I recently bought this monitor, and it's not good for productivity use - the text is 'blurry' and fuzzy and the worst amongst three monitors and three laptops I have to compare with.

It was so bad I wrote this thread asking for suggestions, and tried a lot of things which helped a little bit, but the reality is this is a bad monitor, and for productivity it's really noticeable. I think it's okay for gaming but would avoid for reading.

Strange, I don't have that issue. Are you running it at native res and are you using any scaling in windows?

      • +1

4k native res .. 125% scaling - it's too small to use at 100% - all the details in the thread!

Do you have this exact monitor?

        • Yes I have this monitor. I use 150% scaling though. I find sometimes Office products cause blurry / fuzziness issues. Using Chrome atm and its sharp.

          • @twisti: I tried different scaling settings and at 100% it didn't fix it .. maybe this is a bad panel.

What do you use the computer for?

            • @bono: That's an issues with windows dpi scaling. Suggesting playing with dpi setting of affected apps

    • I also bought it from a previous deal. My experience has been the opposite, running macOS at what looks like scaled 1440p (ie. internally rendered at 5120x2880)

Even though it’s not perfect integer scaling the screen looks tack sharp in everything. It’s likely Windows scaling which is known to make things blurry for high DPI displays.

      • Thanks for the idea. The other monitor next to it connected to the same computer appears at normal sharpness so I'm not sure if that's the issue and I tested changes to scaling before, yet I will check again.

Then for the right sizing it needs to be 125% as if it's 150 then I lose screen real estate, and if it's 100 then the text elements are too small.

      • I'm beginning to wonder if the panel in my monitor is just defective.

  • So with the cashback it doesn't work if you use LOVEKEANU code? would that be correct?

also agree 55 days is unacceptable …

  • You can also get the Dell 27 Gaming Monitor - S2721HGF (VA panel - 1920 x 1080 at 144 Hz) for $278.29
