I'm of "south indian" heritage, so anyone with that is going to lol at this movie. Shymalan seems to have gotten most of friends etc roles as extras. Dev Patel (hotel marigold, lion etc…) has to rage almost every time he speaks. I had to pause the movie when he spoke for the first time because it was so overdone. If the graphics and a few other things could be tweaked, then it probably would have been taken more seriously.
I saw Ghost in the Shell a few weeks ago, I really liked it - had no idea what to expect, don't read or watch Japanese cartoons but thought it was a decent action movie.
yep, if that was your intro to it, then it would seem better.

Yeah this was great esp a step up from streetfighter the movie but hey as a kid back then I enjoyed it.
I revisited this movie a decade or so ago and Raul Julia as Bison delivered one of my favourite lines… A line I didn't find all that amusing back then but I do now.

This series is actually very good ‘b’ grade style TV. Rotten tomatoes has the series sitting at 93% posting reviews. So it’s definitely not bad.

I actually watched this movie for the very first time about 2 weeks ago. My father-in-law randomly put it on after a few drinks and I had no idea what was going to happen.
I don't think I have laughed harder at a movie in several years, it was genuinely brilliant if you accept that the movie is supposed to be stupid. For the record, i am 29 and this movie is older than I am.
