Been on a lookout for a higher end laptop for months now - almost pulled the trigger for the recent $1,999 Razer Blade Stealth 4K 10th Gen i7 + 16GB RAM+ 512GB SSD on Microsoft Ebay store but decided against it due to battery life.

Full HD+ for a 13.4" is good enough I think given that this will primarily be a laptop for work and a 4K display is overkill with some 1 to 2 hours of impact to battery life.

I am so close in pulling the trigger (has been 2 days lol) but not sure if it's a decent enough of a deal given that Black Friday & Cyber Monday are upon us - historically, 20% off from my brief search BUT estimated delivery is 25 to 28 business days!

Add Dell Premier Sleeve 13 PE1320V Fits for XPS 13 2in1 7390 and 9300 for $44.20 (RRP $68 - 35% off) - https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/accessories/apd/460-BCEZ

  • Anti-glare vs Anti-reflective: which is better for viewing? (imagining I wanted to pay the extra little bit)

    • +1

Unclear to be honest - I think this might the Matte version as opposed to the touch screen options which are apparently Gorilla Glass 6 i.e will be more reflective

      • I appreciate the input!

          You buying one?!

I've been at the checkout page for the past 2 hours lmao

Anti glare is matte and anti reflective is glossy

      • Yep, thanks mate!

  • Unfortunately reviews don't look very promising based a couple of recent ones of the XPS Tiger Lake 11th Gen.

I'm thinking it's a Dell issue. Not an Intel issue. I have the inspiron i7 and the performance feels great in games, but I haven't personally benched it. A newer (updated driver's?) non-dell performance review with decent performance: https://youtu.be/fo8l66sHnpI?t=335

It thermally throttles quite quickly. If he's playing on a flat surface, it'll go downhill very quickly in something this thin.

Dell's quality control is completely garbage. My first laptop simply didn't power on. And my second one doesn't charge properly. Dell is still trying to resolve this after a month.

I recommend not buying a Dell. Since they went public again seems they're back to their old junk ways.

    • I'd corroborate reviews. This guys is always biased towards Dell and Pro Lenovo

    • I just bought this one (although got it cheaper with bonus7 coupon and got extra premium service free too). It works fine on normal day to day tasks. Of course depends on the usage. The performance with this tiny machine and anything else will drop if the CPU is pushed to the limit.

2.3k for a lappie and it doesn't even have a dedicated graphics card

These XPS are hyped up so bad it's not funny. I see it on a TV ad everytime I come out of my office to go to the bathroom at work.

    • All I saw was the FHD screen for 2.9K retail and laughed. I’m an Apple fanboy so am use to paying a premium but this is ridiculous.

    • it doesn't even have a dedicated graphics card

Because it's very thin and would only fit a crappy MX card which is a waste of time

    • I see it on a TV ad everytime I come out of my office to go to the bathroom at work.

I want to know more about this. Why are dell ads constantly playing on your work toilet tv? Why do you have work toilet tv?

      • Maybe he works in a shopping centre? They often have advertising in their toilets.

    • You say that as if everyone wants/needs a dedicated graphics card, especially in such a small device with 13" display.
