20% off fake converse. Who’s keen?!

    • Why would they be fake? As a fan of cons I would like to know more.

      • +14

I bought some that had weird brown glue and the inside material had a weird pattern on it. Took photos and sent to converse, they said the product was not genuine.

Maybe it was just one batch? Not sure. Wasn’t keen to buy more from there.

        • That's a (small) risk with lots of retailers, even Amazon. Who knows how many are fakes these days.

        • +5

Remember that Catch is a marketplace so you likely bought from a 3rd party seller. Did you report it to Catch?

          • +3

            @Clear: Yep

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Did you return for full refund?

              • +4

                @Borg: Yep

                • +1

@[Deactivated]: I have bought items off catch and not the marketplace where they have been fake brands . I reported it and they still kept selling it , no admittance of issues or anything. Just offered a refund that’s it. So other people would have kept buying them.

  • Cashback is ineligible when using codes not listed on Cashrewards.

Aww, no stacking with Student Beans

    • +11

      Can stack with Amex Cashback.

  • +3

spend max $125 to get max capped discount.. quick mafs

      • +1

Damnit! I just bought two of those catch connect plans last last night! I'm suffering heap big OzBargainers remorse )-:

        • +1

Yeah me too bro, me too :(

      • This is good idea. Few weeks ago I bought the $89 365days 60gb. This 20% off is so much better with double data

      • "You must activate your chosen prepaid plan on catchconnect.com.au within 30 days of purchase or by the date advertised on the promotion (whichever is earlier). Additionally, you must activate your Catch Connect SIM card within 24 months of purchase, otherwise the SIM card will be cancelled and any credit associated with it will be forfeited. Not transferable or redeemable for cash."

Does this have to be activated within 30 days or 24 months ?

    • Do they calculate on pre or post GST total?

    • I had it in my head it was $100, thanks for posting that to correct my brain (slightly)

  • Cashback is ineligible when store credit or gift cards are redeemed (spent) for either partial or full payment.

Can we buy giftcards though and get the cashback?

    • +1

      nope

You may not be eligible for Cashback:

      • If a gift card is purchased or used as payment.
      • +1

What about if you buy gift cards via the Catch mobile app, does double ineligible = eligible?

        • +3

LOL unfortunately, its also a nope :(

  • +1

    Can I combine with this (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/576488) ?

    • yes

      • Anyone was able to activate the 365 days Catch Mobile after 30 days? Thinking to buy and wouldn't activate it until end of March 2021.

        • I did after two months

          • @Pricebeat: While it's still at current price, why not? If it goes up and the deal is > 30 days old, they can demand the extra.

  • +1

Can we buy Catch Mobile ?

    • Yes but there isn't much on offer, here is the link however there is no 60GB 90 day $14.90 plan anymore so Kogan is better.

      • Ouch, expensive

      • My Kogan 90 day sims run out in a couple of weeks. What's the latest switch now that Belong and Catch have changed their plans?

        • I'm not convinced that Belong double data has ended if that's what you're referring to.

Even if it has you will still get 40GB 3 months, so it will get you through more than 30 days so you can port back to Kogan.

          • @Arthur Dunger: I meant that now Belong got rid of their $10 plan, it'll cost a lot more (or less time on Belong) seeing the cheapest plan they've got is $25 now. At least that is my understanding, as I've only ever done Kogan —> Catch, repeat

            • @usernameinvalid: You can move to the $10 plan after the 1st payment date. In other words the 2nd month will be $10.

              • @Arthur Dunger: According to the Belong website they only have two plans now - a $25 10GB/month and $40 10GB/month. Am I missing something?

        • +1

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/569781 if you don't need lots of data.

  • +3

Yes! two days before Amex offer expires!

  • +3

Potentially $125 for 32gb ram combined with amex offer of spend $150 get $30 back.
    https://www.catch.com.au/product/patriot-ddr4-32gb-2x16gb-32…

Do I need 64gb of ram?

    • +1

You could probably post that as a separate deal, and people would upvote. I don't have Amex…

      • +1

Someone already has but it got really buried.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/574802

I've been negged and borderline harassed for past deals which included coupons and promotions etc so not keen to repeat it. The one I'm thinking of was a bit convoluted though.

        • +4

yeah fair enough. OzB can be a strange/wonderful/angry place ;)

  • +2

Anything good? I've been holding onto a GC for months now but can't find anything worth buying.

    • +1
      • Cashback is ineligible when store credit or gift cards are redeemed (spent) for either partial or full payment
      • +1

Yeah, that's fine, I just want to use my GC and this is the perfect thread to ask

  • "Cashback is ineligible when using codes not listed on Cashrewards." so I can not use StudenBeans/UNiDAYS 10% code?

