I was looking for a Standing Desk and I came across this deal in Groupon. This is FRAME ONLY and you need to purchase a table top to go on top of this frame.
Only the Model 4 is available (the rest sold out) and for BLACK is $339; other colors (white and Grey) are $369. It is 125KG weight rated and accept up to 2m in length tabletop size.

I am thinking to use this frame with Bunning Acacia Solid Oiled Hardwood Project Panel cost $99 (You need to DIY/Cut the panel to the correct length)- Link to Bunning for this solid hardwood tabletop.

It is Artiss Brand. As I just received the product (via Budget hire van on Saturday 7:35pm for some weir reason) 07 Nov 20- 4 days from the day I ordered.
Also the warranty is 12 months replied directly from Groupon. Everything so far look ok.

23 Nov 20- Got an email from Groupon regarding the shipping of the wrong model (HASD-240-BK). They offered me a $95 refund for the 2 of the table lift. So after the discount of $45 per item my total price to each table lift is $294 + Shipping.

I end up accepting the offer of partial refund; let hope that the smaller weight limit and smaller length different wont have an effect on the motor life.

        Moters arent loud (well they are what I expect them to sound like?)

        I have a 27" and a 24" monitor with arms, 2 speakers and a heavy af keyboard, laptop, dac, amp. No issues on weight.

        Sturdy is a weird thing. I dont have alot to compare against, and mine is in the corner of the room but yes its fine/good.

      Ikea sell tabletops. You can even buy individual components from wardrobes etc and use them.

      Or go to a disposals place and get an old solid core door

    I bought a sit stand desk in June from ikea (idasen). Even though I paid $799 for it, it’s the best desk I have owned. Back problem/sciatica gone.

    Don't be fooled by the RRP of these desk frames. What I can say is that I owe 2 of the Dual Motor model frames and installed my own top on both. It's a good product and well worth the $370 each that I paid for it eBay. I remember doing my research and that was a good price for dual motor model. However you can normally get them in the high 300 and low 400 pretty much at any time. Good deal nonetheless.

        The frame itself is very solid. The top will only be as solid as what you put on it. From what I recall the fixings that came with the frame to fix the top with we're good quality.

        No wobble on my desk. If there is any it's from the uneven floor in my office not the frame. I have a single 28" monitor mounted of an arm and it doesn't seem to have any impact of the frame+desk levels. I really have no complaints and am very happy with them.

        PS. Mine was branded Artiss but I'm pretty confident the same frame gets sold under different names or no name.

    anyone know how sturdy they are?
    tested a few ikea and OW ones - with a slight downward body pressure onto the table top, some ended up wobbling like no tomorrow - no way am I putting my monitor on there lol

      You get what you pay for. I personally use a zenspace desk and even that thing wobbles a little at very high levels and it's considered to be rated as a top tier sturdiness product. Though I no longer notice it as much as time goes on. Other good options for sturdiness include updown desk. I have tried the ikea options, other than the idasen they are awful.

    my experience:

    I bought one of these, one of the items (transmitting rod) was missing from the package. for 3 months I was sending them email to send me the rod. the customer service was terrible… they were just saying thank you for understanding and patience ! they couldn't send me the missing item and eventually I lost my patience and asked for a refund (through paypal)… it took 1 more month and they said they are sending me the rod… I waited a week and they sent me a power cable!!! I was on fire on that day… and then finally they processed my refund through paypal !

    I'd suggest avoid if you care about customer service. they are one of the worst!

    I bought the same model and put together with a IKEA Idasken 120X70 brown table top bought for 89$ and it was amazing. I have a noise issue with the frame which i received, its working but a friction noise is coming. Overall happy with the price have a 32 inch monitor fitted on that and very good for occasional standup meetings.

    I ended up with a Zenspace desk which I would highly recommend for anyone who wants a bit more of a higher quality sit stand desk and willing to pay double of this one but I thought I would share the link of a spreadsheet someone made on Ozbargain of the different options.       I too have a zen space desks one and would also recommend it. I did have an issue with it but the MD got in touch with me and all sorted.

      The desk itself is awesome, have a 34 ultrawide and a 27inch mounted on arms on it, solid as a rock. I went the ergo edge as it gives you a nice angled surface to lean on and love it.

    Couple of questions, for those who have bought this:

    1. What's your experience with the stability of these desks?

    - My current Ikea (fixed height) is slightly unstable but I think that's due to having heavy load (bookshelf speakers + two big monitors) on a standard thickness Ikea table top.
    - From US-based sources, they usually talk recommend a desk frame with a crossbar for added stability - doesn't look nice but will do the job. Unfortunately you don't see these on any of the desks seen here (Example link: https://www.workwhilewalking.com/what-makes-some-standing-de…)

    1. Does anyone know where I can find a comparison chart of all the different models available? Once you filter out all the dual motor ones, it's hard to tell them apart (like why do some cost more than the others they offer here)

    2. Has anyone had any experience between these desks vs the other brands (Omnidesk, ZenSpaceDesks, etc)?

    I bought a similar frame to model 1/5 from Myer online in April and placed an IKEA Bekent tabletop (160*80) on it. The frame was Artiss brand(was $265) and the tabletop cost was$89 so for $354 got a height adjustable desk. So far it has been great for the price. The only drawbacks are it doesn't have the memory preset function(I would highly recommend getting this) and just slightly wobbly at full height (might due to the larger tabletop I choose). I haven't noticed an issue with the single motor, might just take a little longer to go up and down. I wouldn't recommend putting a very heavy solid tabletop on this as mentioned in the post and be prepared to spend some time assembling this (buy a cheap screwdriver)

        IKEA Bekent tabletop is a solid one so it will be ok to mount monitor arms, just beware there are few IKEA table tops made with hollow paper patterns inside like LINNMON table top which will not be suitable for weights over time.

