    Technically speaking you have most probably have not been charged, its just an authorisation as in the merchant as kept the money on hold from your account. The merchant has around 7 days to charge your card, that is when the authorisation is changed to charge and the money is sent to the merchant.

        @sauce2k: They do that. If you look at your previous Amazon transactions, you will see two dates, one is the authorization date and then couple of days later you will see processed date which is the actual charge.
        
        It's up to your bank app how they show these dates, maybe your bank does not show them.

Seriously these console sellers don't understand chasing profits thoroughly like prioritising shipping to Eastern States Metro Areas instead of this first in best dress crap losing $$$$$$$$ to remote locations . Smart big business ( yes in real life they do it ) just cancel orders to these places . I think I know what is coming :)

Anyone heard anything from Harvey Norman? I've been told they have no information on when they'll get stock. Yet EB, JB, Amazon etc are all starting to ship units. Bit salty that I ordered and paid in full in September and there's still no news.

    it depends on the rep. never directly ask for a voucher, ask for compensation (but not straight up). you gotta explain your story. I said that people with delivery dates after mine (18-21), got theirs shipped earlier. and caused a fuss about how terrible their queue system is. rep probs got annoyed so gave me a voucher

Mine just shipped as well, showing delivery date 10 December. Not sure where it's shipped from, but if from Moorbank I don't understand how can it take two weeks when I'm located in Sydney? Before when I get shipping notification from Moorebank it's usually next day, maybe two, but not two weeks.

I would bet my left nut almost 99% sure our orders that just shipped (mine is disc version) are coming directly from Sony warehouse hence not getting it till the 10th, but knowing Amazon anything is possible and I reckon it'll be here before the 10th possibly.

  Not sure if this applies to PS5, but i have ordered stuff from amazon for my baby and received it within 24 hrs over last 2-3 days, one came in today on a Sunday. All of them delivered by ppl in private cars. Aust Post have certainly increased ground forces to tackle the christmas storm.

Mine just shipped from Amazon too. Original ETA was 17 Dec - I ordered on launch day.

Somewhat disappointingly it's shipped by Aus Post - I've found Amazon's own delivery tends to be quicker.

regional qld, my launch ps5 disk version might be arriving today!!!!!!! it said eta 18th, and then changed to the 7th about a few days after my card charged. it still says the 7th on amazon but i entered my tracking number into auspost and it's estimated to arrive today or tommorrow, but i think today bc it's at the final facility (15-20 mins away) before things ship to me. i have work but hopefully i will be home before its out for delivery…. im crazy excited

    So that would put us at end of Feb 2021 if you want a PS5 - with consideration for the Christmas holidays/public holidays coming up + companies that shut over the Christmas period for a break then the time it takes shipment of product to get into Australia from Sony. It’s December in a day and nothing new has been mentioned apart from every retailer saying the same thing “not until next year” and now Sony themselves have just come out and said it themselves.

  You'll find people create "revenge bidding bots" that just constantly raise the prices of these listings to exorbitant amounts with no intent of actually paying. Forces the seller to go through the eBay process of cancelling and having to relist over and over again. If anyone actually pays that much for a PS5 then they have more money than sense!

    Na that’s easy to get around, you send the the new/fake bidding account an email stating they understand that payment is to be made as soon as auction has ended and give them 12 hours to respond to the email, if they don’t respond chances are it’s a fake ebay account and you simply add them to your block list and can delete their bid then go into settings and turn on the action that prevents 0 ranked ebayers to bid on your item.
    
    It’s really quite simple.

I'm still surprised no retailers are offering deposits now for 2021 shipments. I'm not fussed when I get a second digital unit for my wife to use, I'd just like to have a payment made and know I was in a line somewhere.
