  • Mine was shipped this morning .
    Estimated Delivery 7 Dec Adelaide

    • Did you receive it yesterday? Please report back with how you find it? I'm yossing up between this and the LG SN9YG.

      • The LG is $350 more. is it worth it for 2 extra speakers?

        • The Samsung keeps getting intermittent reports of instability with hdmi connections, audio dropouts. Not as bad as the Q950T, but far greater than I've heard for the LG SN9YG. I have an LG TV that sits low and the LG soundbar will probably sit in front without obstructing the screen, while the Samsung will.

The sound on the Samsung is reportedly more natural and open, that's why I'm tossing up between the two.

          • @razzy: Yeah those sound dropouts share me also. Hopefully fixed in firmware. Also issued with LPCM for game consoles.

Why do you think the Samsung bar will block the screen its only 4mm taller?

            • @poxy001: After checking the details even the LG bar will block the screen, so no advantage for the LG there. I'm leaning towards the Samsung because of sound quality.

But remember this soundbar system is 3.1.2 not 5.1.
I purchased the rear set to try.. do not know if theyd make a big difference.. they are tiny speakers..

          • @Niroshansira: Thanks for the link. Wouldn't the addition of the rear speakers turn it into a 5.1 though?

            • @razzy: yes good question. It should make it a 5.1.2 or a 3.1.4?

              • +1

@poxy001: These ones (SWA9000) don't have the upward firing units, so it should be 5.1.2.

              @razzy: Im not sure. 3.1.4
              I guess.
My rear speakers AWS9000S arrived today.
              Tiny but solid build.
              Pretty easy to connect.
I tested by listening to the virtual barber shop in YouTube and it sounded nice. The rear speakers did make a difference .

      • Soundbar delivered on the 8th morning to Adelaide
        I like it.
