Can the carpet head also be used on timber and tile floors? Or must use soft roller for hard floors only?

    • You can use carpet head on timber and tile, you may need soft roller head if you have lots of timber and tile as softhead do better job.

    • Yeah I've been leaving on my carpet head most of the time, for tiles and carpet.

  • Stupid question…. Does the carpet head work well on tiled floor?

    • +1

Yes, it work. You only need soft roller head if you have lots of timber and tile as softhead do better job.

      • Thanks! I got both so might go for the combo.

    • I'm not seeing the V10 for $279 anymore? Is it the same code?

      • Use same code.

        • Is the V10 good for both carpet and hard floor?

          • @R1ngSt1nger: come with soft head in the standard package.

            • @Gearbite: Thank you. Is the soft head okay with carpet? I can't see any option in the V10 to get both?

              • @R1ngSt1nger: We have two head combo for v10 but sold out at this moment, you can purchase carpet head separately after we have carpet head attachment.

  • Hi Rep, any chance to bring the V11 deal back soon? Our Dyson DC59 is showing its age now.

    • All sold out on black Friday, will update once have new stock.

      • When do you think you will have more stock?

        • Will take a while, did not expect to all sold out on Black Friday.

V10 way cheaper @ Kogan (after $30 CB from CBA, $20 plusrewards and app 5% discount).

    • +1

What's plus rewards? (Like a shopback etc?)

Also, anyone used any of the Kogan stick vacs?

I looked at a Kogan $149 version and it was 23kpa suction (vs this @ 20kpa).

Op- What brand of cells are in the battery pack with these models?

    • Kogan deal has no carpet head option. Plus no shipping until at least January.

  • Sorry, noob question. For a house with a couple of rugs and all other are timber laminate what fittings recommended?

    • +1

combo would be go, carpet head need to use for rugs. Soft head for timber.

      • +1

+1 to this. We use our standard head across all wood floors and on rugs for light cleaning but the carpet head really does do an great job for a rug deep clean.

    • +1

If you're feeling stingy you could try doing the rugs with the smaller head attachment. That's kinda like a mini carpet head :P
(I think it's officially the pet hair head?)

      • +1

Yep, the smaller head is awesome for sturdy rugs.

  • Do the filters need to be replaced?

    • +1

It is washable, you can get spare from Here

      • Is that part washable as well? I thought it was just the grey thing underneath.

        • +2

          It is washable.

  • Hey, is there any stock for just the soft roller attachment? I bought a carpet head only one last month (should've waited!) but really only have two rugs and the rest is timber flooring.

    • Please check Here

    • Same question. Also any deals on the soft head

  • +2

How does the Dreame V9 compare with all of the Dyson models?

    • You won't be disappointed. Some comparisons on utube you can check out. But for this price it's a no brainer.

    • +1

Been using Dream V9 for almost 2 years now? Or less, dont quite remember but it's been going strong. The Dyson V8 we had at work, which was much more expensive, was no better to be honest.

    • +1 for Dreame V9. I've been using it for about 6 months now. Outperformed our Dyson v8 easily.

  • Okay, ordered. Cheers

  • +1

Picked up the combo set in the last deal. The soft roller head doesn't tangle with long hair like the carpet head does and also just feels nicer when using on floor boards. I use the carpet head for the bedroom which works well but need to cut the tangled hair off after a couple of uses. My partner has quite thick/long hair though so ymmv!

    • +1

We had to pull the 2 little rollers out of the normal head as they constantly clogged with long hair. Still works fine without them and far fewer issues with hair clogging.

      • ooo thats a good idea, i thought it would have scratched the floor. i pretty much have to clean it after every use which is a bit annoying

        • Yeah we got sick of the 2 little rollers clogging. The rotating head at the front and the single wide roller at the back are fine on their own, and far easier to clean.

  • How do we get replacement filters for V9?

    • It is washable, you can get spare from Here

  • Does the v9 carpet head fit on to the v11?

    • +1

Yes, but color was different. Our v11 carpet head is under production, you can wait v11 carpet head if you need it.

  • Just got one. Thanks. Great price.

  • This or wait for T20?

  • +1

How does the warranty work? Back to manufacturer or?

    • Please contact us first.

  • What is the delivery timeframe to Melbourne? Thanks.

    • Normally 2-5 business days.

      • Thanks. Also, does it include handheld function as well? Thanks.

    • +1

I ordered this afternoon and got an email from Auspost that delivery will be on Monday or Tuesday. Location Melbourne south east.

      • Wow, that's quick. I placed my order just an hour ago, let's see how soon until I get a Auspost notification.

