Just having a look at the Boost site and see that they have a 300gb for $300 $260, 12mth expiry deal going on. It doesn't indicate any end date for the deal.

  • 60GB Bonus data on $300: Customers who activate a $300 SIM, activate $2 SIM and recharge $300 for first time, or swap to Boost Anytime Ultra $300 plan. First recharge 1 February 2021.

  • Can someone explain to me why the $300 recharge never goes on sale!?

My understanding is this does not work to recharge a current boost number

      • If I buy this from OW, will I get 300 GB or 240 GB?

Yes, it should be for the first recharge. Did you want to transfer your number to that sim?"

      Possible price-beat with OfficeWorks?

      • +2

won't be able to as it requires a promo code. I believe Officeworks requires it to be the advertised price before coupons etc.

    • Because they don't have to give incentives to existing customer. I reckon their KPI is only based on new customers who picked up the sim kit?

      • One reason why I miss Kogan, their voucher can be used for recharge as well and they were excellent value (giving extra GB to current plan as well not just new plan). Currently on Boost for the better coverage and better port in deal.

    • I think it's on sale reasonably regularly isn't it? Generally $240 for 240gb for 12mths. This time, rather than take money off, they've added extra data.

      • It is but its always the prepaid sim $300 which is only for new services, for existing customers you would need to port out and in to take advantage of it. Where as this deal is for new and existing customers.

        • Porting's pretty simple, just jump to kogan for $3.90 for a month and back. I did and it's not really too much hassle for Telstra reception at a fraction of the price.

  • +3

if you're eligible to this deal comes to $226

    • if im a existing boost customer am i able to keep my existing sim and jump on this deal?

  • I am a Boost user and I can confirm that its excellent value for money and the reception is very good too. Also gives free international minutes, nothing to complain really

  • +4

Activated a $300 sim yesterday for only 240gb of data. Just contacted their live chat who gave me the bonus 60gb this morning!

  • Silly question maybe, but apart from slightly higher data, is there any reason people are taking this rather than the $25 ALDI plan - same network. Month to Month so you can cancel whenever you want, rather than 'locked in' for 12 months.

    • +4

Boost / Telstra are the only ones that work where I work, which is outback Western Australia.

    • +3

Aldi only use the wholesale telstra network which is a handicapped version, noticeable once you get out of the city. Boost use the full network. This combined with slightly cheaper rates and data bundling (you don't lose you data each month) makes it a bit better.

  • do they offer eSim yet?
and if im postpaid telstra, can i take up these boost deals?
    thanks!

  • +1

Had a $300 SIM sitting round that I'd picked up when they were $250. Activated it today and got the pleasant surprise of 60GB extra. 300GB of telstra data for $250. Not bad.

  • Hi, just wondering does "First recharge 1 February 2021." mean the plan expires on that date? I currently have a Kogan account which expires Feb 21 2021, and wanting to switch to boost but I'm not sure when it would expire. The deal for Boost ends 28th December. Would anyone know?

    • +1

Boost chat: “You can activate the SIM until before the 1st of February 2021. That is the latest date that you can activate the SIM.” (To get the bonus data)

      • You have almost answered the question that I have too in your reply.

I am new to Boost having just bought and received my first sim.

I bought the $30 Prepaid (+ $10 sim charge) with the intention of getting the 20Gb + 20Gb offer.

The offer states "SIM SALE ENDS DEC 21" and it also states "Customers who activate or swap to Boost Anytime Ultra. First recharge by 1 February 2021".

Do I have to activate the offer today, 21 December to receive the bonus even if I don't recharge or can I just activate and recharge by 1 February?
