If 250GB is all you need.

However, 500GB for $75. In stock and sold by AU.

    • Only $13 more (with code) for twice the size and local - no brainer.

      • +1

code is for first time app user only, which excludes many of us.
        $75 - $52 = $23
I am glad that my brain is different from yours lol

        • +1

Even $23 more still makes it less than 50% more money for double the size, plus local and fast delivery.
And with the coupon - which can't be used at all for the 250GB - it's just 25% more. Yep, no brainer.

That's still a different product. For someone that only wants 250GB this is $13 cheaper.
If this is the best price available for the 250GB I don't see why it should be negged.

        • Actually wouldn't MX500 be overkill for someone who needs 250 GB only? Might find some other cheap options?

          • +1

            @bajirao: Depends.
For c drive, mx500 is better than bx500 because it has a better performance in writing large number of small and random files.
it last longer as well, 5 years vs 3 years warranty :)

            • @TanedaR: I will be replacing my HDD so might go with the 500GB for $75. Though I am not sure whether to go with the MX500 for $75 or Seagate Barracuda 120 for $69 @ SE or WD Blue for $69 @ Umart. Spec wise they all seem similar. I had a Crucial mSata (on an older laptop) fail on me just after warranty period :(

    • As I said, it's for system use.
Win 10 takes less than 150GB so yes, 250GB is all you need
Many of us have already taken advantage of the 14TB HDD deal
I bought 2 for data storage.
not to mention NAS for backup/network storage

  • Another alternative: Kingston A400 240GB from Centrecom in store only.
Yes, it's half the speed - but it's also $38. Upgrade from HDD on the cheap for tight budgets.
