Please read the terms below carefully as it will save a lot of questions. Valid for purchases made from 4:00pm 30/11/20 to 6:00pm 30/11/20 (AEDT). Thanks for your support as always. Please stay safe, and enjoy :)

  • During the 2 hour promotional period, 12% cashback for Amazon Australia is capped at $25 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made. Valid 4:00pm to 6:00pm AEDT 30/11/20.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards, kindle unlimited, audible, mobile apps, subscribe & save items, prime subscriptions.
  • Ensure your Amazon cart is empty before clicking from Cashrewards, as items added prior to clicking will not earn cashback. Items must only be added to cart after clicking from Cashrewards.
  • Purchases paid with gift cards are eligible for cashback (not Amazon credit).
  • You must return and click through from Cashrewards to Amazon every time you make a new transaction/purchase.
  • Cashback is paid on eligible purchases, excluding delivery, taxes & GST.
  • Pre-orders are eligible for cashback only if the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.

Ensure you disable 3rd party plugins and don't click away to other sites looking for codes etc after clicking from Cashrewards as tracking will be lost (feel free to try our recently updated mobile app). Note: Amazon tracking can take up to 4 days to report. Don't forget to refer-a-friend for $30 (they get $10) - tip: add your code to OzB’s randomiser. • yeah, looking for clarification too. I assume you are fine, I imagine amazon credit is them giving you money (like $5 when you buy something), and that a gift card balance is eligible for cashback, just like a gift card you haven’t applied to your account yet is.

      • Thanks for the reply.

I just checked my cashback for a purchase I made on Friday chasing the $10 cashrewards credit for amazon. (had to enroll)
But noticed it was unfortunately declined. It was also made using $ from a Gift Card balance.
        Not sure why…

    • It the only place gift cards go so of course its eligible .
May get tricky if refunds are there as well and that too sophisticated .
Clear all and reload with gift cards if that the case is the simple solution .

    • probably a noob question but if i pay the entire order with amazon gift cards, the owing balance is $0, then i won't get any cashback

    • Amazon credit is when you've got "Promotional credit" in your account… such as when you've complained about something and they've given you a credit to use to offset future purchases. Note that unlike a gift card, it automatically gets applied next time you buy something shipped/sold by Amazon AU and if you refund the item, you don't get the credit back.

      • and if you refund the item, you don't get the credit back.

        interesting, didn't know that.

  • Should I log into my Amazon account first and then go to Cashrewards? Or is it ok to go from Cashrewards to Amazon and then log in?

    Ta.

  • Good deal TA but unfortunately for me all the computing stuff I looked for are listed at inflated prices. Much cheaper straight from the typical Google search.

    • Yeah to be honest, i'm not seeing anything on sale that i want atm.

    • Yeah to be honest, i'm not seeing anything on sale that i want atm.

    • +1

Yeah to be honest, i'm not seeing anything on sale that i want atm.

    • Yeah to be honest, i'm not seeing anything on sale that i want atm.

      • Add me to the list of honest people

Shame about the cap got excited for a moment

    • +4

12% is still better than 0% which is what a lot of categories generally are.

      • True.

I missed the Shopback uncapped one (second year running) and had some big ticket items that won't benefit much from this $25 capped one.

  • If i buy an item that is offering promotional balance will the cashback be honoured?

  • -1

Max $208 spent to get $25 cashback

    • +1

Cashback isnt paid on GST so you will need to spend more than that. $229.

  • +1

So wait.. can i just check - are items that are normally not eligible also eligible? Like… Toys?

    • Yep, and home improvement and a whole bunch of other things they normally exclude.

  • does that mean it will be eligible for video game related purchases?

    • +1

      Every category

      • Cool ty

      • Where does it say that?

        • +1

          First line?

          12% cashback on every category

  • So can use on that Samsung Phones and tablets?

    • Capped to $25 cashback

  • Aww, capped…

  • Nooo, I just bought $49.16 worth of kitchen stuff off Amazon…noob, should have checked OzB first!

    • +1

      Hit that cancel order button..

      • Can't, one of the items was a lightning deal so I can't get it back at that same price sighhhhh

        • Then you wouldn't have gotten it cheaper with 12% cashback. Time to start looking for other things to buy.

          • @ATangk: Actually would have saved another $4.50 from my other non-lightning deal items…where do I go to hand in my OzB card?

            • @Jicby2: Well, soulds like the lightning deal wasnt that big a discount, you should cancel it.

              • @ATangk: 'Tis a very important item…a cake tin with a chimney in the middle…

            • @Jicby2: Cancel all the items in the order except for the lightning deal? Will likely void your original cashback entirely though. Up to you if the 12% on the other items makes up for it.

