Damn!!! This deal Just came out 1 day late :-(
I recharged yesterday my current boost on $150 with 80gb data .

    • Dammit, same!
I only could use 130GB from the $300 SIM, so this 110GB for $159 is actually more suitable for me (and I believe most people).

      …oh, well

      • Just buy the 110 more frequently like every 10
        Months

        • Maybe.
But I've just recharged with the $300 again, so it'll have to wait 12 months. In that time, Boost may get worse (basically no call centre/customer service) and new deals may pop up that are more competitive.

          For instance, this deal
Get phone. Sell phone as Brand New for $900. Keep using old phone, or upgrade to a phone of your choosing. Was salty for missing this stealer of a deal too :(

          • @Kangal:

Get phone. Sell phone as Brand New for $900.

This isn't always easy and guaranteed though.

I just got off chat with Boost live chat and they did a "one off courtesy" manual add of the bonus data.

      • So the bonus data doesn't come with this plan?

        • Hi,

It def does. 30GB + 80 Gb bonus = 110 Gb. After activating please download Boost Mobile Australia app from Playstore or App Store and it will show you the 30gb data as standard and 80 Gb Bonus data in the drop down menu.

          Kind Regards,
          Team @ Cellpoint.

    • Contact BOOST via chat and tell them that you charged a couple of days ago and would like to have the bonus data. I have done that in the past for myself and for my niece’s plan and they honoured. Say that your friend was given bonus data proactively earlier.

  • +2

I just ported out as I ran out. How long do I have to be out before I can become 'new' again? And when does this expire?

    Cheers!

  • Is there a date you'd have to activate this by to get the 'bonus' 80GB data?

    • Am wondering this too.

    • +3

      *80GB bonus data on $200: Customers who activate a $200 SIM by 31 January 2021. ( Total: 110GB)

      • Totally missed that in the link. Thanks!

  • +1

This is not a recharge right ? Any hints on the best 6 month recharge options ?

    • Port out to kogan for 3 months for $14.90 then port back.

  • +5

I'm currently using Boost SIM. Can I port it to the new one? Has anyone tried this before?

    • I would also like to know. My credit is expiring in a couple of weeks, and I want to have a plan sorted… be it porting out and back, etc etc

    • Port out then back in. Done this twice. I used the Aldi sim Card, 5$, no plan. Switched on the same day.

  • Decent deal but again not 110 all the way if activating later

  • +1

Wanting a recharge one myself… Coming to an end shortly for my current one

  • +5

Any deal for recharge for the existing customers?

  • thanks op

  • any deal for $150 recharge?

    • You can recharge via the app if you're already on it

  • +5

If ti wasn't for the 80GB bonus and the drop in price, how can Boost compete selling this for $200 and 30GB data at their normal price?

  • +1

Awesome deal, does this also come with the free AFL/NRL streaming due to being on Telstra Network?

    Thanks

    • It has for me on previous boost prepaid options

  • How is porting from Telstra to Boost nowadays? Do I still need to call and request a special sim or just try and port as usual?

    • +1

Just went through this process this morning. Took maybe an hour, it's all done over their message centre and no requirement to get a special sim.

This was done using the old $150 sim plan I bought earlier in the year.

  • no international roaming on boost. FYI to anyone that needs this

    • same as Telstra Prepaid then (?)

  • +4

Whats the best way to get onto these if you are already on prepaid with Boost? Port out then back in again? How long do you have to wait?

  • Recharge is $150 for 80GB 12 months right?

    • +3

Yeah. Existing customers get shafted. Yet they expect loyalty?

    • +1

I am with boost and my plan will expire soon. How do I do the $150 12 month recharge? I am not seeing that option in the website or the app.

      • Worked fine for me via app. Are you on mobile data?

  • Can you transfer your number? I am getting off contract with Telstra, and I was thinking on changing it over to boost? Thanks guys!

    • Port your number to Optus then back pretty sure it’s quicker

  • No 5G?

  • is there a boost app to track data usage? thinking of porting my daughter to this plan but the Kogan monthly data allocation is handy even though it's prepaid yearly

    • +3

Yes there's an app that tracks.

      • Installed on the device using the data

  • Does anyone know if Cellpoint's sims come with a number or are blank? I'm chatting to Boost at the moment about swapping from a prepaid to one of these plans and they said it can be done, but only if the sim has an existing number attached IE comes with it

    • +1

      Hi,

All value sims from Boost Mobile i.e $30, $40, $200 & $300 have a mobile number allocated to the sim no matter if its purchased from us or elsewhere. If you are after blank sim without any number on it than you will need to contact Boost Mobile via their Message Us tab in the help section and request them to send one to you which should take about 1-2 days.

      Kind Regards,
      Team @ Cellpoint.

  • Can you add data later if you blow your allowance?

