    For some reason I still have one unit of the 875-1038a HP omen in my cart on the hp website for 2K. Anyone who wants/needs one in Adelaide? More than happy to buy for you.

    I paid with PayPal (using debit card) refund was processed got email saying my refund should be in PayPal balance. I checked there’s $0. I click the transaction in PayPal and it says refunded to my debit card.

    Is this the same as everyone else? Confused as to why the refund email says it should be in my PayPal balance.

      Yeah, the same thing has happened to me. I'm assuming it will take another few days for the funds to actually go back into your bank account from PayPal.

        I called through to the sales team and told them my recent order was cancelled and i was really hoping they could provide a comparable model to purchase. I mentioned i had seen someone post about getting the GT13 -0810a for $2000. He started to ask who it was/ order number, but I just quickly moved him away from those questions, and just asked whether he could do it for the $2000 or whether there was someone he could check with. He ended up agreeing to check with his supervisor and came back and agreed to it.

        GT13-0810a (10700kf current gen) is better than 875-1038a (9700k last gen). What are you talking about?

          32gb of ram as opposed to 16gb. 2TB Hdd and 1 TB SSD instead of just 1TB SSD.

          Why don’t you actually do some research. At no point did I say the CPU is better? What are you talking about?

      Sorry I’ve been so busy. Numerous people have messaged me for the order number. Hopefully they check this thread lmao.

      Here’s the number as promised. Note last Wednesday I was told on the phone there was only 5 units. It hasn’t sold out yet. Also note, HP kept going on the phone about how the discount is ‘a lot’ and a ‘once off’.

      I still have one in my cart so if HP deny the request I can buy one and ship it to you.

    Called up just before and got one, they didn't even ask for order reference for someone to match. It must depend on who you speak to.

    It might be best to call today or tomorrow as the person I spoke to was going on about it not being black friday anymore. If they say how much are you willing to pay, say $2k is your max.

        Yeah, that's the model.
        They debited the money from my account but I didn't get the email before I left work with order number. I won't be back at work until Thursday so I can't check my email until then. Sorry, I'll get back to you then.
        In the meantime I'd suggest calling and seeing how you go as they didn't ask me for anyone elses's order number, I'd say it is now a pretty standard offer?

    I got the gt13-0810A for $2k yesterday. But they said to keep it as a secret so I'm not too keen to give out my order number just in case mine gets cancelled. Literallt followed nongmings instructions.

      Actually, i tried calling the HP sales team and post sales and they ended up being pretty useless and unable to help. Stating that the 30% student discount was the best they could do. I was able to talk to the escalation lead via email who was able to approve the deal for me and then sales called me to organise payment. However, shes the one who organised the 25% off discount for my cancelled order which leads me to believe it's for those who order this computer. Goodluck everyone!

        Yeah I talked to a rep via email and they too said 30% off the inflated price of $5k was the best they could do. I told them I was only willing to spend a maximum of $2k and they just stopped replying.

              @Hackerman: I mean someone said they had 17 units. And when everyone else ordered, it clearly said "out of stock", but you could somehow still go through with the order. It was a gamble of course for a system that's 1 gen old (9th gen i7) which has probably stopped production :/

              It was a technical issue I suppose
