Anyone know if this large enough to be effective for a 16m² study?

Yep. Bought one as Son's cheap fan just broke. Thought it was time to try one of thr Dyson's
Seems reasonablely compact compared to the others. Good to know about running cost. The filter is expensive, but doesn't need to be changed for about 12months. The unit supposedly tells you when to replace it.
Note, this doesn't having an air-cooling/conditioning function. It is simply a fancy fan.
