    Is this better than the Kingston A2000 1TB NVME M.2 SSD (SA2000M81000G) - $139 @ centrecom?

      • technically not wrong, if you're only using it for windows and game

    • Yeah it is, the 1TB SN750 is capable of read/write speeds that are at least 1000MB/s faster than the A2000.

    • +4

Yes. This is WD Black, not to confused with the WD blue(which can be compared to the kingston A2000). The WD Black is probably in the same league as the Samsung 970 evo plus. I may not be accurate, at least that is WDs intention

Anybody else here playing the long game and waiting for 1TB = $100 M.2s?

    • We haven't even seen sub $100 ssds yet.

      • M.2 SSD are typically cheaper than 2.5" SSD anyway

  • +1

So this is better than the Samsung Evo 970 1TB from another recent deal?

    • They're roughly on par imo but the Samsung drive is 5 year warranty in Australia. Not sure on WD's international warranty.

    • +2

      The Samsung is faster.

  • +3

doesnt matter if you have an nvme ssd with either qlc, tlc, or mlc flash memory majority of people wont notice the difference only big data users eg. 4k video editors.

only reasons to get the "faster" ssd is for a. bragging rights b. you have the money for it.

heck even a cheaper sata ssd would work the same as nvme for majority of people.

  • Been waiting for a deal like this to come up, thanks OP. Delivery 8 - 22 Dec, hopefully earlier than later!

  • i have 2 of these, they are good ssd's

  • price protect time!

  • Should I get this or 970 EVO…XD
