$100 Cash When Switching Electricity & Gas Providers through Billcrunch

clickfrenzy

Click Frenzy!

Get $100 when switching Gas and Electricity through Billcrunch (or $50 for just Gas or Electricity) .

Fully digital service with no call centres, just an easy compare and switch service. No need to contact your old provider, we will do all the leg work for you!

Had some feedback from the last campaign we ran where users wanted to add Direct Debit details into the system directly, so we've added that.

We don't have all the providers yet (we are working on it !) but currently at 15 and have most of the better rated retailers here.
You can do a quick scan at https://www.energymadeeasy.gov.au/ or https://compare.energy.vic.gov.au/ also to make sure you're going to be in the ballpark with our provider list.

Few benefits of Billcrunch

  • Do it once, and it's done forever. We'll let you know if there is a better plan available in the future so you don't need to do the shopping around again.
  • Once you've switched via that link, you'll get a personal referral code that you can refer others. Refer your family and friends and earn up to $50 (dual fuel) or $30 (single fuel) for every person who switches under your unique code. Refer your parents siblings neighbours etc and earn a few extra bucks :)
  • You'll be able to cash out your rewards directly to your bank account, bit like using CashRewards.

Couple of notes

  • You'll need to be with the service for at least 31 days to complete the reward claim. (Just to make sure people are not gaming the system).
  • You'll need to use this link to switch https://go.billcrunch.com.au/r/clickfrenzy to get the $100 reward amount.
This is part of Click Frenzy deals for 2020

  • Just my feedback - seems pretty useless in comparing costings. Doesn't compare base rates nor connection costs. Merely gives you an overarching estimate.

    • Thanks for the feedback!
We do indeed compare base rates, but not 'new' connection costs. This is something to put into our roadmap (generally speaking, it's heavily offset by the sign up bonus we provide).

  • According to ACCC all energy comparison services are scams. The scam is they inform the sites users that they are seeing a list of the lowest priced providers while showing them a list of the highest paying commissions while brainwashed morons insist that this leads to cheaper prices.

The comparison sites run by government are a different kind of scam where the plans are pulled from a "special pool" - that's the regulator's words - that doesn't compete with normal plans. If you think these scams are effective in lowering prices then you are maintaining the position that prices would be even higher without their operation which seems unlikely.

    • Hi Diji1,
Appreciate the sentiment - there have been numerous players in the market that have had some troubles with stack ranking players based on what is better for their hip pockets.
Billcrunch receives a commission that we pass (majority) onto the users - and that commission is the same amount across all of our providers. We have no incentive elevate one over the other, other than what is best for our customers.

The CAC costs for these retailers is actually quite high - they use services like Billcrunch to acquire customers at a lower cost. They also have no incentive to 'Scam' their potential customers, as they are pitting their offerings against other retailers. They need to be competitive or they won't acquire customers from that particular channel.

At the end of the day though - it needs to work for you ! So feel free to run the numbers like a lot of Ozbargainers do, and if it works - awesome! If not - no stress :)

    • Do you have a link to where the Australian Energy Regulator said that they're pulled from a special pool?

My understanding was that companies were required to keep EME up to date and no pulling is taking place at all.

I know when I've been searching for new plans recently, most providers when you dig into their plan details, link directly to EME.

  • Just tried doing a search on the website, doesnt look like solar FIT and solar daily charge is showing in there until I go to EME?
