Why is this a thing? Are vegans going to rescue crickets now?
Since, to our limited knowledge, insects lack whatever it is to feel pain like we do, lots of vegetarians will eat insects instead of red meat.
Bug protein is more sustainable and better for the planet than animal agriculture, which is second only to fossil fuels for greenhouse gas emissions. So the popular talk goes.
But these guys must be cashing in on the novelty factor. Crazy prices for some bugs imo.
