Birkenstock Birko-Flor Men's Arizona Double Strap Sandals - Black $63 (RRP $105) + $5 Delivery ($0 over $85 Spend) @ Allsole.com

850
AS40

First deal post, apologies in advance for any mistakes.

I thought it was unisex but this website has separate listings for men and women.
Women's version: https://www.allsole.com/sandals-women-footwear/birkenstock-w…

At the time of posting, sizes available EU 35-42.

The website's delivery information is outdated, I bought two pairs which to my surprise made me eligible for free delivery. After clicking around a bit, I determined the free delivery threshold should be around >$85.

This code works on many items in the store which includes other popular brands like Doc Martens, Timberlands, Converse etc.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2020

  • Your link takes me to a website that is 60 pounds or A$105. How are you getting the $63?

edit: nevermind .. I missed the coupon code on top

  • +1

For some reason I read a***ole

  • +2

The women's ones are a narrow fit. 90% of people including women are probably going to want to order the men's 'regular' width

  • Thanks OP, got one.

  • Hmm i'm getting $74 including delivery via paypal. Any suggestions?

    • use a credit card with no international transaction fees

      • Ahh was using paypal. Oh well +$6 still not a bad deal. Thanks!

        • 8.8% fee for currency conversion I’d argue is a very bad deal, really shouldn’t be supporting paypal’s practices on this :/

          • +1

@parcus: I mean a good deal for birks in general, obviously the conversion isn't ideal but I don't have credit card.

      • Can change currency to AUD and won't pay any exchange rates.

        • Will try that next time, thanks!

  • Thanks got one. Other colours also available.

Have owned a pair for a while.
Do not let them get wet.
The sole peels away from the leather very quickly if they do.
Despite being often marketed as a boho hipster beach shoe, they definitely are not beach worthy.

    • Yeah this is spot on, they are not a beach shoe. These are sandals made of leather and cork. Treat them with respect and they'll last you a few years. You can even get them resoled. But you need to look after the leather and the cork. They are not havianas.

      • -3

I buy sandals/havianas to thrash. They are not something that gets looked after much.

        • Havianas and sandals aren't the same thing. You take your thongs to the beach or into the backyard or whatever. Sandals you can wear out or going walking or whatever, they are substantial and super comfortable, more so than many closed shoes. They're not to thrash haha.

    • +1

You should pick up some cork sealant when you purchase them too, and apply it right away. Within about 6 months the cork gets very dry with the sealant wearing off, then it starts to crack and you lose bits of cork. Have to apply the sealant regularly to keep them looking good.

      • -3

Sounds like a nightmare. Just get yourself a pair of adidas/Nike/etc slides and be done with it

        • +2

The comfort of Birkenstocks is unrivalled and they are far better for your feet. Look better too. I can walk around all day in them with no discomfort. Doesn't take long to apply the sealant, I use Kellys cork seal, you can buy from Amazon for about $15.

        • You need to maintain good things. You can throw out your slides when they wear out, that's fine. Don't yuck someone else's yum. Birks are miles comfier than slides or any adidas/nike shoe.

      • I have birkenstock from many years ago. Everytime i wear one now my feet feel dirty afterwards, even though I have tried to wipe them with wet paper towel.

Do you know why this is and how to clean it better?

  • Bought thanks. Been waiting for this.

  • £36 + £2.99 is more like $64.90 + $5.39 delivery for me?

Bought though, should be about $70.13

Cheers OP I've been waiting for a deal on these.

    • Change currency to AUD in top right.

      • Ah F, couldn't see it on mobile.

  • Thanks OP good deal.

  • Pretty good deal. Lowkey wished I hadnt bought one recently :(

  • Are these true to size. is. Did you just buy your normal shoe size without going up or down a size? I feel like I always see people wearing a Burks that are too big …

    • I bought UK 11.5 (EU46) and they're too big. They arrived today and I am gutted ;(

      I am 10.5.

Aldi had the same exact design in leather on Saturday 21 Nov for $15

    • +6

Yes and Oppo phones are cheaper than iPhones as well.

      • -2

Just because something is more expensive doesn't always mean better.

        • +1

More often than not you get what you pay for provided you do the research and you aren't simply getting ripped off.
Without even looking at the aldi version of this, I think I can safely bet they are nowhere near in terms of quality

        • +1

Just because it's Aldi doesn't automatically make it a good deal either - something many on OzB struggle to realise.

