  • $20 for sugarfree v + shipping doesnt sound that good to me supermarkets often put them on for $1 each and sometimes that is the 500ml cans.

    • Agree… You'd have to make the most of the capped shipping rate.. So stock up.. lols

    • Yep! If there's only one or two things that appeal to you in this set up you won't find value.

72x Mars Bars BB 21 Nov
    $19.00

Now could i eat them all before they turn white!

    • I would imagine they won't turn white for months and months. They've been stored in cardboard boxes, in a reasonably dry, temperature steady environment. It's no guarantee, but chocolate kept under these conditions is generally good for a long long time after the BB

      Dude…dude…

If they do, sell them on ebay and say they are a Michael Jackson limited edition. I mean…it's not the first thing that's ever gone white in this world.

Shipping kinda kills it. Unless you're buying butt-loads.

    • Pickup is available in Sydney for everything, Brisbane for a random selection. We understand shipping can be a killer. I just want Mars Bars in Brisbane!

Not buying from Jerry Harvey on principal. FREE would be a rip-off from that group!

    • Ouch! ;P

    Where are the prawns? :)

Sorry, delivery too expensive and Auburn too far away.

    • Forgiven

Why isn't Springvale (Vic) listed as a location?
The sign out the front says it's a Harvey Norman Big Buys store.

    • Hi! The reason for this is that the Springvale location is still pretty new, and they aren't currently set up to run pickups. It will happen, but it's just not available yet

harvey norman has a rep? shocking! that against Gerry's principles

    • It's probably more accurate to say that Harvey Norman BiG BUYS has a rep. I'm already hanging out on OzB and know most of the products backwards. Thanks for the shock?

      • +3

well looks like the harveynorman website is also selling products online. so Gerry has truly turned on his own principles

        • +1

Gerry: "retail sector blah blah WTB moar GST rhar rhar can't compete QQ QQ"
          Kogan: "You're doin' it wrong."

errrm me thinks you need to buy for the whole street to make up the shipping…………….

    • -2

Considering it covers all of Australia we don't think it's too unreasonable. We know that people aren't a fan of anything over $10 though, and it's just one of those things that we keep trying to work towards but can't currently do. Thanks for the feedback

  • yeah shipping is a joke and so is the pickup location

    • -3

      Thanks for your feedback

edit x2: Had originally posted a joke, changed my mind

oztrez, I have to give you a tip of the hat for keeping cool in what must be a stressful job: posting to OzBargain. :) Oh well, better luck next time.

    • +1

Not that stressful! The other option is to not be here at all, and I'd prefer to be able to pass on all the feedback and respond to questions. Many of the complaints and suggestions made on here already been made internally (by myself or others) and it just gives extra momentum to getting things changed. When I say "Thanks for your feedback" it reads like I'm being a condescending a$$hat, but even the negative feedback comes in handy when presenting changes. Anyway, thanks for your feedback! ;)

  • Not just 95g canned tuna, but Safcol 95g canned tuna for 80 cents a can!

Safcol is the best canned tuna around!

  • The Powerball dishwasher soap seems a good bargain, anyone has experience in the quality?

    • All Powerball stock comes from the same factory, the only annoying thing about these (and this is with Australian branded All-in1 as well) is that you have to unwrap the little guys instead of the clear dissolvable wrappers on the MAX ones

  • guys are the alkaline batteries any good? i've never bought those bulk pack of batteries before.. but i've seen them at bunnies/costco.. just wondering how HNBB's deal is compared to others

    48x AA/AAA for $25

    • Can't comment on the price, I'll leave that for someone impartial, but these are regular Duracell batteries that you'd find at the supermarket, they're just South East Asian stock so the packets are a little bit different.

  • Once pickup becomes available from the Springvale store I'll be really happy as I'm 10 mins away.

oztrez do you know when it will happen - weeks, months?

    • Currently the "plan" is before Christmas? Fingers crossed. The only issue that will remain is we're still working out what stock lives where, so not all the stock will be at Springvale in the short term. But it's happening

Great, thanks for the update oztrez :)
