  Does anyone know where to find hazelnut spread with more than 13% hazelnuts? Coles had a premium hazelnut spread with 30% hazelnut, but they discontinued it.

    This has 36% hazelnut.

    Mayver has a hazelnut and cashew cacao with 57% hazelnut but the taste is a but different to typical hazelnut spread. It's more nutty/salty

    Its actually pretty easy to make some at home if you have a food processor.

    1. 400gm nuts

    2. Sweetner of choice or can be left out.
       Popular ones are honey , coconut sugar, sugar, cane syrup, maple syrup. Adjust accordingly or leave out if adding chocolate.

    3. Optional: pinch of salt.

    4. 100-150g Chocolate, at least 45% cocoa solids. Melted.

    Step 1: Roast nuts in oven at 180c 8 mins until it smells nice.

    Step 2: Blitz blitz blitz.
    Be patient. Will take about 10 - 15 mins to form nut butter.

    Step 3: Add melted chocolate

    Your yummy nut butter is ready. Cool and pour in a clean jar.

    Enjoy!

      also take note that some food processors are not designed to run that long and you can quickly burn out your motor. Better to run it in short bursts, let your motor cool down again and then restart

        Correct. I assumed everyone would know that. :)

        Small bursts of few mins and then cool down needed. Refer the instruction manual for your food processor please.