The amount of times an Aldi "special" can be bought for the same price from elsewhere normally is ridiculous

          • @BLB1984: I hate going to Aldi, most of the items on their catalogue could never be found in store. And often they are sitting in a pile of stuff like Sunday market clearance.

        • +1

Yes, but iPhones are definitely better than Oppo in this case.

  • I remember in the 90s, this sort of style was popular for a while. But became less favoured because they tend to smell.

  • It seems the "Men's" version is just the unisex version, and the "Women's" version is just the narrow fit version. Per their blog post

  • +1

Impossible to buy sizes for these. Gonna pass till I can try on some pairs of Birkenstock's one day.

  • Good deal, two pairs for $135 delivered. Original price before discount was 125 UK pounds (60 for mine, 65 for my wife's choice), came down to 75, happy with that Used 28 degrees card for a decent exchange rate.

    Thanks OP.

    • Can change currency to AUD and won't pay any exchange rates.

    • And potential price protection with 28D.
You’ve done it the true ozbargain way. Kudos!

  • I used Apple Pay and it’s $126 delivered for me, I bought two pairs. If you want to avoid the conversion fee, Apple Pay is an option.

Birkenstock is nothing but marketing bluff. They are so uncomfortable to wear and change its appearance very quickly when gets wet. I don’t know why people like it.
I’m using a pairs of Rivers leather sandals for couple years now (with abuse) and they just don’t seem to break.

    • Why would you get it wet? Are you going to complain if your dress shoes doesn't hold up after getting wet?
It's like buying something that's not weatherproof and whinging when you get it wet and it breaks.

Many people find it very comfortable and I do too.
Leather, suede, cork etc are all materials that should be kept away from water. It's common sense. These are not for wearing around the pool or the beach if you have not yet figured out

      • -2

No need to swim with it, just get caught in the rain is all it needs.
These are sandals, not dress shoes.

        • Why would you wear a sandal in rain full stop? Lol you truly are weird.
Thanks genius for letting me know this is not a dress shoe. They are same in that both aren't designed to get wet. Not a hard concept to get through your head

        • Got mine wet and worn to the beach plenty of times. Never an issue. I don't purposely wet them, but it is inevitable they will get sone water on thrm. Let them dry and reapply sealant when it needs it. Simple. Birkenstocks are incredibly comfy once broken in (it takes a while, the first few weeks are painful) and very good for your feet.

        • Put some water resistant shoes on like the Trail shoes from adidas or a gum boot in the rain. Better yet, buy some crocs.

  • tnx, copped for when I do a Linustechtips cosplay.

  • Grabbed a pair, Thanks OP

  • anyone had theirs dispatched yet? mine is still stuck on processing..

    • mine was dispatched on 30 Nov

  • Mines been sitting in the UK since the 28th

  • +1

    Mine's still stuck on Processing
    I've been emailed by them:
"This year, in line with government guidance, we are taking extra precautions to ensure our staff remain safe as we process your order. This combined with record numbers of orders received over the weekend, are resulting in slight delays to some shipments.

We expect that your order will be completed shortly and we’ll follow up with a dispatch email to confirm once it’s on the way."

Surely more than enough time to confirm the order…

  • Hmmm I only got part my order sent and they cancelled the rest. Got email and refund this morning. Only ordered two different pairs each for myself and hubby. Oh well at least we get one each under the tree

    • Yeah I just got my order cancelled as well, fulfilled my other pair of shoes but cancelled the birks.

  • Order cancelled this morning - really annoying

  • Received my pair this morning! Ordered 30/11. Managed to grab the last pair of my size too (I thought I was going to be refunded).

    • Was tracking updated on the order throughout the supply chain? Mine has been dispatched but stuck on the below from the order date;
1:46 AM- Tracking number allocated & order ready- BURTONWOOD,WARRINGTON,GB
      Cheers,

      • +1

Nah tracking wasn’t updated on the order. I chose free shipping so it didn’t give me updates at all besides when it was being sent out.

  • Does anyone have a UK10.5 they want to swap? I got the UK11.5 (EU 46, 300 mm) and I instantly knew they were too big.

    • I'm in the exact same boat, oops..

  • Has anyone actually received a tracking update from the courier? Mine seems to be stuck at Friday, November 27, 2020, 11:31 PM, Tracking number allocated & order ready, BURTONWOOD,WARRINGTON,GB.

    • Mine was stuck on this until early yesterday (Ordered November 28th). It is now moving around in the UK.

      • I see, thank you mate. Will keep an eye on it then.

        • Mine got cancelled on the 18rh of December

      • Any luck receiving your order mate? My status hasn't changed at all.
