I went from a old v6 to a dreame. Prefer the dreame it’s more economical and does the same job I need. It’s not like it’s not sucking something up that is worth the extra $300

@Dex38313: Thanks a lot,I got my V6 at 2016, the soft roller head didn't spin this year. (Had been fixed by Dyson in 2018). Maybe I can see if they will fix it as I don't want to pay $100 for a new soft roller head

There is no set length for consumer warranty, it is a question of what is reasonable. It is definitely not 'far beyond' manufacturer warranty.
A 4 year warranty for a $500 vacuum is not reasonable.

My DC59 is 6 years old and still working. I had to replace the battery as you'd expect from a cordless device.
Where did you get your battery? Generic or original. I replaced it with V7, but miss the grunt DC59 had.
I bought it from Dyson. With high-drain devices like that, I would go for an original. They use 6x Sony VTC4 cells which can do 30A drain. Cheaper batteries may not use high-discharge cells so they won't last as long or will just cut out at max power.
The cells are $9 each if you buy them on ebay, so if you have a spot welder you could repack it yourself for about $54. They're $85 delivered from Dyson so it probably isn't worth the time and effort.
@eug: I got my Dyson battery recently via increased cash back from one of the cashback websites through catch.com.au where Dyson is a marketplace seller. Can get these products cheaper than RRP and worth it IMO.
My Dyson V6 has been running fine since 2015.

Had my V10 for two years. Filter needs cleaning with water after every use now, very annoying.
Buy a replacement filter, should solve the issue.
I had the exact same problem, after about 2.5 years the filter warning light came on every time I used it irrespective of cleaning. I also had another issue where the bin would just come straight off when trying to empty it. Anyway I booked it in for a service and despite being out of warranty by 6 months they replaced the filter for free, didn't charge me a service charge and only charged me a small amount for the broken part which was fixed in about 15 minutes on the spot. Overall happy with the service.
Spoke to the guy there and he said the filters are consumable and do need to be replaced from time to time, in my case about 2.5 years.

I rang them and told them that it was sitting in my cart last night and thought to pay in the morning but somehow the coupon stopped working and firstly she said no but when i said it will be a Christmas gift from you to me she said why not let me try again and then managed to get me deal. I dont know how to attach the snapshot here. Can you guide me through I am new in here. Thanks
@sahilk: Thanks, I called them up… they are saying Click Frenzy ended on 12th and the order was placed on 16th so the discount wont be honoured although the cart value showed it.
I spoke to Dyson. They need to see screen shot of the v10+ for $649 on an existing order to put through. Pls do share a screenshot if anyone has an order on its way for those unlucky ones like me that missed out.
