    hmm, this or a PS5?

Depends on the type of experience you're after. Real street racing or racing simulators?

    • Why not both?

    • Autobarn has way better discounts every now and then on Blackvue - 10% is pretty crap

  • Is there a firmware you can flash to old phones to do exactly that? Then you could have this for well under half the price.

the issue is heat isnt it. dashcams are more rugged

    • There are apps you can download that will do just that, but continuous recording heats up your phone and the lithium battery as well.

It shortens the lifespan of your device considerably.

Would u pay 700+ for a dash cam?

    • Paid my DR900 2ch for $500. But yeah $700 is too much.

    • Nope

      • They are seriously overpriced.
Most people also have a mobile phone mount in their car, little do they realise it can be recording too…

        • Recording with your phone daily would destroy your phones battery life long term…
But yeah agreed - dash cams can be ridiculously overpriced!

  • I paid $559.30 for the 32GB model back in June when Autobarn had dashcams discounted at 30%.

I am no dashcam aficionado, but if you have been waiting for a sale on this particular model, keep waiting.

  • Definitely not the cheapest… wait for the usual 20-30% off at Repco discounts plus cashback!

I paid around $500 for mine back in May using this:

Could even be some increased cash back around Black Friday sales so hang in there for 2 weeks.

Might also add the latest version of the DR900 does away with the need of a Power Magic Pro and also allows for a 4G SIM card inserted. Quality wise it’s hard to beat BlackVue but the Viofo and Thinkvue ones are also very decent for 4K recording.

  • How are people getting $719? Looking in the website it's $829 with 10% off its $746
