C’mon Man”

  • this is not a bargain.

    this is NOT the way.

  • I really don't need to see a post on ozbargain for each time something is added to any paid subscription service for anything.

    • There is an option to block subs

      • +2

Sorry, should have explained it better.

If something that is normally $X gets added to a certain sub for free or offered to people who have a certain sub for <X, whether temporarily or as a new permanent price reduction, in my book that's still a bargain. But if something that is normally $X gets added to a sub for $X, there's no bargain.

$10 game added to Game Pass for free = bargain
$10 movie added to Prime for $3.99 = bargain
$0 Netflix series added to Netflix for $0 = no bargain

Is there any way to filter out the latter without filtering out the former?

Yeah, thanks but that doesn't do what I want at all. My issue is not with the subscription requirement, it is with the lack of a bargain.

When a game which is usually available for $10 is added to Game Pass for free, that is a bargain (for Game Pass subscribers). I want to see that.

When a movie which is usually available for $10 is added to Disney+ for $9, that is a bargain (for Disney+ subscribers). I want to see that.

When a series which does not air anywhere except on Disney+ (where it always airs for an additional cost of $0), is added to Disney+ (for an additional cost of $0), that is not a bargain for anyone.

Again, the subscription requirement is not the issue here - if you made a post saying that $20 Bunnings gift cards are available for $20 somewhere, that would not be a bargain, and it still wouldn't be a bargain even if the store selling them required you to have a subscription before selling them to you.

        • Agree. I think Mods need to clarify what needs to happen.

        • Well said… This is not a bargain OP.

  • Besides Mando is there anything else worth it on Disney+ are the movies good enough?

    • +3

      Nope…

    • I imagine the Disney classics and such are there, was thinking of getting a trial for the niece

      • Some of the 1950s documentaries that I grew up with like The Vanishing Prairie are there.

A trial is worthwhile, however there isn't that much worth watching.

Folk here like the Borat but you don't like this ?
    I give up :)

    • I love this

    • That's why I posted it, to see.

  • +2

I get Borat being added to Amazon Prime, new movie, free to existing subscribers, but a new season for an exisiting exclusive show. Not a bargain.

    • -4

Yeah, but its the only good show on Disney+, so worth a mention.

  • +1

where's the bargain? no price in title, no savings indicated, Mandalorian has always been on Disney+ this is just 2nd season?

  • Baby Cart in Space.

  • +2

Well, if you wanted to make it yourself it would cost you $15m per episode, so $8.99/month is definitely cheaper.

    • +1

      making is different to watching…

  • +1

A new show on TV is not a bargain…

Did anyone post the ARL grand final on Channel 9 yesterday as a deal???

    • +2

Did anyone post the ARL grand final on Channel 9 yesterday as a deal???

I think you deliberately called it that to protest the 10% ( double the normal sports commission on Betfair ) lol .

  • Must watch

  • +2

As excited as I am for season 2, this isn't even an "Additions to Subscription Services", this is a continuation of something that was already on a subscription service.
