Hey Guys. After the praise for the Amazon Au deal of $140 for this item, I thought I'd share this find, which is a tad cheaper.
Don't have much time to write more, but a great board at a great price.

yes but not till next year.
If the rumoured 5600 is released in January at $220 USD it will be a cracker combo
Not right now, but MSI is meant to release a bios update to support Zen 3 by Jan 2021. It supports USB bios flashing so you don't need a CPU to update the bios. This is one of the best B450M (mATX) boards, but I would also note that unless you specifically need mATX you are probably better off buying one of the decent MSI B450 ATX boards (Gaming Pro Carbon, Tomahawk, Gaming Plus, B450-A Pro) for like $10 more.

I'm thinking of selling my I7 7700 and 2400mhz ram and getting a 3600 with a board and 3200mhz ram.. Then get a 5xxx cpu later. Firstly, is it worth upgrading as it will only cost me like $50. Secondly, is this a nice board to have. Not sure what the diff in the B450, X, Z series etc.
Well for starters Z is intel so don’t do that for AMD.

I have this board. For those considering CPU overclocking, just a warning that it has what I would consider serious Vdroop and LLC mode issues.
If you're aiming at overclocking it's better to spend the extra on the X570 platform so you can push it harder. These b550 chipsets don't have as much cooling heatsinks and use lower quality components than X570.
Cooling is not the issue. Google B450M Vdroop. It's a design flaw. Lower quality motherboards can achieve better OC's than the B450M.
For me Vdroop is good with the latest bios with LLC set to auto
However my ram voltage needed to be + 0.02 volts for the board to be stable
(4 sticks of 3600mhz C16 , R5 3600 @4.3ghz @1.175v )

RushoYes I got that combo goes very well together (and G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 3200MHz)
Boot up/post times are like 16-17s but that's the nature of the CPU i think.