  • Is cashback based on the amount before or after gift card is applied?

    • +1

Gift card doesnt affect eligibility, so before.

  • +1

Is it actually capped at $25 or is the 12% only capped at that and then the rest of the value of your order will be at whatever the cashback is normally at? e.g. 5% ??

    • Would guess that once you have reached the $25 cap, if you buy anything after this it would revert BACK to the original cashback for that category.

      • Yeah, youd hope so.. I've placed my order now anyway so I dont miss out. Worked out it was a $13 difference in the end.

  • TA you're the best

  • Does enabling cross site tracking in Safari impact on Cashrewards ability to track the sale? I always disable that and my pihole etc so these track ok but wondering if turning off cross site tracking is actually necessary?

  • Anyone manage to buy Amazon Gift Card via PayPal (3% off)? I keep getting "The seller can't accept PayPal payments at this time. Please try again later or return to the seller and choose another way to pay." message.

    • Maybe set up a Suncorp account? Shouldn't take long.

  • +1

There are a lot of items on Amazon now that have x% off coupons displayed on the page. Do these impact cashback?

    • I would like to know this too. @tightarse any tips?

  • Will this work if I purchase an item through amazon.com.au that is fulfilled by Amazon UK?

  • Crap just ordered a bunch of items from the non-CB categories yesterday and they have all shipped! Damn.

    (yes I'm aware I could return/reorder)

    • +1

Curse Amazon when they take ages to ship, curse em when they ship too quickly :)

  • I suspect prices are going to get jacked up. The item I bought in the morning has doubled in price.

    • Dynamic pricing.

      • -1

A fancy word for price jacking, like surge pricing.

  • Would this work when pre-ordering video games from amazon?

  • Video Games 0.00% :-(

    • It's 12% now, the cashback was only between 4pm-6pm ;)

  • 4PM now.. site has not been updated with the 12%. Still showing up to 10%. Should I wait till they update it, or go now and they will know?

    • +1

      Showing 12% now

  • still 10%?

  • Thanks TA. $229.99 purchase :)

  • Yewwww…Just updated to 12%!!!

  • In the T & G it says its ineligible on "Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards, kindle unlimited, audible, mobile apps, subscribe & save items, prime subscriptions, and all categories/products listed at 0% cashback." So which categories are listed at 0% can anyone clarify? Thank you!

    • They've removed the categories listing (usually on the left hand side of the page), so the cashback would apply to everything except what they have listed in the special terms.

    • +1

It also says: 12% cashback on every category

      • Thank you so much for confirming! I didn't want to go and order stuff and get disappointed :) appreciated.

  • price just got jacked up for a few of the items i was looking at

  • whenever i click through the new tab that opens often doesn't show in its history that I was on CR/SB. Will it still track if it's not in the history? I always keep retrying until I get it. But I'm unsuccessful right now.

  • Does it include videos games from UK and US?

  • -1

Anyone had the tracking email come through yet? I hate the part waiting for confirmation!

    • +1

the tracking will only comes after amazon has charged the order.

      • Is this true? They only charge when they ship… and if it doesn't track i can't cancel after it's shipped. hmm

      • I don't think that's correct. I've had items that are not in stock with delivery date pending track.

  • -7

    $25 cap .. crap deal.

    • i'm used to $0 from amazon.

      • -2

shopback wins this black friday/cyber monday.

        • i missed that one. But it's ok, I can't find enough stuff to buy to make it worth it. Shame there are no PS5s.

  • "Cashback is ineligible on ….. all categories/products listed at 0% cashback."

Can someone please provide a link to categories with 0% cashback, please? I can't find it on the Cashback website.

    • read the OP. There is no such wordings.

  • Is it a requirement to buy gift cards to stack with zip pay?
Or can i just purchase normally?

    • Why downvote? Answer is not obvious from comments.

    • No reason why they wouldn't stack.

  • +2

Tightarse do you know what happens if you go over the $25 cap? Will transactions be tracked at normal lower rates or not at all between 4 to 6pm?

  • I am looking for a printer . Is the cashback applicable on computers and devices ?

  • If I move stuff from my 'Saved for later' list then into my cart, will the cashback still track?

    • From past experience, yes.

Crash Bandicoot 4 @ $50 on EB games…wonder if Amazon will price match before 6pm? 🤔

  • +2

Literally buying things one by one and reactivating everytime. Safest way tbh. Should have done it with the shopback offer.

    • Did you receive any tracking confirmation?

      • Not yet. 8 orders in total lol

      • Takes a while to get confirmation.

If you've got Prime, separate orders is the safest way. At least if you cancel or return one item it doesn't void the cashback on everything else.
