So minus all the hyperbole, the real offer here is:
50% off the full/standard price of any hosting, discount only applies for as long as you have paid up front in one go (max length 1 year in advance).

The rest is fluff.

      Kinda. We want people to bring their existing pre-paid services across to us, and we'll give them credit for what they've pre-paid their current web host. If they really want to go and pay someone else THEN come to us, they can but it'd be silly. :)

      Silly except they would now have paid one company $x for hosting with them for a year, then they get the same hosting with you as well and can still continue using the other hosting they paid for.
      
      I mean if you're serious about honoring this offer yeah it's hard to dispute it's a good offer but it seems more like it was poorly thought out than anything.