    • +8

You can if you like, but it either won't track or will be declined by Catch. For those unaware, UNiDAYS is an affiliate just like Cashrewards and other rewards sites. Catch will only pay commission to one publisher. Your choice :)

  • Dammit just bought Lego last night using the Amex deal. Ah well more Lego to buy tonight

    • What lego you getting?
Was going to get the Gingerbread House but that either sold out quick or disappeared.

      • Me too!. I logged in at 8:20pm and it wasn't there anymore… not sure if was snapped up by others or disappeared before 8pm.

  • Barely anything in stock for the ASICS Kayanos, unless your shoe size is 8 US. Bummer.

  • Cannot find a good ssd deal

  • Cashback is ineligible for purchases made via the Catch mobile app.

    but also

feel free to try our recently updated mobile app(join.cashrewards.com.au)

    • +2

Two different apps. The Cashrewards app ensures you remain within its ecosystem and won't open the Catch app. The term regarding the Catch app references members that choose to shop via a mobile browser (Safari, Chrome etc) where in fact they may inadvertently open the Catch app. Hope this helps and makes sense.

    • +2

2 different apps, one is Catch, the other is CashRewards.
      Edit: beaten

  • Signed up for ClubCatch. It says all ‘Marketplace’ items ship for free with ClubCatch. I added a Marketplace item to my cart and the shipping is still $8.95. Anyone know about this?

    • It says all ‘Marketplace’ items ship for free with ClubCatch

      Source?

    • No way, even catch as the seller, you still need to spend 45 to get free delivery

      • For Boozebud, free shipping is available for a minimum spend of $40

  • +1

Cashback + Amex = Whisky time!

  • Nice, but don't know what to buy

  • Any good deal on a budget Android phone? Decent camera and rain resistance preferably.

      • Thanks for that. Thinking to buy a replacement phone for a friend whose Galaxy Note 9 is playing up.

Is the A52 a reasonable stand in for it? I don't know her exact requirements but definitely she wants good camera and some water resistance (under rain a lot).

        • I am unsure about water resistance. They can install Gcam app on it to make the camera even better. This phone is voted second best under $300 on Ozbargain, getting it for under $200 is pretty good I guess.

  • Nice try

  • +2

Does it work on Marketplace items TA ?

    • Why not? Anything on catch.com.au

  • Just has to be while I’m at work, doesn’t it?

  • Havent purchased via catch before… what exactly is store credit? and how to i disable it…. i want to purchase something but its faciliated by Bing Lee which seems to automatically added a $10 store credit onto my summary. I'd like to take the cashrewards 20% instead…

    • You can disable it as far as I know

      • How to disable it?

        • sorry mean't to type can't*

          • @Pricebeat: Ah I thought so. Any ideas how best to get rid of the $10 store credit?

      • You will need yo contact/chat with customer service. They will remove it manually and add back in later date.

  • So will a code be provided to take advantage of this offer?

Or do we pay "full price" then cashrewards does the cashback later on?

    • +2

Where have you been hiding over the years?

  • Capped -_- Can the cap be higher next time? $250?

    • TA would be the new Santa lol

      • Yup… Now to wait and see what Shopback does

  • +1

Any ideas how to best get rid of $10 store credit on account?

    • You will need yo contact/chat with customer service. They will remove it manually and add back in later date.

  • +3

Remember cashback isn't payable on the Gst component of the purchase price.

The effective cashback rate off the retail price will be ~18.2%.

  • Hi Rep, do I get 20% cashback on the complete order (including shipping) ?

    • "You may not earn Cashback on GST, freight, delivery fees and taxes.", so no unfortunately

      So:
      minus GST
      minus Shipping
      minus Services
      minus Exclusions

      • Thanks plague69.

Why does it say may though? Would be nice to get a solid yes/no answer. :) May be rep can chime in?

  • Is using Unidays promo code still eligible for this cash back?

    • no

  • Would this include Catch Connect?

  • Not eligible with gift cards? Not eligible with unidays? Capped at $25? Damn I was waiting on one of these to get a trampoline :(

  • Any good blender anyone can recommend?

  • Literally just bought a $120 item fml.

  • Kinda thinking of getting this for upcoming summer… https://m.catch.com.au/product/maxkon-3-in-1-portable-evapor… really wish there's review on this though

    • +2

Got one from kmart a long time ago, evaporating cooler is such a scam. This increases humidity in the room, combined with the hot air makes you feel worse. There’s science behind it, look it up

      • +2

They are fantastic in dry climates. Inland Australia, they are great! But in coastal or humid areas, well, that's not what they were designed for.
