    • +12

      Watt a bargain!

      • +11

Stop it now!! This shocking!! :-)

    • And here I was thinking that when it came to terrible puns, I was the one who was…in charge.

      YEAAAHHHH!

  • 2c Good deal

  • 400mA only, but good deal anyway

    • How many mA is a USB2.0 socket on a computer?

      • 500mA max from the spec, though USB3 is more, and some motherboards allow higher current for charging things.

    • +1

If you look at the actual product image it says 500mA. Think the written specs are just a typo

  • +1

The orientation of the port on the bottom makes this imposssible to use in my powerpoints above the kitchen bench. The adaptor itself is quite long then you have to jam the usb cable in under it - no go :(

    • don't use it in the kitchen. problem solved :)

    • +4

there's only one thing that should be in the kitchen and it ain't an unmade sandwich

  • Awesome deal

  • +1

    thanks! 2c well spent!

  • +3

My 2c…. great deal thanks rep!

  • TinyDeal is buzzing with activity….so much so I can't get in.

  • All gone now I think…

  • Just worked for me.

  • where do I put in the code?

    • when you get to Paypal, after pressing "continue", it has a box at the bottom.

    • after you put in your paypal details etc, right at the end

    • beaten :)

    • I think you need to sign up first so that they can enforce one per member.

Great deal, but I'll abstain as I already have one. Hope it helps someone.

      • Purchasing through paypal creates an account automatically.

        • do you get the 99% discount if you purchase through paypal first after it creates the account automatically?

        • Yep! That's how I did it.

    • bottom of payment info page

    • created an account and found the text box at the bottom

  • Thanks! Can never have enough

  • Спасибо!

  • WHAT A BARGAIN!!! 99%

    loving it

    brought one for 2cents

    cant go wrong haha

  • I have one that looks the same and find it lacks the grunt to charge even my phone.

    • +5

if you want your charger to grunt, you're better off with a bull. Sure it won't charge your phone(which this one doesn't seem to do either), might charge at you.

      Just my 2c( oh wait)

  • Thanks

  • Ordered one, amazing deal.

  • Ordered one! Thanks OP!

  • great deal, grabbed one…

  • wahooo! got one!

  • +2

My spare 2c has been spent exceptionally well this time.

  • Sold out?

  • But does it have the C-Tick???
    Jks, bought one.

    • +1

      inb4 A3Australia starts with the A-Tick, C-Tick and just F-Ticks off

  • -4

Not even worth 0.00001c. They break within a day

    • +4

That's just your 2c. Deal with it. :)

      • +1

I think he just saved some.

        1. Don't buy these Chargers
        2. Waste battery by using a non-save mode charger
        3. ???
        4. Profit(2c)
    • So if you paid $7.30 for a wall charger and it broke after a year would you be upset with its durability?
In fact, going by your "not worth 0.00001 cents" comment, you would be disappointed with it's durability if you paid 36 cents for it and it stopped working after a thousand years.

  • I see $1.85 and nowhere to enter the "ozbargain99off" code.

    • at payment options during checkout

  • Oopsie. Double posted!

  • Thanks - just got mine. 2c well spent.

  • Thankyou.. Great deal and is still active :)

  • thanks mate - just got mine. well spent 2 cent :)

  • I only have 4c spare. I wonder if I can grab 2? hmmmm.

EDIT: seems like not. great deal regardless..

  • had to sign up and login with the account, then i could put the discount on the checkout cart page and then use paypal to pay.

  • website is incredibly slow and keeps timing out..

    ozbargained me thinks.

  • not working anymore? =(

  • +1

sigh i get the following error msg :

Coupon Code is invalid or Coupon Code couldn't be applied because of the promotional items.

  • +2

    Expired i think

  • 400mA won't power a nokia, let alone anything useful

  • deal is dead

  • Expired :(

If device is as pictured then it is illegal in Australia as it does not have insulated pins

    http://www.accesscomms.com.au/reference/insulated-pins.htm

Australian Standards AS/NZS3112:2000 and AS/NZS3112:2004 for Australian Mains Plugs define the requirements for insulating the Active and Neutral pins of the plug. These requirements were introduced in response to a number of incidents (including fatalities) involving both mains-plugs and plug-in-devices where a metal object (such as a knife blade, a metal blind slat or a sheet of metal) came into contact with a plug pin that was partially removed from a socket and resulted in an electrical shock.

Since 3 April 2005 insulated live pins have been mandatory for all plugs (and appliances with integral pins). Approval Certificates for items having non-insulated pins were cancelled on that date. In the interests of enhanced electrical safety and to ensure rapid dispersion into the marketplace, each Australian State and Territory and New Zealand Electrical Regulator required that all electrical equipment was supplied with insulated pin plugs, at all points of sale, by 3 April 2005.

    • Sigh. Only a matter of time before someone reminded us of this - AGAIN.

    • If device is as pictured then it is illegal in Australia as it does not have insulated pins

Only illegal to sell. All your old plugs are still perfectly legal to use.

However who doesn't already have a few of these things in the drawer? Every second gadget comes with one to charge it.
If so, why risk using this? At least I would not place it near any curtains.
A have had a few cheap devices from China lose the magic smoke.

    • Wow you got negged for supplying perfectly factual relevant possibly life saving information . Not once , but 4 times …..

  • +7

All these cheapie switch-mode power adapters are generally of simplistic/poor design and can cause random electrical noise problems. You have actually done yourself a favour if you missed the deal.

    • I had a similar one and tried using it to charge my phone . It charged but the phone went nuts , randomly switching between screens and behaving as though it was posssesed !

      • -2

phossessed? Also you have 3 sss and then one s in your spelling of

        posssesed

  • can anyone please provide a link for a safe one?

  • +3

Buy a 2 cents charger to blow up a $1k device

    • +1

      LOL… 2c Charger + iPhone4 = smoke in the plane

      • +2

nah, apple are already good enough at that without needing any charger :)

      • +2

  • man i really wanted one it's only 2c

  • Can't use this as a spare for my HP Touchpad though, which needs 2A…

  • Damn, don't know how i didn't see this in the New Deals section… fark..