    I've used the same Acacia tabletop for a desk for about 5 years or so now, it's been pretty good. I went with it initially as I wanted a wide desk, so kept it at the 2200mm length without problems. Only things I would say about it are it would be nice if it was about 100mm deeper and that you need to treat the whole surface with something. I left it raw initially for the first 3 years or so and it became kind of dirty and dull.

    Ended going with a polyurethane coat on it which has kept it nice. It loses the raw wood feel but it's much harder wearing now and easier to keep clean.

    I've been looking to get one of these for a while now. Could not figure out 1 thing.
    There frames list max support for length of tabletop as up to 180 cm (or this one with 200 cm)
    My table top is 246cm (IKEA BARKABODA).
    If I put this frame, my tabletop will have 23cm overhang on each side.
    Will that be too big of an issue? Will it make it slightly unstable?

    If anyone has used these on IKEA 246cm countertops, would love to hear how it is going for you?

    I have triple monitor setup and tend to go a bit heavy with the load (but will be lower than the max 120kg rated load).

      Yeah I'm thinking the same thing, I have a 34" UW and 2 x 24".. Easily be under maximum weight, but does the side overhang harm? I've ordered and hoping for the best.. I'm actually thinking to use a solid core door, preprimed so paint to suit, found a cheap second hand one off marketplace in new condition, the door handle location is perfect for cables too. Just need to think about it more!

    Awesome, I only need 1m wide desk, 60cm depth is the max I can go for my space…anyone interested in getting the Bunnings hardwood and cutting it clean in half? We'd both get 110cm each. I'm in Sydney.

    Any other suggestions for a standing desk that's only 1m wide and 60 deep? Do I still need dual motors if it is smaller and hence weighing less?

    Got the model 1 from Amazon for $220 last year link to frame only.

    Got a $15, 1m wide table top from Officeworks to go with.

    Pretty quiet operation. Better than spending $170 for a manual.

    RRP are not real at all.

        I am using https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/saeljan-worktop-oak-effect-lami… (186cm length) , no problem for me. This worktop might be a bit narrow for somebody, you might like to check in ikea store first, but I don't recommend to put a wide worktop as motorised stands are not as sturdy as normal ones. You may also need to be aware of the weight if you choose the hardwood worktops (you can check that in the product details section, for example SÄLJAN is 24 kg), overweighting can decrease the lifespan of the motors.

      Actually that is not a bad choice for deep desk, I prefer hardwood but pine is fine. You need to stain, vanish or paint the top. Also you can get Bunning to cut it down for you at the store.

          what specs are lower?

          The only thing i noticed is the one advertised has a lower minimum height (62cm) which means better ergonomic range.

          seeing as how the packing seems quite elaborate, i might have to identify which one they sent me so I can send it back without all the hassle.

              The extra 20cm of length is important to me, so it'd be good to get one that actually is right. (Yes I could probably just do it, but I'd prefer to not have them use it against me if it causes an issue).

                @teebrooks: Groupon have accepted a return and refund. The delay between emails is quite long and I'm still waiting for confirmation on when they are going to collect from home. No doubt the actual processing of refund will take ages even after they receive the item.

                Overall this has been such a waste of time dragged out close to a month.

      Same here, got HASD-204-WH and decided to keep it as I don't think I will get anything better for this price. It's more stable than four Ikea legs I had before. Will probably buy this to compensate for the missing cable rack: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/signum-cable-trunking-horizonta…
      Info on the Internet is somewhat conflicting. Some sellers have HASD-204 same as the one listed in the Groupon ad, others - the one we are actually getting.

    Received my HASD-204-BK version today via TOLL… A+ so far for handling and fast shipping…

    Put the frame together this arvo. Only took about 20 minutes. Very simple..

    First thoughts is that this thing is tough and well built. Heavy feet and crossbar which really adds to the stability.

    I was a bit worried about the two tiny supporting crossbars which didn't seem to do much but once you put the top on it is very sturdy, although I probably wouldn't sit on it…

    Starting height is 69cm which is plenty low for me and my family of giants. I was more concerned about the height which I am happy to say that after I set it up for my 6'6" fat arse there is plenty of height left.

    One downside is that there is no cable management apart from a couple of 3M cable ties so you may want to invest if one of those if you are planning to run an electronics shop from this thing.

    For $330 this is another great OZ buy..!

    I'm going to be pretty bummed if I get the HASD-204-BK, the main features I was interested in were width and high lifting capacity.

    I received a tracking number via text that was being delivered to Croydon, then received another one which was out for delivery in syd yesterday, but has been scanned in Melbourne this morning.

    Something else to differentiate, the model 4 has 3 sections to the leg that telescope out of the top, where the HASD-204-BK looks like it has 2 sections and they telescope from the bottom?

      Yeah - I think we received an older model?

      The cross beam is only one (albeit very sturdy) metal pole, where the model shows two beams. This is what irks me the most.

    Yep same as the others. Ordered the Model 4 and got the HASD-204-WH (I got white legs).

    Kudos to those who are happy with it anyway, but it was falsely advertised and not at all what I needed (particularly in regards to width and weight capacity).

    Spoke to Groupon via live chat yesterday, and emailed some photographs of the box and instructions through as requested. Got an email this morning saying it has been escalated to the management team. We'll see what happens.

    I'll just be going with a Zen Space desk I reckon - better specs and 10 years warranty.
