  • Stacks with cashback?

  • This looks very similar to the ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 4 in terms of specs. Wondering which one is better in terms of build quality and also is there any difference in size/weight for comparable 14" screen size

    • Yoga is a convertible. This one will convert once and you will break it in the process. :)

    • +1

      Yoga is about 200gr heavier

DDR3? Noups Thx greta price btw

  • I'm still trying to decide X1 Carbon or XPS13 on Black Friday? I run QGIS, so grunt is important.

Has Dell sorted out their software and quality control problems, or should I go with Lenovo?

  • +3

    8th gen i5 for 1500? No please.

  • Three generations old processor being passed on as an offer?! Jesus, we're not idiots here.

  • Missed out on the amex offer but I'm not in need of a laptop right now hopefully next time around I'll be ready prefer the AMD CPUs these days

  • +1

CPU is ancient (not that there's been much improvement from Intel in years though), no dedicated GPU and they still want over $1500… That's not what I call a bargain when there's stuff like this:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/582511

    • 300 nits glossy and 300 nits anti glare whereas this X1 Carbon Gen 7 is 400 nits anti glare. This is not a bargain but it has pretty good screen for use in mixed lighting.

  • Stop posting this same deal! It's not a bargain

  • Apparently you pay for the design and build, not for what's inside. Not worth the money for this premium model when there are so many alternatives.

  • @SarsCov2 what you suggest as an alternative? I am thinknig Dell XPS

  • Solid deal - nothing beats this on the market.

    People are butthurt.

  • +1

This is a business laptop. People are taking this as a everyday laptop.

It's 1.1kg and superior build. The last deal got heaps of upvotes..

    • don't forget this can take a full egpu setup through thunderbolt with all ports working. With a dock at home or something connected to a egpu at home and detach, take to work