  • Does this come with the charging station shown on the page that you can mount on a wall and clip all accessories and vacuum into?

    • Yes.

  • Hey OP, is the dual head link still working? Tried to add coupon and got this code isn't valid. Link would be appreciated if still in stock, thanks

    • It should work, please double check and let me know if you need any help.

  • After I got my Dyson v8 Ultimate or whatever it is, I decided, after a bit of use, that it's a great $250 hand-held vacuum cleaner.

Seeing this I'm /so/ tempted to get it as a pressie. Damn.

  • Is this the only carpet head available for the v10?

OOS, any idea when it'll be back in?

    https://www.gearbite.com.au/products/carpet-roller-head-for-…

    • Hopefully earlier next Month.

      • Sounds good, thank you!

  • Got one, cheers

Looks like they jacked up $20 from last deal which I missed the boat. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/575872
I was expecting the same prices will be offered when I messaged the Rep inquiring when the fresh V9 stock would be in. .

    • Yeah why not if people still pay for it. I'll be waiting for the $259 price, with hose attachment too.

  • What is the difference between this and the V9P?

  • +1

Bought it in the last sale. This is not worth purchase without carpet head imo. Carpet head is versatile and can be used in both hard floor and carpet and have better suctioning compared to the hard floor head even on hard floors.

    • Good feedback. So would soft roller head really needed if I have both hard and timber floor and small area of carpet/rug?

      • Not needed if you ask me. I am barely using soft roller head.
Carpet roller head does the job everywhere

  • Just pulled the trigger and ordered.

  • Any deals on the D9?

  • Joined the party late, was after soft roller, shame it's been Ozbargained!!

  • what on earth is 400w going to do ? Surely these…. suck ;)

    • +1

My chorded Kirby is 700w, so 400w should be half decent. No idea what "120w of inhalation power" is though??

Purchased mine back in April. Died this week. Have submitted a request under warranty but haven't heard back yet. Let's see how this goes.

    • just curious to know what exactly do you mean by "died this week", is the issue with charging the unit or is it that the unit does not start at all despite being fully charged? for my unit, which is barely a month old, i have noticed sometimes the roller stops spinning while you can still hear the suction noise, so just wanted to check your experience.

      • Seems to be fully charged. But when I pull the trigger, the three lights come on with no suction or noise from the motor. Aside from the 3 charging lights there's no other response from the vacuum.

  • +1

We just got this from their last deal. Was slightly cheaper than this price. Came for $259 with combo heads. After checking the product manual, I realized that you really don't need to buy the soft roller head as the carpet head is suitable for both carpets and hard floor. Soft roller head would make sense if you have wooden floor and prefer to avoid using carpet head on that (due to spinning brushes). We have been using it for a month or so now. It is good in general and performs better than our old Dyson V6 absolute. However, recently I noticed that the soft roller head stopped spinning intermittently for some reason. Not sure why. Tried to check for any lose contacts or dirt near connectors but couldn't find it and its fairly new so didn't expect that this soon. Our old V6 is still in working condition but recently its 2nd roller head died too and replacing them with genuine ones is expensive. V6 was around 2.5 yrs old, hopefully this one will last around similar timeframe. So price wise this is certainly lot cheaper compared to dyson and certainly performs better than old V6 (or I assume V7 too). Reliability wise, only time will tell.

Please contact us at cs@ gearbite.com.Au. Regarding soft roller head warranty. We have very rare problem for soft roller head in this short period time.

      • Thanks for that. Will report it next time it happens. The problem is its not easy to reproduce so bit worried not much can be done. Few months back we purchased S20 under contract with optus and it had issues with usb c connection being lose. So video playback used to pause even with small movement of earphones. It was bit intermittent too as it started only after a week or so. Tried to upgrade the software but it crashed in the middle of upgrade due to lose usb connection. Did a factory reset and sent it back to store for investigation and they came back with no manufacturing defect so can't be replaced. In the end just wasted few weeks of everyone's time. Luckily the problem went away for some reason. Not sure if it was software issue or hardware but the store didn't find any issue during their 1-2 weeks testing. So gets bit tricky with these kind of intermittent issues.

  • I have tiled house. No carpets & rugs. Which one to buy this or Dyson V7 moterhead?

    Thanks

    • price & performance wise, i'd still recommend this over V7. durability wise i'm not too sure.

  • Pretty good price. I picked up one of these from the previous Kogan deal. For anyone who is disappointed about having no trigger lock on the V9, if you have access to a 3D Printer check out https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4445459

  • Hey Rep, I accidentally bought the w/ Carpet Head option instead of the combo. Just bought the combo deal.