    • +1

If you use all of the data before the 12 months is up, your plan has effectively ended and you just recharge to whatever plan suits you best at the time. Or you port out. You don't have to remain with Boost.

  • Me & Mrs plan is expiring next month. Can we use this offer to top up?

    Thanks

    • New customers only. NO RECHARGE!!

    • This is a new Prepaid SIM card however I have got Boost customer service to activate it and transfer my existing number.

  • I was just on chat with Boost customer service and they advised that the bonus data promotion only applies for sims purchased direct from their website. Can anyone confirm that when they purchased the sim from Cellpoint (or other retailers), that the bonus data applied?

Also, I purchased a $200 sim from Cellpoint a few weeks back, hoping to get the 100GB data included but did not activate as yet. If I activate it today, would I get 110GB?

    • +1

      Good question

    • +2

Yes I did the same. Activated today and got 110GB.

      • You bought yours from Cellmate?

        • Yes last month

    • +1

      Hi,

Yes you definitely will get 110 GB upon activation of the Boost $200 Sim starter pack.

      Kind Regards,
      Team @ Cellpoint.

      • Thanks for confirming!! I managed to activate the sim and told them that I should get 110gb of data and it was there!!

  • I have the $200 sim from last time, but I haven't activated it yet. If I activate it now - will I also get the bonus data?

    • Yes I did the same. Activated today and got 110GB.

    • Hi,

Yes you definitely will get 110 GB upon activation of the Boost $200 Sim starter pack.

      Kind Regards,
      Team @ Cellpoint.

  • Can you get an Esim with boost?

    • AFAIK, no.

eSIM is currently available to customers on postpaid plans with the primary network carrier (Telstra in the case with Boost).

      • weirdly, even Telstra prepaid customers can get esims, but boost customers can't

  • My boost plan is expiring next month
Found this AMAYSIM 150 for 120GB plan, is that good?
    https://www.amaysim.com.au/plans/long-expiry-plans/unlimited…

    • Only downside is you are going to be on the Optus network which depending on the area can have a huge impact on reception

  • Dam Boost…. I activated mine yesterday

  • Is there any reason to get this over the catch 120gb for 120$ 365 day plan? Are Telstra towers that much better than optus's?

    Thanks
    https://m.catch.com.au/product/catch-connect-365-day-mobile-…

    • Depends where you are, if you're rural, Telstra is a must for some. Optus should be fine for all metro areas (in some cases better than Telstra).

  • +1

catch mobile is $120 for 120gb, so this boost deal isn't really a good deal right?

  • Can you price beat with OW?

  • When is the latest that I can activate this recharge? my current plan expires in mid jan.

    • According to the OP the 31st of Jan 2021.

      From the Boost site:

*80GB Bonus data on $200: Customers who activate a $200 SIM, activate $2 SIM and recharge $200 for first time, or swap to Boost Anytime Ultra $200 plan. First recharge 1 February 2021.

*60GB Bonus data on $300: Customers who activate a $300 SIM, activate $2 SIM and recharge $300 for first time, or swap to Boost Anytime Ultra $300 plan. First recharge 1 February 2021.

  • Noob question!

I am with Dodo and want to keep my number.

Do I just simply order this sim through the cellpoint website, and then when I receive the boost sim-card, port my number from dodo to boost?

I am asking this because on the order page I don't see any part asking whether I want to port my number to Boost, or a new number.

    Thanks!

    • +2

      Hi.

Thank you for your inquiry. Upon receiving the sim card via express delivery you need to activate the sim on Boost Mobile website (www.boost.com.au) where you will be given the option to Transfer your number. Follow the prompts and activate the sim and your number from Dodo should port over to Boost Mobile.

      Kind Regards,
      Team @ Cellpoint.

      • edit - question answered above!

    • +1

      Hi,

Thank you for your order. All orders get shipped by us asap as received. Also we ship all orders via Australia Express Post only. If your tracking is showing its at Mel Airport that means it has arrived pretty quick from WA considering the current conditions. We are sure it cannot have reached any earlier than this due to the current border restrictions and also all couriers companys including AU post having a massive back log of jobs to clear.

Your order was received on 24th after cutoff.
Posted by us at AU Postoffice on 25th.
Scanned and dispatched by flight by AU post on 26th and arrived in Mel the same day.

We have always tried are very best and have been working very hard to ship all orders as soon as we can but when it comes to shipping its beyond our control and using Platinum AU Express post is by far the fastest means at the moment from WA.

      Kind Regards,
      Team @ Cellpoint.

      • Same here, although I ordered also on 24th
Now it is 29th, still in processing,

  • Hi Cellpoint. i entered in the coupon and the order went through without the discount.
can someone please contact me regarding my order?
do i cancel it again and reorder?

    • A little concerning that no email received yet regarding if the item has been sent yet.
Have replied to the invoice email some hours back with no response to that yet.

Making me think I may have been better off ordering via Boost directly at same price.
